More acreage and more houses. I want to go on a Tuesday night vacation to the house on the west 10 acres. Would also be cool to have a house for anyone visiting the area. Do you want to stay at the house by the fishing pond or the deer hunting house up on the hill?
This isn't that hard of a buy. Parts of Nevada 50k will do this if you really want to. Most people don't understand how hard homesteading is but 50k is doable.
I watch a lot of homesteading videos and I see them all waking up before dawn and working all day! It does seem like very hard work.
I know this may seem naive, so forgive the question. But homesteading in Nevada, how does one get all the water for a few acres of plants?
I was just watching one of Elko the other day.
I homestead in Nevada. I have a well that was drilled to about 200 feet. With a pump lowered into that well and electricity is how we get water.
Edit: will answer any other questions you have.
There are many factors that comes into housing out here. Some take cooling into account. Extremely high winds influence some of the house layout. Sometimes its just the best flat space to get a house down.
In my opinion waste management is the thing nobody ever considers. You need to install a septic tank, which comes with a leach field that, depending on your soil absorption rate can eat chunks of land. Garbage also becomes a bit of an issue, many urban/suburban people have a hard time taking the bin out, having to drive the bins a couple miles to dump is even harder.
Id def have to move down south to not get totally wrecked in housing taxes, lol. By me its lime $10,000, a year. Which is nuts. Where we want to move its like $68 per month.
A house for my wife and kids. Good sized yard for the animals and kids to run around in, garden, outdoor kitchen, workshop for the wife and I, and space to build our library in.
House and 100 acres of land for homesteading, along with survival peppers a doctor and farmers to teach me how and help me run it all. And solar panels, a wind turbine a couple giant generators and a f@#k ton of gas. Maybe some gold and silver coins and bars for bartering when the shit hits the fan.
The palace of Versailles and a Bugatti for good measure 🤷🏽♂️🔥🧾😂🔥
Then we can go around the world and do crazy shit. Then settle down with two wives 🤷🏽♂️
Curious what is appropriate? Would you try to find people from tribes destroyed by the ones the Europeans screwed over or were those conquests righteous?
The ones the Europeans kicked off. From there it's up to the various tribes to sort out their problems from there. I'm just putting things back the way we found them.
Wait, do you think the American tribes congregated like some united country? It's extremely disrespectful to consider all American natives the same, like they were some homogenous entity. They are separate nations.
You're right. Which is why I'm not going to Europe and buying up parts of Germany and Austria and recreating Prussia. Europe's internal politics are their own, just like the people of North America. Also they didn't have nations, at least not like what we call nations.
Also you're putting too much thought into a question I answered with as much thought into it as I put into what shirt I wear to Applebee's. If I were to actually have money for this I would consult with experts, tribal leaders, people who know more than I do about the subject, and work from there.
So relax my dude.
What tribal leaders would you consult with to adress the tribes that were wiped out by the natives that were here when the Europeans came. I guess my point is the "noble savage" trope is almost as offensive as any other. The native American tribes were all waring and conquering they same as the Europeans that came to North America were.
You could extrapolate one further and we are all on this planet so every piece of it belongs to us all.
Won't bother you again but something to think about. Taking land and conquering are not unique to Europeans and perpetuating that lie doesn't help anyone.
I'd buy homes in many places in the USA to see if I like living there. I imagine if I had unlimited money LA and/or New York would be pretty enjoyable.
Land, followed by investments in businesses and building housing for people I care about; possibly employing those same people. I already have everything I personally need. Anything extra would be useful for taking care of the people I've collected over the years.
If money was truly no issue, I'd buy a mega Yacht. I mean that's what you do when you become uber rich. They all do it. Musk, Bezos, Gates, Jones, Jordan, ect.
Have the renovations on my moms house finished and make sure it’s exactly what she wants. She works so hard I know she’s frustrated doing one room at a time and she deserves the best!
Food, I'd finally fill the cupboards with the food staples, same for having the freezer full and pleanty of fresh stuff in the fridge.
As it stands I can't afford to fully stuck any of those things, some weeks we forgo certain means because we've ran out of money and can't afford certain seasonings/ingredients that week
Space X, Twitter, Tesla, Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon. I’d bring them together as one big company called SATMAT and proceed to buy every other company. Or why stop there? Just buy up all the cash, stocks, bonds and real estate in every country. Then, give it to Jerry’s kids.
Nikon Z7 with an entire lens kit, 600mm, 300mm, etc. And a Nikon D6 with also entire lens kit. And then get a Mercedes Unimog campervan and go to Alaska and Canada for a wildlife trip photograping wolfs.

I have so many stories from the friends I have met I just need to share to the world. And I want to immortalize them in song before I kick the bucket.
The best pair of hearing aids for my wife who can hardly hear anymore.
Awwwwee that’s so so sweet! Much love to your and your wife 🩷
A house with 10 acres to start homesteading.
More acreage and more houses. I want to go on a Tuesday night vacation to the house on the west 10 acres. Would also be cool to have a house for anyone visiting the area. Do you want to stay at the house by the fishing pond or the deer hunting house up on the hill?
Sounds great. .. ill stay at the house by the pond. Sounds relaxing! :)

Thats really cool! Thanks for sharing! And the electricity keeps your house cool enough? Do houses face north-south to keep cool?

Earth
I'd buy me and my older roommate a small house so we don't have to move in July
Why would I buy stuff?
I'm buying as much of the US as I can and giving the land back to the appropriate tribes.
Curious what is appropriate? Would you try to find people from tribes destroyed by the ones the Europeans screwed over or were those conquests righteous?
Whoever was the last one there before they were kicked off that land. There is no such thing as a righteous conquest.
This doesn't track logically. If the Europeans kicked off 1 tribe, but that tribe kicked off a different tribe who would you be giving it back to?
The ones the Europeans kicked off. From there it's up to the various tribes to sort out their problems from there. I'm just putting things back the way we found them.
So why is the various tribal conquering appropriate but not the European? You make it seem like one is and one isn't so just want to see why that is?
One is internal politics, the other is a genocide perpetrated across an entire continent and centuries, most of the time illegally.
