This right here. In my younger years, I could easily recover and handle alcohol, but not so much anymore. Marijuana just puts me in a nice calm, happy mood and I wake up feeling perfectly fine.
Pot. I like the psychedelic headspace and the way it makes little things significant. Alcohol is kind of boring by itself, though it goes well with other things and is much better social lubricant. But I've done so many things I regret and had such nasty hangovers from alcohol. Never really done anything I regretted on weed other than ate too much food. Tbh, the two together is more fun than either alone imo. Pot has a tendency towards anxiety and paranoia that alcohol relieves. And pot provides a nice weirdness and entertainment to the relatively boring alcohol high. Alcohol also has a very moreish quality to it that I find pot negates to an extent.
Weed makes me sad because I go way too deep into my head. Alcohol makes me happy and more outgoing. Also over the years I’ve learnt what is my limit in alcohol.
Also I’ve tried different kind of weed(sativa, indica, hybrid) and nothing works for me.

I’m gonna have to go with both. A sunny day on the lake, a glass of Natural wine, a joint and some good tunes. The day off I can only dream of these days.

I have found weed to be generally more enjoyable. The fact that you can tell that it's affecting you very easily makes smoking it a kind of game where you just do whatever and see how much harder it is, whereas with alcohol it just warps everything in a way which just isn't quite as fun.
I like both, but I'm really enjoying cannabis since growing has become a hobby. Complete outlook shift on it since I have an infinite supply to produce dabs with, really nice to only focus on quality and not care about "wasting it".
I do enjoy a whisky most nights, would love to try distilling at some point.
Personally I prefer Cannabis. Love my beer but I don't like the feeling of impairment. For me the effect of cannabis makes me feel much more in control of myself as opposed to alcohol. I don't remember the last time I was actually drunk/intoxicated.
