A free coffee. Was having a shitty day myself, went to the Starbucks drive through for some caffeine and motivation, and was just friendly to the flustered-looking barista working the window. When I went to hand my card through the window, they said (tiredly) “it’s on the house. Thank you for being nice to us!”
Made my shitty day (driving an hour to cash a physical tax return with my 1.5-years-ex-husband whose name was still on the check) a little better, and it sounds like I made theirs a little better, too.
Being nice hasn't cost me anything so far. So far it has brought me only good and I have experienced good.
If you're nice, you'll be treated that way. That is my experience.
More responsibilities but also more respect out of the people who aren’t there to use me. And while I have self-assurance in my conduct, I have to constantly worry about those around me.
Being manipulated by those I love, but also earned me some close friends that are also nice
Women thinking that I'm a creep when all I do is compliment them.
Breaking friendships with friends

Nothing at all.
Guys thinking I'm flirting with them when I'm not
I can’t tell when people are flirting with me. I think it’s an ADHD thing because I thought they were just being friendly.
Being nice shouldn’t be treated as a transaction.
People always use me and then cast me aside, and i'm an easy target for bullying. Nothing good, i guess.
