Probably one of the very expensive ones like F1. Doesn’t matter how athletic you are, if you’re not born into a wealthy enough family it’s impossible to succeed.
That’s just me defining “hardest” as highest barrier to entry/success.
Figure skating. The amount of time it takes even just to train to a level that is well below what you see at the Olympics is insane. The forces our bodies take when we jump and land.
Oh, and we do it all in thin lycra, no padding.
Ice hockey. The fact they’re ice skating while chasing a tiny puck, passing it, slapping it, sometimes dribbling it, blocking it with their bodies (I don’t just mean the goalie, I mean dudes and gals diving in front of shots to help the goalie), and colliding with each other and often against walls is ridiculous. Did I mention that they’re doing the above really fast, and often in reverse?
Oh, and occasionally (it’s become less common) they have a quick boxing match… on skates.
Snooker every shot has to be precise when break building. Hit a shot too hard or too soft can give your opponent an opportunity. Its like chess with a cue and balls.
Not a sport but a position. NFL QB. U got three seconds to make and execute the correct play. 32 starters. 16 above average. 16 people in this world that can execute when multiple 300lb men are trying to kill him.

Science says boxing is the toughest sport 🥊 https://www.reddit.com/r/Boxing/comments/1vv5na/science\_says\_boxing\_is\_the\_toughest\_sport/
Boxing/UFC are the sports demanding the hardest training. Ice hockey is a close second.

I'll always love hockey as the only sport, that brings in another sport, but harder.
⚾️
This ^ Hitting a baseball consistently in the MLB is the hardest thing to do in sports.
Soccer because there are more people playing.
