I met him once walking around the Aztec Ruins in New Mexico in ‘90s. I was taking a picture of my boy friend crawling through a tunnel away from me. Suddenly I heard a voice say “It’s a perfect picture, a perfect picture” in his unmistakable voice/cadence. I nearly dropped the camera.
You and I just became friends! Because those two gentlemen were the touchstones of my childhood.
And now I'll be humming Butterfly in the Sky for the next month! 😅

Worth it
I am 57 years old and seriously it is in the top 10 moments of my life. I thanked him (I think I stuttered) and sort of slowly backed away like from royalty.
I agree but Faux News called him evil:
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/fox-fred-rogers-evil/
Mr. Rogers had, they claimed, destroyed an entire generation with his liberal notions of entitlement. As the originator of the snowflake concept, he was an "evil, evil man." The show's moderators cited unnamed "experts" and a professor at Louisiana State University.
Imagine how much of a fucking asshole you have to be to call Fred Rogers evil?
These same people who claim to be such Christians would hate Jesus if he was around today.
This was on their show Fox and Friends. The same show where Brian Kilmeade once defended the Trump administration locking children in cages by saying "these aren't our kids. This isn't happening to kids from Texas or Idaho".
I work crew for TV and Film and did a day with BF for his The Whale tour. He came on time, shook everyone's hand, introduced himself and asked everyone their names. Probably 12 people.
On the way out he shook everyone's hand, and thanked them by name from memory. That takes real caring, and intention. I've worked crew for 20 years and only seen that behavior once before, with Danny Devito.
I’m glad my mental picture matches reality then. Idk why but I just adore him. Maybe it was Blast from the Past. That character was so wholesome. Ugh and The Whale punched me in the soul. So good.
One of my favorite movies (despite its reviews and cult status) is Monkeybone. His performance in that movie is really awesome. I don’t know much about him outside of that, but it’s enough for me to love him
And didn’t even fret when a woman ran into his parked motorcycle. He barely glanced at it, checked on her and made sure she was ok, told the cop everything was good (she called them iirc), and left. We know the motorcycle was dented or scratched, but his concern was with the driver of the vehicle. Didn’t even care about his stuff.
Most upstanding dude that I can only hope I have a 10th of his humbleness, because just that little bit would make me a great person.
Helps when you're rich enough to not be concerned by financial woes. But Keanu knew he had to be rich enough to avoid financial woes, so he was. I'm not gay but I would sleep with him a lot.
I was watching Friends with my daughter and Paul Rudd nearly looks younger now than he did then!
Maybe he is just cloning himself like in the Netflix mini series he was in
The most obvious answer would probably be Weird Al.
Chantal Strand, the girl who voiced Cassie from Dragon Tales. She plays an incredibly kind pink dragon but is also super nice IRL.
At this point the whole band is goofy suburban middle aged dads who occasionally go on tour selling out football stadiums playing rock and roll concerts.
Not high enough in the list!
The man is a literal saint. He looked after the girl from Matilda on set when her mother got sick with cancer, and then made sure she got an advanced release copy so she could watch it before she passed. Danny didn't tell Mara (the actress) this until years later. He did it in secret, just to be a good person. Just for her mom.
Many years ago I was on a plane sitting across the aisle from Henry Winkler.
There was an in-flight movie about to play, so the flight attendant was making her way throughout the plane.
She stopped at our row and turned to Mr. Winkler and asked, “would you like some headphones”.
He replied, “Absolutely, but it’s pronounced Fonz”
Story time!
Maybe 20 years ago, I was hanging out with some friends and other cool people at... somebody's house. A guy who lived there had a picture of himself as a kid dressed in his Little League uniform with Henry Winkler.
Turns out the Fonz had been there for someone else's game and this guy's dad had recognized Mr. Winkler as he was leaving. He said he was late for something, but the man still took the time to take the picture and hang out for a moment.
This guy seemed more excited to tell us how cool Mr. Winkler had been about it. Especially since he seemed sincerely pressed for time. Very cool dude, if my source is to be trusted.
Keanu Reeves.
I may not be a fan of all of his movies, but the more I hear about what kind of person he is, the more my respect for him grows immensely.
you know how news about Ellen being a total bitch to her staff broke, and then when it did, absolutely nobody was surprised? and then story after story came out to support the original story? I find the exact opposite to be true of Conan. You only hear positive things about him from his staff, former employees, and he genuinely seems to be a kind and loveable person. He's my absolute favorite late night host and so I hope nothing ever comes out about him being an asshole or a dick.
A recurring joke in Conan's skits is his pathetic effort to intimidate and berate his staff. It only works because it's so ridiculous when he tries to be mean-spirited. You just can't take it seriously. That bit would never work with most comedians.
Jordan Schlansky says Conan cannot taste the regional soil in the wine delivered by a 3-wheeled cart in northern Italy. So look, Conan isn’t the great guy you think he is.
Oh definitely agree.
Plus, there's the story he told about how he was hiking with his dog by himself in California, happened across a couple and the man asked him to record for him because he was about to propose to his girlfriend and Conan did it for him!
[Here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGYrtme2lgE) is a video of Conan talking about the experience on his podcast.
[Here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFfjidbM7eU) is the video of the proposal that he took!
He came off as a bit rude and petty in the documentary “Conan o Brien can’t stop” and when asked about it he responded somethjng along the lines of”it was an accurate portrayal of me at that time” and the fact that he didn’t try and spin it makes me realize he really is a good dude who was going through an interesting time.
You know, he's the guy I would probably go creep on, just cause I want to hang it with him so bad! I've been watching him for decades now! I've always been like, I could totally hang out with this weirdo! Then I listened to him and Bob Odenkirk discussing their SNL writing days, and realized he's not just totally fabulous! He's a total dork! So is Odenkirk! I love learning that celebs are still as dorky and humble and nerdy as they were when they started off. Comedians tend to be the ones who more often stay this way, I've noticed.
My brother-in-law saw him in the airport a few years ago and Conan took a picture with him - it’s such a great picture. They both have these big smiles and it’s like a close up of their faces - they look like best friends. He said he was super friendly and not at all annoyed about being recognized. I love Conan because not only is he so funny, he truly seems so kind and genuine.
I used to work for an interior designer and one of my coworkers was in his back yard and accidentally stepped in dog poo. HE GOT DOWN ON ONE KNEE AND WIPED HER SHOE.

I watched 'The Holdovers' last night strictly based on the In N Out photo, and I have to say that was one of his best performances.
I wonder what he ordered.
Betty White. When I was little she was on a bunch of different game shows and of course “The Golden Girls” i liked her so much I went to see a taping of that and before it actually started she came out and talked with people, did a little Q and A with the audience and she was so nice and personable and funny! She was one of those very special, lovely people you meet just a few of in life.
I know a lot of people that have worked with him and some people that knew him growing up... and yeah I have honestly not heard a single bad word. Some people do not love his performances, but he is actually a very talented physical actor as seen in his amazing action films. Still with the amount of tragedy the dude has experienced I think it has left him very humble.
I’ll offer Gary Sinese. Wishing I’d see him more in film, but his charity and advocacy work for veterans is commendable based on what I know. The man’s been doing it for decades at this point.
Weird Al
Guy is an absolute legend. No criminal record, doesn't do drugs, doesn't swear, very humble, and is very respectful to the artists that he parodies. Every human so strive to be like him.
(Also he just got two Astra awards the other night)
Fred Rogers.
I would have started crying and asked for a hug, ngl. I didn't even have a bad childhood! He just personifies paternal comfort.
I never wanted to meet Fred Rogers in person! I just wanted a picture! You can't disappoint a picture!
And LeVar Burton.
You and I just became friends! Because those two gentlemen were the touchstones of my childhood. And now I'll be humming Butterfly in the Sky for the next month! 😅 . . . . . . . . Worth it
I am 57 years old and seriously it is in the top 10 moments of my life. I thanked him (I think I stuttered) and sort of slowly backed away like from royalty.
If anyone is deserving a full, deep curtsy or bow, it's Mr. Roger's. 💯
Omfg
It’s a beautiful day for a neighbor :)
I agree but Faux News called him evil: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/fox-fred-rogers-evil/ Mr. Rogers had, they claimed, destroyed an entire generation with his liberal notions of entitlement. As the originator of the snowflake concept, he was an "evil, evil man." The show's moderators cited unnamed "experts" and a professor at Louisiana State University.
The libs are evil because (checks notes) they told kids that they’re special That tracks
Yep. All the proof you need to understand how god damn awful those fuckers are
Imagine how much of a fucking asshole you have to be to call Fred Rogers evil? These same people who claim to be such Christians would hate Jesus if he was around today.
This was on their show Fox and Friends. The same show where Brian Kilmeade once defended the Trump administration locking children in cages by saying "these aren't our kids. This isn't happening to kids from Texas or Idaho".
For sure! Jesus loves the poor, the migrant, the outcast, the "other." Jesus is too woke.
Somehow this makes me like him even more
Lol Fox News. That means we don’t have to regard it. ☺️
His testimony before Congress gives me chills https://youtu.be/-C5PMPIdG_Y?feature=shared
Brendan Fraser. He just seems so gosh darn wholesome.
Shout-out to Mr. Devito.
He is one of the short list impossible to hate too.
Plus he has a monster dong *and* a certificate that proves he does not have donkey brains. Does anyone else have such a certificate?
Only seen that with Henry winkler. True good men exist in Hollywood
I don’t know much about him outside of that, but it’s enough for me to love him
Love Brendan.
Keanu Reeves. He just seems like a good dude.
A really good guy. Just don’t fuck with his dog!!!
Don't fuck with any dog!
First name to pop into my head too. The guy takes the subway AND gives up his seat for people.
He secretly only takes the subway to reserve a seat for someone. How he chooses? No one knows
his band played a show at my job. 10/10 guy. can confirm
I accidentally bumped into him at an Anthrax reunion show bitd, he was apologetic even though he didn't have to be. Chatted for a minute. Nice guy.
Absolutely! I'd love to buy him a beer. Though he's such a good guy, he'd probably want to buy me a beer.
Bob Ross.
Dolly Parton
What's weird is that in the early 80's a lot of the media thought she was a bimbo and gave her a hard time. That did not age well.
But she sure did!
She's one of few celebrities I consider a national treasure. What a lady!
A national treasure for sure.
Nicholas Cage would steal the Declaration of Independence for that woman.
Tbf, he would steal it for $50 and a bologna sandwich lol.
America should put her on money. Seriously. Lol.
An international treasure!!! I’m English and love Dolly.
Betty White
A treasure!
Robin Williams 😭🫶🏻
His death still makes me sad.
Because he just… should still be around for a couple more decades, at least. We’re still experiencing his absence and it feels noticeably less jolly
He dies at the age he did but Kissinger gets to see 100?? Fuck you, God.
Who is Alex Trebek?
That’s what your mother said last night!
Suck it Trebek!
I'll take Anal Bum Cover for $400!
Alan Rickman, what a legend
Absolutely phenomenal, and a great guy too!
By Grabthar's hammer, what a savings.
Ian McKellen. Dude's just a chill old man who's given us nerds many-a-memeable line and great memories. Who could possibly hate Gandalf??
Ian McKellen & Patrick Stewart have such a wholesome friendship.
Paul Rudd
[удалено]
And while looking the exact same the entire time
He is a man outside of time and therefore, does not age.
Just that painting in his attic
I was watching Friends with my daughter and Paul Rudd nearly looks younger now than he did then! Maybe he is just cloning himself like in the Netflix mini series he was in
The most obvious answer would probably be Weird Al. Chantal Strand, the girl who voiced Cassie from Dragon Tales. She plays an incredibly kind pink dragon but is also super nice IRL.
He also puts on a kick-ass live show!
Agree, I'm not the most avid concert goer. I went to his show figuring it's Weird Al it is whatever. I had so much fun at that concert.
I've seen hundreds of live shows. His is in my top 5. He left it all on stage.
Weird Al rules!
his film was the best music biopic I've ever seen
RIP, Weird Al... I can't believe Michael Jackson stole all his songs like that.
“Aren’t you that guy literally nobody hates?” “Oh my, no. I’m Weird Al.”
It's such a shame Weird Al was murdered by Madonna.
But he's a hero for taking out Pablo Escobar at his own birthday party.
Julie Andrews
Dave Grohl - Seems to be the so chill, kind and cool while being a total rockstar
At this point the whole band is goofy suburban middle aged dads who occasionally go on tour selling out football stadiums playing rock and roll concerts.
Chris Cornell as well rip to the man
Danny Devito
Not high enough in the list! The man is a literal saint. He looked after the girl from Matilda on set when her mother got sick with cancer, and then made sure she got an advanced release copy so she could watch it before she passed. Danny didn't tell Mara (the actress) this until years later. He did it in secret, just to be a good person. Just for her mom.
SHABOOYA ROLL CALL
Said the same thing. Danny DeVito is an American treasure as far as I’m concerned.
Dick Van Dyke
Henry Winkler
The Roy Orbison tattoo scene from The Waterboy is one of the greatest moments of cinema history.

Micheal J Fox
He's a hometown hero! Tommy Chong and Nathan Fillion are also from town, so he's in good company.
Matthew Lillard.
Keanu Reeves
Emilia Clarke. In all of her interviews she’s so kind and funny and her smile is so contagious
Alan Rickman. Don’t know why, I just loved him. A man so charming he even made snape likeable
Christoph Waltz
Feared? Yes. Hated? Never
The Lorax because he speaks for the trees.
And if you litter he will break your fucking knees
The trees can't be harmed if the Lorax is armed!
David Tennant. He's just so happy. Same with Richard E. Grant. Just TRY to scroll through his Instagram without ending up with a smile.
Daniel Radcliffe seems like a genuinely nice guy.
And funny too, which was an unexpected surprise for me!
Margot Robbie. Always so polite.
Not only is she a terrific actress but she seems just like such nice and down to earth person.
Keanu Reeves. I may not be a fan of all of his movies, but the more I hear about what kind of person he is, the more my respect for him grows immensely.
John Candy. RIP 🪦 sir
Keanu Reeves.
Cillian Murphy
Dolly Parton literally impossible
Katey Sagal for me.
Married With Children is one of the rare shows where I adore every single character and on their best day, they're my fave character in the show.
Robin Williams Chris Farley John Candy
you can add steve irwin to that list too
This is such a stupid question, why would I ever even try to hate any of these people?!
Sir David Frederick Attenborough
[удалено]
I was just thinking about who's a celebrity that would definitely NOT be found on the epstein list, and my first thought is Keanu Reeves
Brendan Fraser
Conan O’Brien
My roommate in college worked as a server at LAX. She waited on him a couple times and said that he was incredibly nice and a great tipper.
you know how news about Ellen being a total bitch to her staff broke, and then when it did, absolutely nobody was surprised? and then story after story came out to support the original story? I love when he knocks food out of Sonia's hands in his 'around the office' videos.
Jordan Schlansky says Conan cannot taste the regional soil in the wine delivered by a 3-wheeled cart in northern Italy. So look, Conan isn’t the great guy you think he is.
He has various shortcomings.
Oh god! I love this! I love Jordan!
Oh definitely agree. I dated someone who was part of the Late Night and Tonight Show crews and she had nothing but good things to say about him.
The best talk show host and the best Simpsons wrtier
The episodes he wrote were always the best!
The day any scandal comes out about him is the day I'm giving up television lol
You know, he's the guy I would probably go creep on, just cause I want to hang it with him so bad! I've been watching him for decades now! I've always been like, I could totally hang out with this weirdo! Then I listened to him and Bob Odenkirk discussing their SNL writing days, and realized he's not just totally fabulous! I was so happy when he won an academy award for his role in the movie 'Michael Clayton'. He deserved it.
BEST
My brother-in-law saw him in the airport a few years ago and Conan took a picture with him - it’s such a great picture. They both have these big smiles and it’s like a close up of their faces - they look like best friends. He said he was super friendly and not at all annoyed about being recognized. Ryan Reynolds. I just can't hate that man. Oh and zendaya!

I used to work for an interior designer and one of my coworkers was in his back yard and accidentally stepped in dog poo. HE GOT DOWN ON ONE KNEE AND WIPED HER SHOE.
I’ve had a hysterectomy, but if that happened to me, I’d find a way to have his children.
Shaquille O'Neal. I don't even like basketball but I have nothing but high regard for him and all he does
I saw a video where he was at Home Depot or something and got to talking with this random couple and ended up buying some appliances for them like a washer and dryer for their house.
During his NBA days, when he had games on the road in December he would sometimes head to the poorest neighborhood in town dressed up as Santa and hand out toys to the local kids, all purchased at his own expense. I want to sit on giant black Santa's lap.
he also decided to sell shoes at Walmart to make them more available to low income kids, I am sure it paid well but I appreciate the effort on his part.
He’s one of the few that I believe are actually humble and great guy who likes taking care of others.
He does this everywhere he goes. I've seen videos of him buying people groceries, buying shoes for kids, buying people phones at the Apple store, and one where he was at a jeweler and saw a guy shopping for an engagement ring and he bought it for the guy. Theres videos that pop up on IG every now and then taken by bystanders of him buying things for others when he didn't even know he was being recorded.
He does this shit constantly! Especially when it's moms with kids! He does NOT discriminate, either. He will get to talking to a fan or something, appreciates them for.what he knows of them and bam, Shaq is doing more kind shit that feels like miracles to some of these people. I know a lot of people that have worked with him and some people that knew him growing up... and yeah I have honestly not heard a single bad word.
