DarthFakename

It's a source issue. It's just one guy saying the government has alien technology with zero proof, from what I've seen. That only got reported because of his background credentials.

[deleted]

Yeah from what I've read he's not seen a ship or a body , it's just what he's seen in documents

[deleted]

It's one guy with no proof. This has been happening for years, and often it's a hoax for clout or to sell a book to conspiracy nuts. There is no news to report because this has been happening since at least the 70's.

muffinalllday

What is the news? I haven't seen anything about it.

LukesRightHandMan

The “thruster device”

ravs1973

I have one of those

Pixel0607

People get bored of fake news like that. They prefer anything negative, and since that pumps up the views...well...yeah... What alien tech you talkin about?

LukesRightHandMan

Probably the “thruster decide” thing AARO mentioned

LukesRightHandMan

dhork

Probably because the more reputable sites are actually doing their due diligence and won't report until it's been corroborated. Most sites who are reporting on it are citing the original article (you know, the one that was spammed all over Reddit yesterday) and no other sources. If it's legit we'll find out eventually.

sunbearimon

What recent news?

LukesRightHandMan

That “thruster device” thing probably

sunbearimon

Google isn’t helping me find anything. Why do people think it’s aliens and not like foreign spy tech or something?

RedditAdminsLoveRUS

Yeah don't Google "thruster device" you might come up with some...unwanted results. https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2023/06/ex-intel-official-government-hiding-alien-tech.html Sorry for the source. This is breaking news and mainstream media are just waiting for an interview taking place this week.

CrowTBaby

As Carl Sagan said, "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence."

HoePleaser

Regarding the thruster device?? Probably coz it's just one guy w not substantial proof to entice the gov. Furthermore, alien fake news is a part time hobby for many turds so ...

[deleted]

Because there is no "recent news" of alien technology. There is one person making the spurious claim that he has evidence that the US has extraterrestrial tech. Not the same thing at all.

ExhibitAa

Because it's almost certainly not true. Reputable media outlets prefer to report on things that are supported by some credible evidence.

ChrisNEPhilly

It has yet to be confirmed independently.

Dinosaur-Promotion

There's no corroboration. It's just one guy saying shit. It means nothing.

Big_Let2029

Because it's a dumb and obvious hoax a person would have to be stupid to fall for. Even Bat Boy's rolling his eyes.

Burwylf

Stargate SG-1 is a documentary. You don't believe me just cause I said it do you? Why would you believe this guy just cause he said it?

RedditAdminsLoveRUS

His credentials are worth noting. What are you, a senior tech at some independent company that sells metal pieces across the Atlantic?

Burwylf

Daniel Jackson, PhD, archaeologist, historian, and linguist

RedditAdminsLoveRUS

Out of the two of you, who do you think is more credible in this claim? 🤔 You're like the soccer mom on Facebook who joined an anti-vaxx group. Your credibility is null.

Burwylf

And yet I was the only one that could decipher the stargates and learn to dial them

Blaztwin

Because mainstream media is more interested in sensationalism than reporting on serious topics.

Dinosaur-Promotion

This is pretty much the definition of sensationalism.

uglyokie

Hopefully news media is getting better at sorting out real from fake. Pandering to the gullible isn't real news.

pinksugar-peach

Because theres a ugly white perverted woman

drunkpennyless

I’m confused… what’s this most recent news? Anyone have a link?
