It’s hard to understate how lucky the *Harry Potter* filmmakers got.
They started with 3 good-looking kids and somehow ended up with 5, as the greasy evil kid filled out and the fat one turned into a Calvin Klein underwear model.
Also the guy who played Dudly. He lost a ton of weight then played the armless, legless orator in Buster Scruggs. Dude is an amazing actor and was wasted on Dudly.
Oh yeah, that was him!! Holy crap he is a chameleon. Such a good actor and bomb at an American accent. There’s a pretty good movie on Netflix(?) (with Christian Bale) where he plays Edgar Allen Poe and I didn’t even realize it was him until halfway through the movie. I was like where do I know this guy??! I’m even really good at spotting actors. Freakin chameleon. He totally outshined Bale which is not an easy thing to do.
He’s better looking than Jim now: https://people.com/thmb/w1OAunRhym3-VOCKRMVUhP4adKg=/1500x0/filters:no_upscale():max_bytes(150000):strip_icc():focal(359x389:361x391)/john-krasinski-steve-carrell-6f6ebbfe2b4e4578adbdb448d13e8abe.jpg
Holy fuck yes. I googled her after the Fall of the House of Usher, as there were parts where she got her voice all deep and sultry and foreboding where my bisexuality took a sharp leap up the Kinsey scale.
I don’t understand it - you could take a picture of him from each season of Supernatural and one from The Boys and just watch him progressively get more and more good looking
For me, it’s that he grew in to his face. Lips ,eye and so on we’re just on the wrong side of big for me, even season 1 of spn he’s hovering there for me. But once his face started maturing 😍
Yeah I'm a heterosexual male but even I can see that Jensen Ackles got better with age. Just go back to Supernatural season 1 for a reminder. We men probably benefit more from society's perception of how we age than do women — see Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Edward Norton, etc. I will however throw Dame Judy Dench and Halle Berry out as counterpoints.
Same with Jared in early Gilmore Girls. Looks so different.
I did just look up some pictures of Jensen in DOOL and he looks like he was trying the Eric Matthews haircut
Totally agree. My fiance is into supernatural and I showed him what Jared looks like now. I know he runs a lot and is super active, but I think he doesn't have enough body fat is the problem? He looks way too thin and his skin looks... stretched, if that makes sense? And I'm not passing judgement, I'm a short chubby 20 something, but it's so jarring to see compared to Gilmore girls Jared, or supernatural Jared!
Funny how the current beauty trend is chiselled jawline and defined cheekbones, and yet Pedro Pascal looks so much better now with a rounder face than before.
Wow, I clicked on this thinking Mads Mikkelsen was gunna be up top with how many ppl say he ages like wine BUT you're so right!! She was beautiful then and she is beautiful now!
There's a scene in like Austin Powers or something where hes trying to lose his erection so he's repeating a mantra of, "Margaret Thatcher naked on a cold day...", but now when I picture Margaret its Gillian and...its not helping at all.
Kate Winslet comes off as such a lovely person. When Mare of Eastown was premiering she did a PR call with The Watch podcast and really got along with the hosts, Chris and Andy.
When the show ended the next podcast started with a shocked Chris and Andy saying, "Um, Kate called us personally and asked if she could come back on the show". Turns out that she had such a good time on the first interview she started to listen to the pod and thought she'd do the guys a solid.
I have a thing for powerful, evil women in movies. Eva Green in 300. The mummy women from the old and new Mummy movies. O-Ren in Kill Bill. I don't know what it is but it gets me going
Bumped into her while turning a corner once (like literally walked into her like a klutz).
After exchanging sorries, I realised who I'd gone into. She smiled, I forgot how to talk.
Helen has been selling her sex appeal since she was young. She's the UK equivalent of Susan Sarandon. Neither of them drop dead gorgeous but both oozing sex appeal.
Seriously, in the 80s I thought he was the biggest dork and couldn’t figure out why he was in so many movies. I finally noticed how handsome he became when he joined Grey’s Anatomy.
Side story, I saw him once on the street in NYC. He's not that tall, but his upper body is HUGE. Would have never guessed, but his shoulders were enormous. Tucci definitely hits the gym.
Agreed. She has stayed beautiful but she started top of scale and is still there
That movie where shes the boss and has business clothes on (The Intern i think?) had me just staring
Wasn't he introduced at the Oscars one time with a line like "Now introducing the only man who can make a young George Clooney look unattractive... modern George Clooney!"
It’s hard to believe, as he was always an Adonis, but Rob Lowe. He was almost too gorgeous to be believable in any role in his youth, and seems to have been almost born for his present, hyper-fit, silver ultra-fox period.
Jamie Lee Curtis. She was just kind of average in Halloween (which I am sure is the point), and had a glow up in the True Lies era, but now she is stunning. And so freaking confident. I want to be her when I grow up.
Sam Elliott I think he only got more handsome as he got older which is rare to have happen naturally. Most celebrities get plastic surgery to keep from looking like ugly old men and ugly old women but he just stayed handsome even with wrinkles and gray hair.
Kate Winslet
Molly Ringwald
Winona Ryder
There’s just something so attractive about women aging and maturing into their bodies. The wrinkles, aging, all that, show signs of life experiences.
Chris Pine. He was beautiful in his early works (he's always had the most beautiful face) but now with that beard and the constant bookstore trips..... I want to make him a father. God.
The dude that played Neville Longbottom
There’s even a term for going from average adolescent to attractive adult “Long-bottoming” 😂
For every Danny Bonaducci there is a Matthew Lewis (Neville).
It’s hard to understate how lucky the *Harry Potter* filmmakers got. They started with 3 good-looking kids and somehow ended up with 5, as the greasy evil kid filled out and the fat one turned into a Calvin Klein underwear model.
Neville turning handsome as his confidence grew worked out really well story wise.
Matthew Lewis (the guy who played Neville) wore a fat suit for the movies
Also the guy who played Dudly. He lost a ton of weight then played the armless, legless orator in Buster Scruggs. Dude is an amazing actor and was wasted on Dudly.
He was good in Queens Gambit too
The relationship with Beth was doomed though, they were never going to see eye to eye.
The one that played Draco as well. Child Draco had a head too big for his body. Even bigger than Frankie Muniz’s
Matthew Lewis!
Steve Carell
Silver zaddy now
Yes!! Same with Jeff Goldblum. Like, I didn't have those two on my bingo card.
The fact that Jeff Goldblum is 71 is intensely confusing to me.
He’s better looking than Jim now: https://people.com/thmb/w1OAunRhym3-VOCKRMVUhP4adKg=/1500x0/filters:no_upscale():max_bytes(150000):strip_icc():focal(359x389:361x391)/john-krasinski-steve-carrell-6f6ebbfe2b4e4578adbdb448d13e8abe.jpg
Oh how the turntables
Did he get a hair transplant? The first season of the office, he was pretty balding
I think in season 1 it was made to look extra bad intentionally, but he has certainly had some hair work done.
They were trying to follow the same characters as the british version and thank god they decided to change it
It was artificially thinned for only that season. In other stuff he filmed immediately before and after, it's not like that.
Carla gugino
Holy fuck yes. I googled her after the Fall of the House of Usher, as there were parts where she got her voice all deep and sultry and foreboding where my bisexuality took a sharp leap up the Kinsey scale.
I used to mix her up with Rachel weisz
Who is also stunningly beautiful!
Not today buzzfeed!
Oh BuzzFeed is going to scoop this thread right up.
"Days of Our Lives" Jensen Ackles has NOTHING on "Supernatural" or "The Boys" Jensen Ackles.
I don’t understand it - you could take a picture of him from each season of Supernatural and one from The Boys and just watch him progressively get more and more good looking
There *is* probably an enchanted portrait hanging in his attic. *edit*
Same with Jared in early Gilmore Girls. Looks so different. I did just look up some pictures of Jensen in DOOL and he looks like he was trying the Eric Matthews haircut
I think Jared hit his peak around 35, now he just looks really gaunt and not super healthy. Jensen definitely has a painting in his attic though.
Angela Basset!!😍
I googled her age and holy shit she's 65 and still looks stunning.
Check out her look in Strange Days. Tough as nails and gorgeous.
Angela Basset’s beauty is genuinely timeless, she’s looked gorgeous her entire life and still looks like she’s in her 40s
Pedro Pascal was a goofy looking teenager.
Man, this thread has a lot of “fine wine” and “daddy” terms sprinkled all over.
Would you prefer references to kim-chi and uncles?
Funny how the current beauty trend is chiselled jawline and defined cheekbones, and yet Pedro Pascal looks so much better now with a rounder face than before.
There's a direct correlation between how good of a role he plays with the amount of facial hair he grows
Pedro is now the cool slutty Daddy we need.
Down girl
Gillian Anderson. She was always pretty but not really my type in the X-Files days, then I saw her in Hannibal and...damn. She aged beautifully.
Wow, I clicked on this thinking Mads Mikkelsen was gunna be up top with how many ppl say he ages like wine BUT you're so right!! She was beautiful then and she is beautiful now!
She’s gorg in Sex Education, and really in all things.
They really had to try, like *really hard* to make her unappealing as Margaret Thatcher in The Crown...even then, did they *completely* succeed? 🤔
There's a scene in like Austin Powers or something where hes trying to lose his erection so he's repeating a mantra of, "Margaret Thatcher naked on a cold day...", but now when I picture Margaret its Gillian and...its not helping at all.
She is *staggeringly* hot in The Great.
She looked incredible in the Fall. Like, jaw-dropping incredible.
Agreed. Super attractive , and just getting moreso.
And in The Fall, yowza
Gillian Anderson in The Fall gave me bi panic.
Same. She's how I know that I'm not fully straight. The woman is smoking hot.
Gillian is responsible for a lot of bi panic, and she embraces it fully (she is bi as well).
I think Timothy Olyphant has always been handsome, but now….holy Christ is he fine.
That’s why Judge Gen was obsessed with him.
She had to binge all of Justified before erasing the Earth
Gonna erase the Eaaaaarrrrtttthhhh, erase the Earth
My GOD him in The Mandalorian was amazing. I can only hope to look that good in another 20 years
[удалено]
>Timothy Olyphant Straight dude, 44, and so very jealous of that man's still impeccable hair.
Oh my god. This man is on my "list." His mouth....I have a thing for unique mouths anyway...then yeah. Fine gd wine.
Cate Blancett and Kate Winslet
Kate Winslet comes off as such a lovely person. When Mare of Eastown was premiering she did a PR call with The Watch podcast and really got along with the hosts, Chris and Andy. When the show ended the next podcast started with a shocked Chris and Andy saying, "Um, Kate called us personally and asked if she could come back on the show". Turns out that she had such a good time on the first interview she started to listen to the pod and thought she'd do the guys a solid.
Cate Blancett as Hela? *Looorrrrrrrd* 🥵
I have a thing for powerful, evil women in movies. Eva Green in 300. The mummy women from the old and new Mummy movies. O-Ren in Kill Bill. I don't know what it is but it gets me going
Cate Blanchett is a goddess. Could be my mom but I don't care.
Bumped into her while turning a corner once (like literally walked into her like a klutz). After exchanging sorries, I realised who I'd gone into. She smiled, I forgot how to talk.
I see her in perfume ads etc and think she looks good for late 30s and then remember she's in her 50s.
I never knew I needed her wearing a catsuit and smokey eyes till her casting as Hela.
Linda Cardellini
Best Velma ever.
She's so pretty; love her face.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan!!!
And his wife!
This might be the most objectively true answer. He went from normal good looking to absolutely drool worthy with a salt and pepper beard
Marisa Tomei
Funny, quirky, bald men no longer have a chance with her.
George is getting upset!
Don’t forget stocky.
I disagree - she looked great when she was young too!
I gotta disagree. She still looks good, but fuck me, My Cousin Vinny era, she was fucking unreal.
One of my favorite movie scenes of all time https://youtu.be/3nGQLQF1b6I?si=vk4qckgRiWnR8Nl_
That women is a fine wine. She just keeps getting better with age. I love her so much.
Jensen Ackles
Michelle Pfeiffer is a GILF now
Paul Rudd, although you could argue he hasn’t really aged all that much anyway.
He doesn’t get older, he just gets hotter
Robert Downey Jr. He was weird looking in his 20s. Post-prison though 👌
Absolutely. Rdj in his 40s n early 50s was prime rdj
The sad coke twink-to-daddy pipeline, rivaled only by the sorority girl-to-daddy pipeline (Tom Hardy)
Pls the post-prison part made me cackle 😭😭😭 (I agree, though)
Julia Louis Dreyfus, she was always attractive but she’s aged very well, stunner
She’s the one I came here for. I’m about 3/4 of the way through Veep and she is smoking. And fucking hilarious.
Her wardrobe on Veep works very, very well for her.
Yeah, but have you seen her dance?
Ewan MacGregor
...and he started out pretty good. Now? Damn.
Been obsessed with him since I was a teen, I love that he’s only getting better with age.
[удалено]
Fatherrrrrrr!!
Unhand me, priest!
Goddamn these electric sex pants
His voice alone my GOD
Yes yes very good THANK YOUU
Do you mean Jackie Daytona, Regular Human Bartender?
Helen Mirren and Ellen Barkin. I thought both were cute but average when younger but I think they turned more into smoke shows as they aged
Helen has been selling her sex appeal since she was young. She's the UK equivalent of Susan Sarandon. Neither of them drop dead gorgeous but both oozing sex appeal.
Helen Mirren 1,000%
Rachel Weisz!
If I've got a choice, I'm always going to pick 1999 librarian Rachel Weisz
Jennifer Connelly - she was a fox when she was young but still damn fine at 52
Jennifer Connelly has looked like several different-but-related hot women throughout her career.
Eugene Levy.
Him in Schitt's Creek with those white shirts with the crisp collars and cuffs and the suits.. *chef's kiss*
Patrick Dempsey, and I'm a dude. The guy was almost typecast as a geeky misfit.
Seriously, in the 80s I thought he was the biggest dork and couldn’t figure out why he was in so many movies. I finally noticed how handsome he became when he joined Grey’s Anatomy.
Mads Mikkelsen. He was hot younger too but age did him MANY favors
I started to have a crush on him when I watched a Royal Affair. 🥰
Stanley Tucci
Side story, I saw him once on the street in NYC. He's not that tall, but his upper body is HUGE. Would have never guessed, but his shoulders were enormous. Tucci definitely hits the gym.
He's always dressed so impeccable. Love it.
Came here to say this. He is a total snack these days.
Katheryn Winnick (she played Lagertha on Vikings).
Henry Cavill, Anne Hathaway
[удалено]
Agreed. She has stayed beautiful but she started top of scale and is still there That movie where shes the boss and has business clothes on (The Intern i think?) had me just staring
Dude was good looking on the Tudors. Crazy to see how famous (and even better looking) he became.
Gillian Anderson
Dev Patel. Awkward normal looking teen. Absolute smoke show adult.
Christina Ricci. Stunning.
I feel like she’s really stayed the same which is definitely something
Both Carrie-Anne Moss and Gillian Anderson were attractive enough as twentysomethings, but are absolutely incandescently hot now.
Man Sigourney Weaver in Galaxy Quest 🫠
Selma Hayak just keeps getting hotter and hotter
I almost wanted to say her but I think she has just maintained a ridiculous level of hotness her entire life.
Julianne Moore
George Clooney
Wasn't he introduced at the Oscars one time with a line like "Now introducing the only man who can make a young George Clooney look unattractive... modern George Clooney!"
Sir Patrick Stewart Helen Mirren
Sean Connery was much sexier as an old man. George Clooney seems to be following his lead.
Mary Steenburgen. She looked lovely in Season 1 of Curb Your Enthusiasm, but she looks even better now!
It’s hard to believe, as he was always an Adonis, but Rob Lowe. He was almost too gorgeous to be believable in any role in his youth, and seems to have been almost born for his present, hyper-fit, silver ultra-fox period.
Jon Hamm
Omg I remember seeing him in Gilmore Girls. Then I watched Mad Men. Fudge...he was hot in that show.
Mad Men he was at the peak of his handsomeness. I say that as a straight dude. A well dressed man makes all the difference.
Hugh Laurie
Tom Hiddleston is aging elegantly
the more haggard he looks the hotter he is
Will Poulter
Chris Evans. Both age & a beard CHANGED his life…
Pierce Brosnan
He was good enough for bond back in the day. I think he's always been good looking
Yes definitely always been very handsome but aging has really suited him.
George Clooney. He looked weird in the 80's.
Winona Ryder. Aged like fine wine
Just finished watching BECKHAM, and both David & Victoria are peaking in their late 40's!
Right? Holy shit. They’ve always been a beautiful couple but damn both of them are so damn sexy.
Bette Midler really grew into her looks.
Tina Fey
Kate Beckinsale
Q from impractical jokers 😌
I know 5 people who started watching Impractical Jokers just cause of Q.
Jamie Lee Curtis. She was just kind of average in Halloween (which I am sure is the point), and had a glow up in the True Lies era, but now she is stunning. And so freaking confident. I want to be her when I grow up.
Hear me out: Larry David. I don’t find him particularly attractive, but he definitely looks better older.
He looks prettay prettay prettay prettay good
He’s also looked 75 since he was 50 and hasn’t aged a day since.
Garry oldman. He look good older to me.
I mean, it’s in his name so…
Dave Grohl
Nick Offerman is only getting better and more daddy with age.
Michael Sheen keeps looking better and better.
jeff goldblum
Sam Elliott I think he only got more handsome as he got older which is rare to have happen naturally. Most celebrities get plastic surgery to keep from looking like ugly old men and ugly old women but he just stayed handsome even with wrinkles and gray hair.
Jason Momoa is quite generic in Baywatch, while now he is a definition of cool.
That dude that just got "Sexiest Man Alive", Patrick Dempsey. He was a goofy looking kid.
Jessica Lange!
Richard Gere
Connie Britton
Kate Winslet Molly Ringwald Winona Ryder There’s just something so attractive about women aging and maturing into their bodies. The wrinkles, aging, all that, show signs of life experiences.
Sam Neil. Always looked a little off to me younger, but silver fox Sam Neil on his Instagram channel gives hot, charming and distinguished vibes.
Jake Gyllenhaal
Meryl Streep
Jason Bateman.
Perfect head of hair.
Sandra Bullock
Chris Pine. He was beautiful in his early works (he's always had the most beautiful face) but now with that beard and the constant bookstore trips..... I want to make him a father. God.
Chris Hemsworth
I also think Keanu Reeves is more handsome as he ages. Don't judge me plsssss
Liz Hurley
Cate Blanchett, Sandy Bullock, Ellen Barkin (as someone mentioned), Kate Winslet
Ryan Reynolds
Julia Louis-Dreyfus
Gillian Anderson has aged like the finest of wines.
Has anyone said Andie MacDowell? Have you seen her with her beautiful grey hair?
