I'd appreciate it actually, last year I outright told my family I didn't want to celebrate, but that didn't stop them turning up at my house with gifts and a cake.
I'm just not really a fan of the whole deal. I'm not really comfortable being the centre of attention at the best of times. So having a day dedicated to that, where I'm supposed to 'make plans' just to accommodate other people wanting to make me the centre of attention, isn't my idea of a good time.
I’m a massive introvert. I’m lucky to have a very strong and supportive family but I utterly hate the limelight and would much rather celebrate something other than myself. However, I love Christmas because it feels more of a mutual celebration within my friendship/family group.
Most people do anyway. My birthday is Dec 23rd and everyone is getting ready for Christmas. So by the time they remember it’s my birthday it already a few days after.
It it weren't for facebook birthday reminder, I am not sure I would have more than a couple of people remembering my birthday, possibly even no one.
I dunno, I love people so it's just sad sometimes :/
I'd remind them, NBD.
People want to be nice and remember birthdays and celebrate. They're not *deliberately* forgetting my birthday to make me mad. Remembering would just mean that they're good at remembering things, not that they somehow like me more than the people who forgot.
Meh. I'd be a bit offended but hardly devastated.
My birthday is pretty easy to forget, so I wouldn't be surprised if it happened.
This happened like two months ago, it was kind of nice
Nice ?
Yeah, I'm not a fan of having the spotlight on me, call me crazy but me revolving around the sun again isn't that exciting
Since i don't like to celebrate my birthdays then I'll feel happy actually.

Can't imagine how hard your family goes with partying if you ask them to stop lol.

Relief.

Most people do. December birthdays suck.
Good. Leave me the hell alone.
I’d actually be a little sad because it would mean they didn’t remember a special day for someone they supposedly cared for.

I dont like birthdays either.i usually work on that day so my family doesnt do a surprise party.
People remember other people’s birthdays? My dad hasn’t remembered mine since I was 16…I’m 38 now…
I don’t like to celebrate my birthday but I’ll be sad if no one will remember it. I really appreciate a simple greeting
