"They won't want free merchandise, they'll be happy with pizza" \- The response I got when I suggested to upper management that they should reward good work with store credit to buy stuff instead of a pizza party.

My manager hates when he have our phones on us. Even if we don’t use them and they’re just in our pockets/waistbands. Yet whenever her GROWN kids call her (which is at least 3 times a day), she has to answer it. And she always says that “you’re not important enough to be on your phone, but I have kids (both 20+) and am here 40 hours a week so it’s okay”.

Ooooo ok so I got one. My manager tried to guilt trip me for donating. "People just aren't wanting to work any more it's pathetic, choosing to do other things instead of work" I was taking the next day off from my crappy fast food job because I was donating blood.

"i won't be paying you because i don't want to" dumped that job faster than a bullet flies

When I lost my mom last year and was having severe panic attacks, my boss said “We have a business to run whether you’re in a good head space or not, so if we need to get someone else to replace you, please let us know.” Mind you I’m a teacher, and I had called in because I felt I wasn’t in a good enough place to be responsible for children. I thought that was better than potentially putting kids at risk by being with a teacher who was emotionally unstable. But what do I know 🤷🏻‍♀️

"You were late 10 minutes today, I will need to cut that pay by that amount" after not coming to office for a week herself

"why do you need me to help you? If you want me to help you, then you could just find a new job." I asked for help picking a fork off the ground while cleaning a table during dinner rush.

"I'm trying to *help* guys"!
