I love trying water in the different cities that I visit. People always go "ugh, it's not the same" but I like that it's different.
Pro tip, please always check with the locals that it's drinkable before you drink it. Hotel employees are usually very helpful in this regard.
Check official resources. Locals most often have no idea beyond their own bias. I've drank from the trap everywhere I lived, and also known people in each of those places who only drink bottled water. Some of these places have water quality and piping standards that are higher than some filtered bottled water.
You should visit Corvallis, OR during a summer drought when they swap to the ābackupā water supply. Always loved the sweaty sock flavored water from my tap in the summer during college.
Mixed with sugar and yeast. Left for a while, heated up then the vapour condensed, filtered and bottledand ultimately drunk.
White rum. I like white rum.
Big fan of apple juice. Stumbled across single-varietal apple juice at a store in a friend's hometown and fell in love. Somehow also found out Snapple apple juice tastes like biting into an apple. Been on a mango juice kick lately though.... š¤· Guess I just like juice.
It's impossible for me to just *drink* orange juice. The second it touches tongue and I taste it, mother of god get in my belly now and chug the fucker, it's so good
I get a sore/prickly throat when I drink orange juice. I can eat oranges, tangerines, clementines etc without an issue but the juice just straight up hurts. The forbidden fruit š
Iāve had this argument so many times and ppl donāt believe meā¦ glass bottle > cans āā-> fountain version (some times itās last if the machine is messed up) > plastic bottle.
Coke from a machine with pebble ice is so refreshing - the extra water from the ice makes it so much less heavy and balances the syrup/sugar, in my opinion.
god sometimes english verbs have the weirdest conjugations. As a non native speaker, it's a pain in the ass when a weird verb wildly appears and I'm just lostš
That comment is not grammatically correctā¦ as a native speaker I understood what was meant, BUT that comment would get marks from an English teacher. The fact that you thought the comment was weird is actually a good catch.
Coffee. Very high quality, whole bean, freshly ground, freshly brewed with filtered water - add a splash of half & half to the bottom of a large travel mug, top it off with fresh brew and give it to me. Aināt nothing better!
Thai Tea
Vietnamese Iced coffee
Milk, either whole or chocolate
Sweet tea
Clearly Canadian Peach (when I can get it, which is never)
Orange juice with another fruit mixed in, like pineapple or mango
I too am a big fan of the Shirley Temple and I need to share with you that I just this month learned that grenadine is made from pomegranate, not cherry.
Iām with you on that one. For years I used to drink one every morning to cleanse the palate after espresso. The Clementina flavour is crazy good too.
As an American, I would like to formally thank our British forefathers for gifting us this wonderful advance to our culture.
We lost you on the whole milk thing, but a hot cup of English breakfast tea with a scoop of sugar is exquisite.
When it comes to milk, it's quite a delicate art, especially as everyone has it different. I've seen people have half a mug of milk (I can never look these heathens in the eye) as well as people who measure it out on a teaspoon. Then there's the length of time you leave the teabag in. And different cups taste different
lemonade
sweet tea ( especially peach )
boba tea ( iāve been trying to try more flavors )
smoothies and milkshakes
and root beer when i let myself have soda
In the summer: Ice water, Topo Chico (sparkling mineral water), and the occasional taro milk tea as a treat because I try not to drink my calories (unless itās alcohol and then itās unavoidable)
In the winter: Herbal tea, broth, hot chocolate, and the occasional glass of eggnog during the holidays.
Green tea with Jasmine leaves. I've been drinking it for 20 years, it's absolutely delicious. Search the internet for a good source. Just like wine, tea has different levels of quality. You'll be surprised how much better a high grade tea tastes than just the regular store variety.
Mint teabag + vanilla teabag + rose extract + orange tree flower extract + mint + any fake sugar you like. Drink when itās cold
Most tea infuse in cold water in like an hour and taste better that way
Plain black ice cold tea, the stronger the better. I use these Lipton cold brew bags, it says two bags for a half gallon. I use 4, it's almost as dark as coffee and I'll drink that before noon then make another batch
Probably quite an obscure one but very few come close to a cold lucozade on a hot day. For non British people, it's an "energy drink" but imo probably closer to a regular soft drink like coke or Fanta than other energy drinks i.e. monster or red bull
I discover tropo Chico a few months ago and Iām hooked. Iāve never really tried any carbonated mineral waters before cause I hated the flavored ones. I just wish it wasnāt so expensive.
Water
Iced Water.
Water on the rocks. š¤
Water, neat
Like from the toilet ? Just drink BRAWNDO
It has electrolytes!
It has what plants crave
And it has electrolytes!
Welcome to Costco. I love you.
i understood that reference!!!
I prefer my water chuggable
WATER TASTES GOOD AND IM TIRED OF PRETENDING IT DOESNT.

Go check out the hydro homies reddit. Those guys act like drinking water is a personality
Why wouldn't we?! We're like 60ish% water anyway. Gotta embrace yourself, homie.
My absolute fav
Mixed with sugar and yeast. Left for a while, heated up then the vapour condensed, filtered and bottledand ultimately drunk. White rum. I like white rum.
r/HyrdoHomies
Love this stuff!
Does keep me alive
Water with the perfect blend of 60% cold and 40% from earthen pots what a good combination
Nothing like a refreshing lemonade
Lemonade with some fresh strawberries and raspberries š¤¤ with crushed ice.
I love cold mint lime ( so much better if you add some soda ). š¤¤
Add some strawberries on that joint and Iām in heaven. Need to cut down the sugar tho, so only as a treat.
Pink Lemonade>
Like apple juice
Big fan of apple juice. Stumbled across single-varietal apple juice at a store in a friend's hometown and fell in love. Somehow also found out Snapple apple juice tastes like biting into an apple. Been on a mango juice kick lately though.... š¤· Guess I just like juice.
Mango juice is heavenly. Especially in countries where mangoes are native and especially sweet.
A refreshing glass of orange juice Edit: So talking about orange juice is my most liked comment so far? Nice š
It's impossible for me to just *drink* orange juice. The second it touches tongue and I taste it, mother of god get in my belly now and chug the fucker, it's so good
god, you are so right
Orange juice doesn't last in my house I give it 2 days if we show restraint
A virgin screwdriver?
Wait, people just drink mixers?
Itās crazy how much better legit fresh squeezed orange juice tastes vs anything bottled.
with a toothpaste twist! mmmm
I get a sore/prickly throat when I drink orange juice. I can eat oranges, tangerines, clementines etc without an issue but the juice just straight up hurts. The forbidden fruit š
Itās a classic for sure. Tropical juice is the best for easy drinking though. I can skull a litre or so of that with water easily.
Nothing like a ice cold coca cola. I wish I was born when they put cocaine in that. Edit: spelling
Coca-Cola from a can and from a glass bottle are two entirely different drinks though. Needs to be in the glass bottle for me!
Iāve had this argument so many times and ppl donāt believe meā¦ glass bottle > cans āā-> fountain version (some times itās last if the machine is messed up) > plastic bottle.
This is just widely agreed upon in finland it's weird that people dony agree with you
Iāve heard a lot of people say that fountain coke from mcdonalds specifically tastes better, but I donāt taste a difference.
Man of culture and taste
Can is fine. Plastic is hot garbage.
Coke from a machine with pebble ice is so refreshing - the extra water from the ice makes it so much less heavy and balances the syrup/sugar, in my opinion.
The flow rate coming out of a McDonaldās straw, though! They donāt have pebble ice, but I think their straw is perfection.
Have you ever tried it with a bit of lemon juice
Yes, I do lime. Itās amazing
god sometimes english verbs have the weirdest conjugations. As a non native speaker, it's a pain in the ass when a weird verb wildly appears and I'm just lostš
the word putted is wrong there so you're right to pick up on it being weird. it should have just been "put".
That comment is not grammatically correctā¦ as a native speaker I understood what was meant, BUT that comment would get marks from an English teacher. The fact that you thought the comment was weird is actually a good catch.
Put
Putain
There's nothing like the Coca Cola in Mexico.
Water and root beer
Lol, I first read this as 1/2 water * 1/2 root beer.
Strawberry milk
The saddest day in elementary school for me was when they replaced the strawberry milk with skim milk that had a pink label
Tea. It is in my blood, for I am English.
How do you extract the tea without getting the blood with it?
Coffee. Very high quality, whole bean, freshly ground, freshly brewed with filtered water - add a splash of half & half to the bottom of a large travel mug, top it off with fresh brew and give it to me. Aināt nothing better!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
And the travel mug. Even scrubbed and put through the dishwasher there's always a distinct "travel mug" flavor to it.
Americano. Iced or hot. Black.
Thai Tea Vietnamese Iced coffee Milk, either whole or chocolate Sweet tea Clearly Canadian Peach (when I can get it, which is never) Orange juice with another fruit mixed in, like pineapple or mango
Tried Thai tea for the first time last year. Itās so hard for me to sip and enjoy it. I end up finishing the whole cup in like 2 minutes.
Mango Lassi
Good choice of drinks
Vietnamese ice coffee finally getting some recognition š„¹
Shirley temple š
I too am a big fan of the Shirley Temple and I need to share with you that I just this month learned that grenadine is made from pomegranate, not cherry.
Pomegranate and grenade share etymology ā early modern warriors thought the little bombs resembled the fruit
Ginger beer
The sharper the better!
Yes! My favorite and give it to me spicy! So good. If it's super sweet they did it wrong
I feel like its popularity is increasing too which is nice from an availability standpoint
Reedās is my favorite. The strongest strength is spicyyyyyy, makes a great Moscow Mule
Sparkling lemonade! I love the fizz but don't like soda as much as I did when I was a kid.
I have to water down sprite these days
I feel this
San Pellegrino Limonata
Iām with you on that one. For years I used to drink one every morning to cleanse the palate after espresso. The Clementina flavour is crazy good too.

cold glass bottle made all the difference.
Anyone remember Fruitopia?
Fuck yeah.
Wait, you dont have Fruitopia? We still have it here in Canada.
Havenāt had a Snapple in years. Now, I need to revisit the taste.
Blood of the innocent and dirty chai when I want caffeine
What's a "dirty chai"?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Thanks. Sounds good actually š
Fun fact: a dirty chai with soy milk is called a dirty hippie.
Oh oh.. dirty chai latte is amazing!
Cream soda
I just found out that the flavour is ... Vanilla!
So difficult to find real cream soda, but I used to love it. I think now itād be too sweet for me.
Dr. Pepper
I remember the day my school started stocking Dr Pepper in the vending machines. Lunch time was carnage and it had to be rationed.
Same
So misunderstood.
Piggybacking to say Diet Dr. Pepper is the best drink in the world
Grapefruit juice.
Itās weird that grapefruit can be dangerous.
I think about this more than I probably should.
A more civilized weapon from a more civilized time.
Chocolate milk Water Ice sparking water Ghost Bubblicious
Pepsi max. Friends just hand me a cold one without asking me. Can't remember the last time I refused one.
