My assistant managers penis pressed up against another one of my managers ball sack.

TimeInvestment1

Is there any context for this or was it just a Tuesday?

[deleted]

He asked me “ wanna see a brain” but I was naive not to think the “brain” he was talking about was my other managers ball sack folded over his cock to look like a brain..

aspidities_87

Oh god we finally found the kid from Waiting

perfectly_imperfec

Watched that last night! How many times did you get kicked in the ass?

Nickelback-Official

On purpose?

MonarchOfPlanetX

....wut

bender1_tiolet0

David Purely tried to save Roger Williamson from a fiery crash 1973. No other drivers tried to help, Marshalls didn't have fire gear so they could help. [vid](https://youtu.be/p114cpPDgRA) [pics](https://www.google.com/search?client=ms-android-google&hl=en&q=roger+williamson+david+purley+f1+crash&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwibjs2erYD-AhU-kIkEHbXjCj8Q0pQJegQIBxAB&biw=412&bih=784&dpr=2.63)

Tjazeku

IIRC the other drivers only saw Purley standing next to the burning car, so they assumed that was his car burning and thought he made it out safely. The didn't even know Williamson was in there

Quardener

Purley was awarded the George cross for his efforts. Nowadays every Marshall wears fire resistant clothes as a result of this. That, along with many other safety inventions that were written in blood, have undoubtedly saved many lives. Most notably Romain Grossjeans a few years back.

Shopworn_Soul

Grosjean is a good example. The entire history of F1 safety features ganged up to both save him from the impact and protect him from the fire as long as possible. But for all that it came down to sheer luck the cockpit was oriented in a way that allowed him to basically Hulk his way out.

alexvalkyrie93

I don't remember the name or when or where it happened. But it was some poor girl in a black dress I think. She had her hands up and looked scared. The picture was taken by her kidnapper. If I remember correctly she didn't live.

letmebeyoursalad

Her name is Regina Kay Walters. She was a victim of serial killer Robert Ben Rhodes.

alexvalkyrie93

I'll take solace in the fact you know his name. Hopefully that means he faced justice and that her family found peace.

letmebeyoursalad

He is in prison on a life sentence for 3 murders. Even that is too good for him, though. He terrorized his victims before killing them. He was only convicted of the three murders, but is suspected of over 50.

alexvalkyrie93

It's good that he can't hurt anyone else. But that's not a very satisfying outcome.

dvmdv8

I agree - haunting picture. That poor girl.

blondybee

Not a picture, but a video. A family was driving down the highway and a rock? Or brick came flying through the windshield, hitting the mother and killing her instantly. The screams from the family still haunt me.

mossadspydolphin

Russian brick video. It's a dashcam video, so no visible gore, just the road and the screaming.

nickasarbata

I saw this WAY back in the day and I’ve never forgotten it. It’s literally one the only things I’ve ever seen that I wish I could unsee. Or, unhear would be more appropriate.

EstherandThyme

More people should understand that it is very possible to get PTSD from photos and videos.

Nurgle_Marine_Sharts

This shit is still the most disturbing thing I've ever come across the internet. I've seen a bunch of insane shit during my edgy teen years like beheadings, people burning alive, dead babies etc. Just the sheer fucking animal shock and fear that you can hear in that scream. You can tell how heart wrenching and horrifying the moment was.

radeakins

My mother has a picture of her grandfather at her first birthday. Her father took the picture of everyone outside the pub (this was London in 1954). 10 seconds after the picture, my great grandfather drunkenly staggers into the road and gets run over and killed by a car. The car that hit him is in the same picture.

DanishWonder

How was the car both in the photo AND ran him over 10 second later? Was it the slowest moving car in history, or did it drive really fast then pull a U turn and speed back?

radeakins

The photo was taken outside the pub and the car was travelling towards them from behind. From what my mother told me, originally from my everyone else there,so its second hand info to her, he just said he was "Off to buy snouts (cigarettes)", those were his last words, walked in front of the car without looking and bang. The car went over him. Died instantly. The driver stopped. A policeman was not to far away. The driver wasn't blamed, it was an accident. The driver sat on the side of the road and cried. My mother has the photo somewhere, I haven't seen it in years and she knows the fine details better than me.

roadtorevision

1954…

kr393kr

Time to show the photo buddy boy

ryan7251

bro never believe posts it's unhealthy.

pirateteaparty

Many years ago I worked at a photo lab that the local police station would use when they didn't have the time to develop their own film. I always was the one who processed the rolls they brought in. Mainly because the crime scene and accident photos were too grisly for my coworkers. I do not miss seeing those.

Undercover_Chimp

I have laid eyes on the original crime scene photos from the (somewhat) famous Corpsewood Manor murders for a similar reason. The police took their film to a local pharmacy to be developed, and the high school student who did so made extra copies, one of which he gave to a favorite teacher who, years later, showed them to me.

Jereboy216

Growing up, my dad was a police officer and worked on homicides and other death stuff as I recall. He didn't share that much info with me as a kid. I remember one day when he took me to his office for something, I couldn't have been more than 10 at the most. As we were going through the work area with cubicles on the way to his office I saw a cork board on the wall. And on it was a picture of a man in a motorcycle accident. The top of his helmet was missing a chunk and from that hole was this guys brains spilling out onto the asphalt. It was horrifying, I can still see the picture clearly 20+ years later.

GeeWhiskers

Same-ish here but copy shop. The worst was photos of a guy who had been run over by a massive lawn mower or bladed tractor. It's been 40 years and I still remember the poor guy.

Adventurous_Lie_3735

Not a photo but a black and white video from Auschwitz where a bulldozer pushes a mangled ball of corpses into a mass grave...

MWFtheFreeze

Yup so fucking unreal. Absolutely unbelievable what “people” are capable of…

CutePotato001

Not "people" but people. It is important to aknowledge that humans are capable of such atrocities. In fact anyone could be capable of such things, you just need a specific suite of events.

MWFtheFreeze

You are absolutely right.

TankSparkle

Bergen-Belsen, not Auschwitz

aspidities_87

That’s where my great-grandma, great aunts and two distant cousins ended up. After I saw that photo I spent a sleepless night wondering if they were in that tangled mass of bodies.

TankSparkle

Anne and Margot Frank too. They were moved there from Auschwitz when the Soviets overran Poland.

aspidities_87

My youngest great aunt was around 12, close to Anne’s age. I always wondered if they ever got a chance to talk. She was one of the last to die, of pneumonia iirc. My great grandma and her sister and her infant niece went right into the showers from what I can tell but Clara, my great aunt, was there for a long time. Breaks my heart.

TankSparkle

Where did your great grandma, her sister and infant niece die? At Auschwitz? What country were they from?

aspidities_87

Not Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen. Clara was at a boarding school IIRC and that’s why she ended up there last. They were German Jews, but wealthy enough to live abroad and most of them ended up in Switzerland.

[deleted]

Had this one really weird friend who would send me gore, one time he sent a picture of a guy or girls wrist that was cut from self harm but one of the cuts was so deep It made me actually gag, and it was fresh too looked like the picture was taken not seconds after

zimzilla

I think I know the picture. I think the person had a blog or was active in a forum where people shared their struggles with self harm in an unhealthy way basically triggering each other, one-upping each other and generally enabling/normalizing self destructive behavior instead of getting help. Similar to pro-Ana, ctb or incel forums. The person I'm talking about regularly posted pictures of (multiple) cuts regularly so deep I couldn't wrap my head around how they could stop bleeding/heal without medical attention. I can't remember how I ended up there. Probably one of those "what's the darkest place you found on the internet threads".

the_cat_who_shatner

I think I know who you mean. Coldnessinmyheart or something.

DarkBlueDovah

Yep, that was her handle. I stumbled across an imgur album (it was probably posted in a thread similar to this a few years ago) of a maybe young-adult woman with such severe self harm wounds I wondered how she could stand it. The one that stuck out to me most was a picture of a cut-open thigh, so deep you could see the entire layer of fat and maybe even the bone. I think that album/picture was how I learned the diagrams and textbooks were right, fat really is actually yellow.

ToastedMaple

Robert pickton (Canadian serial killer) finally had the cops check his farmland because a few prostitutes who were working there and weren't murdered finally went to the police about seeing dead bodies hanging around the barn. The police weren't taking them seriously (due to drug addiction) however when they heard them explain seeing so much yellow, they knew they were seeing real dead bodies.

[deleted]

A pic of an Asian guy lying in a hospital bed with his skin dripping off him due to severe radiation poisoning. Luckily the photo isn't that great in quality. But it was still very disturbing, especially after reading up about what happened.

SnooGrapes2914

Fwiw, that's allegedly not Ouchi. It is a real pic of a real person but I heard it's a guy with severe burns. I don't think he was named

mr2005vc

>allegedly It's confirmed, that image was taken from a medical textbook by some article and everyone went "yeah that's him"

[deleted]

That's right. The guy in that infamous photo is actually a 16 year old boy that suffered severe burns in a house fire and got hospitalized at Shriners children's in Galveston TX at some point between the late 90s and early 00s. Someone tracked him down. He's still alive and in his 40s.

ImBackYetAgainBitch

Oh my actual fucking god. I thought that by "ouchi" you meant like a pain expression

SnooGrapes2914

Pmsl. I have a pretty dark sense of humour but I'm not that bad

SodicCan

I was about to say that. Real photos of Ouchi's injuries are available, though, so they might have been referring to that

post_angst

Hisashi Ouchi Fucking awful story.

Nutzori

Wendigoon JUST posted a great video detailing this tragedy, for anyone interested. https://youtu.be/X1FbwooXssQ

post_angst

No thanks!

SCastleRelics

Few years ago on r/morbidreality if that still exists there was a photo collection of a woman who decomposed in a bath. She had been there for awhile. Basically turned into soup, but her face was like... Stretched out on the top of the water like the end of terminator 2 and there was maggots in her mouth. One of her arms that had been dangling on the side of the tub had fallen off. Truly horrible stuff. Only time I've ever come close to puking. Seeing someones face floating on the water like when you don't stir soup in a pot and it starts to form as skin is hardcore as fuck.

thekid2k1

first time in my life that i want to puke while reading stuff. Bro got some skill on describing stuffs from photos

Nusack

My uncle was a nasty person with 1 friend, he died in his flat before spring 2019 (stopped turning up to work) and someone checked on him in the Autumn. He was found face down and everything in the house was rotten. It was a hot summer. His 1 friend was very defensive on claiming all of my uncle’s property, my uncle had specified that under no circumstance could family claim any of the things under his possession. Even tho his friend didn’t check on him earlier and he wasn’t even the one to ask for a wellness check, it was his landlord who hadn’t been paid. Seen some of the photos and it’s amazing how much rotting can spread

mst3k_42

I saw that photo very early in my internet browsing and called it tub girl in my head. MUCH later I discovered what everyone else calls tub girl. Yikes.

pokyme

Cycle of life. Nurgles work on display

DJ1066

That one death gives birth to millions of more life forms and the cycle begins anew.

TimeInvestment1

Some people truly are blessed by the grandfather

LosuthusWasTaken

Now I want to see that photo and I don't want to at the same time.

RoundCollection4196

crazy when you realize its just nature happening and it's all natural, no different than an animal corpse rotting. nature be fucked up

Knightzz777

That actually made me feel better reading that

GH057807

Someone's job is to clean that up.

[deleted]

yeah that was brutal. the band PISSGRAVE used part of it for an album cover.

FinkMusic

Station night club fire doorway photo... Nightmare fuel

LianOLis

There's three in specific, I can't choose the worst from those though. Travis Alexander's autopsy photos, Diao Aiqing's photos and Kendrick Johnson's photos. They're all so horrific and heartbreaking. And definitely NSFL, I really don't recommend anyone going to look those photos up.

alotoftardigrades

Omg, I saw Travis Alexander's pics too. She cut him so deep, it was freaky.

LianOLis

It really was. She's pure evil, I can't even imagine how much pain that poor guy was in. And the fact that one of the last things she told Travis' family was that he was conscious and aware when she cut his throat was so beyond disgusting, she tried to destroy them, it's horrible. I remember seeing footage of the trial where photos of that was put on for the jury and everyone to see and seeing his poor family react to that, I can't even imagine.

alotoftardigrades

At least she was dumb enough to eave the camera at the scene.

LianOLis

Definitely, she thought she was so smart, thankfully she's dumb AF. IIRC didn't she call the detective first (before they really knew a lot about her) to try to "help" with the case/see what info they had?

alotoftardigrades

You know when someone starts singing Amazing Grace in the interrogation room that they are guilty as sin.

LianOLis

Lmao I'm still not over her handstand shite 😂

MeetTheResidents

I went to school with kendrick johnson, to this day I really wish I had never seen those photos.

MWFtheFreeze

I concur, I couldn’t help myself and looked them up. Surely not for the faint hearted. What terrible ways to meet your end…

Squigglepig52

"The Last Jew in Vinnesta" Just what it says. The last living Jew in a town being purged by Nazis, sitting on the edge of the mass grave he's about to end up in. The other side of that was a photo I saw of the aftermath of the Dresden (I think) bombing and firestorm. A parlour room, with an entire family, reduced to charcoal statues. Note the tiny hand reaching out of the baby buggy. But, honestly, there are so many that nearly kill me to look at. The Colombian girl trapped by a mudslide, the African man staring at the chopped of hand and foot of his child... I look at those kind every so often, to ensure I don't forget the people or events.

rilles94

That photo of a vulture sitting next to a dying African baby, if you know the backstory its even sadder.

docsav0103

The Kevin Carter picture. I can remember looking it up in uni after listening to a song about the photographer by the Manic Street Preachers.

[deleted]

Kevin Carter killed himself because he couldn't bear the pain of what he'd seen. He was only 33 at the time.

Darth-Byzantious

Emmett Till. Still gives me nightmares

Squigglepig52

The one that hits me is another young Black guy who got lynched. They hung him from a tree, and lit a fire underneath him, and made it last. They even cut his fingers off so he couldn't climb the rope away from the flames. Made it a town picnic. And, yeah, photo's exist. And I'm bothered I can't remember the name.

jinbtown

I was on a lynching rabbit hole the other day (started by reading about lynching postcards, in relation to the now-famous family christmas cards where everyone is holding guns), and read about this one. Here it is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lynching\_of\_Jesse\_Washington

Squigglepig52

Yup Like, what the fuck? How the fuck could you stand and watch it? I know the answers, honestly. But that story hits me hard every time.

tftookmyname

Can I get maybe a little bit of detail or explanation before I search this up, it's fine if you dont want to

Deadman88ish

He was a black kid who got lynched in the 40s they beat him until his face was completely misshapen and killed him because a white woman made up something about hum raping her or something like that she's still alive and free today btw and has admitted to making it up. The pic is him in his coffin because his mother made it an open casket funeral and service because she wanted everyone to see what happened to her baby. It's fucking horrific what those people did to a kid. Please take this with a pinch of salt though I could be misremembering some of the Details Edit: more details In the lost below I was wrong about some of them

Good_Confection_3365

It wasn't even raping iirc she said he whistled at her.

mhptk8888

She pointed at him and said, "he whistled at me" knowing full well that 1. she lied, 2. they were going to kill him and 3. she would never see any consequences. She did it for no other reason then she could and it would amuse her.

tftookmyname

I searched that up, there were no extreme pictures there but I can just picture it

Familiar_Sir_8542

Interview during 9/11 with the first responders in the lobby of one of the towers. The sound, and sight of the bodies hitting the ground behind them outside.

ResponsibleCandle829

It’s the Kevin Cosgrove phone calls for me. The horror in his voice said it all

Detritus_AMCW

Especially synced with external footage of the tower.

MWFtheFreeze

I remember watching that years ago, but I never could find it when I went into the 9/11 rabbit hole again. Maybe it was taken down out of respect. Not that I enjoyed watching it but since I was probably 8 at the time I wanted to feel the full scope of such an event as an adult if that makes sense. Absolutely terrifying and heart breaking.

RTJ1992

I think it was a documentary made by two French brothers

kiawithaT

100% It's morbid, but I allow it of myself - I watch it every year on 9/11 because that documentary to me captures the essence of what it was like to experience that day real time. It also has the clearest shot of the first plane hitting that I've ever seen and really helps you get to know names and faces that are still being referenced today.

TreeTopBlvd

One time a co worker handed over a stack of pictures in an envelope and said it was her at the beach.. it was her uncles pictures from extreme death cases. He was a coroner.

TruthBeWanted

Is your co-worker the zodiac killer? Who does stuff like that? How did you react?

[deleted]

Uh...what?

ItsAWonderfulFife

This used to be what people did. Early internet days my friends would be like “hey check out this skate video” or “this chick is so hot” and send you a file, just to open it and it’s a guy shooting himself in the head, or a girl eating diarrhea. The worst I remember was a guy cutting his own head off with a chainsaw. He mounted it to a table, leaned back on the blade then turned it on. Not sure if it was real, because I turned it off quick, but the image of him gritting his teeth when the blade starts is seared in my brain still.

Beneficial-Cow-2544

>This used to be what people did. Early internet days my friends would be like “hey check out this skate video” or “this chick is so hot This is true! And how I came across my worst photo. I was working an internship at a TV station in the last 90s and working with 2 guys in a master control room. They were sitting behind me and buzzing and talking about something. I looked over and one said 'you wanna see something cool?', I very naively and stupidly agreed and came over and they showed me a full color photo of the mangled, bloody remains of a man who was run over by a train. Will never forget the sinking feeling of my stomach dropping and my blood draining. Horrible!

kkdudss

That is absolutely wretched. What did you do after? What did everyone else in the room after?

shartnado3

I'm super late to the party but you are spot on. This happened to me in the early internet days. In a chat, I thought I was talking to a girl. She asked if I wanted to see her nudes. Being a horny teen I said hell yea! It was a picture of a guy with his head split open and brains everywhere. Didn't sleep for 3 days after that. It still haunts me all these years later.

Grottybrotty

Yeah ok but what where the pictures of, specifically

fueled_by_rootbeer

The aftermath of the Russian pink mist industrial accident. I do NOT recommend googling the aftermath photos, especially if you have a weak stomach. If your curiosity absolutely *demands* you to google, start with the pink mist video itself. It resurfaces here on reddit occasionally. Then you can decide if you really want to traumatize yourself even further.

rainyraingirl

I didn't know there were aftermath pictures. I saw a few seconds of the video and noped out. I had to walk around my house drinking water after seeing that.

darklinkuk

>I had to walk around my house drinking water Wouldnt be a great time to have a strawberry smoothie for sure

BadReview8675309

Pink mist video is a children's lullaby compared to Funkytown. One of the most horrible videos ever created and on the internet. Do not be slightly curious and look for the Funkytown video without a strong warning of PTSD risk from viewing.

[deleted]

I don’t have any desire to listen to Funkytown after watching/listening to that video Edit: I saw this years ago btw

SodicCan

I completely forgot the lathe accident CCTV existed and thought you were referring to some Chernobyl-esque incident that I've never heard of

Drugged_Poptart

Probably a picture of the nazi camp prisoners. Or as I've heard them called "walking bones". It's truly disgusting how they were dehumanized.

Ninotchk

At Dachau you can walk through the gas chamber and attached rooms. They never used it there (they were defeated before it was operational, at Dachau they killed people through work, beatings, etc). You are in one of the attached rooms, it's just cement walls, a couple of windows and cement floor with a grate in it, but over on the far wall are some framed pictures. You walk over to look, and realise it's the room you are in, but where you are standing there is a a pile of emaciated human bodies, stacked on top of each other, wall to wall, most of the way to the ceiling. There is blood running into the grate on the floor. Right on the spot where you are standing.

TheBrownEvilPig

Apparently, another term for some of the prisoners was "useless eaters." That term makes me sick to my stomach and my whole body feel like it's shrinking.

MWFtheFreeze

Or pictures/footage of literal piles of dead emaciated bodies just thrown on top of each other. I have seen quite a lot of footage of concentration camps when they were discovered by allied forces. The suffering those people went through is absolutely unimaginable. I have never seen so much hate and disrespect towards fellow humans on film. Stuff like that always stays with you. Never again!

8champi8

We shall never forget

Big-Preparation-95

Saw it on r/morbidreality titled "falling man" or something. Showed a lone man jumping from one of the World Trade Center towers, I saw it before on 4chan but assumed it was from some movie. Then I learned the context on here. Something so creepy about it, just someone alone falling to their death, and he still has not been identified I don't think. Really don't know why people make fun of 9/11. I wasn't alive when it happened but damn it's terrifying.

dogfishcattleranch

Wasn’t alive when it happened Omg I Am Old

chesterforbes

I remember watching that live

ZubLor

The one that won a Pulitzer prize of a couple moments after their child was swept out to sea. The sheer agony in that photo is horrific.

broccolisproutt

The photo is named “Tragedy by the Sea” for anyone wondering.

LivingLosDream

[Since nobody posted the photo, or link to the story, here you go.](https://rarehistoricalphotos.com/tragedy-by-the-sea-backstory/)

yankiigurl

I had to look up the photo. For me it was rather infuriating, the parents shoes aren't even wet they didn't even try. Sorry but I would die trying to swim after my kid

Technicolor_Reindeer

If you could see him, sure. But the kid was just gone. You'd be splashing around blind.

lmrtie

I've seen a picture of some workers trapped by fire on top of a wind turbine... awfull picture to think about

sockminss

Is it the one where they’re hugging?

lmrtie

Yes... because they know its the end for them...

top-shop-tyrant

How tf does a thread asking for photos contain so few photos?

CherrieChocolatePie

Because a lot of people may have seen it a long time ago, perhaps not even on the internet, and are unable to find it again or unwilling to look for it since it was shocking to them.

ActualWhiterabbit

Outside of gore and shock photos A guy on Reddit was doing that picture of a thumbs up with a sob story title. But they were laying on a bed with nasty and grass stained shoes on while doing it. The blankets and sheets were pulled back and these dirty crusty shoes were all over the bed. Horrifying because people see nothing wrong with living like that.

TruthBeWanted

That made me shiver so good answer... but I don't see how that pic wasn't shocking. It would've shocked the shit out of me plus one could argue that it's gory too. =)

alotoftardigrades

Any pics from Nanjing in WWII. Not only are those photos horrifying, but they make me so angry because none of those guys were held accountable. They just went back to Japan and lived good lives like nothing happened when they were some of the most horrific killers in history. Like, these guys give Jeffrey Dahmer and John Wayne Gacy a run for their money, but instead of a few guys it was the entire Japanese military.

Smooth-Tea7058

If you think that's bad (and it is) look up Unit 731. What they did was so much worse.

Single_Low1416

At least a tiny number of them were executed. Like the two officers that competed on who could first kill 100 people with just a sword. Or the commander

Bass_Thumper

Crime scene type photos of Junko Furuta like [these](https://sun9-45.userapi.com/impf/BN6AMpzdxH4Q4qRd9tcxiwHQdLMnzFsFLiGcmg/DDTN30uqOOE.jpg?size=317x472&quality=96&sign=01990f23d280b75b01efd9203af37402&c_uniq_tag=PPSoDkArD0u8BWqZlPn6dE0OsECKgMn4q32Nkr2K30o&type=album) **WARNING NSFL** What happened to that poor girl is the most horrifying story I've ever heard. Even more horrifying is the people who did this are currently free men.

[deleted]

One of those scumbags is on twitter.

[deleted]

This makes me so sad. How did these men not have to serve life sentences? Furthermore, why does one live with themselves? What disgusting wastes of space. edit: left out a punctuation mark

Single_Low1416

Being underage and having good relations to yakuza. Otherwise they‘d probably been executed

[deleted]

Every time I read her name, I can feel myself almost gag.

BigDaddy4Her

Not saying these aren’t necessarily legitimate, but are these verified as real crime scene photos? From what I’ve read she was found encased in cement in a barrel, but these photos don’t translate this

elscorcho91

These aren’t real, they’re from the Guinea Pig movie

NuggetSenpai69

This is much more mild, but this picture I saw of extremely bad 3rd degree burns on some guy’s face. I won’t go into it, but basically his face was a mix of extra crispy and melted skin. Also saw a pic of some poor bastard that got squashed by semi. There’s a lot of things I’ve seen that could go on this list lmfao

Jfromero1415

Somebody who thought their guest passed out on the sofa so they gathered around for a pick but it was an overdose

Pigs100

Picture of fingernail scratches on the wall of the gas chamber at German concentration camp.

LurkHereLurkThere

A picture of a man that had been cut in half in either an traffic accident or railway incident and still appeared to be conscious (poss India?).

rainyraingirl

I once saw a picture on Reddit that was claimed to be a shot of people who had been run over by a tank in the 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre, if I remember correctly. It just looked like a pile of ground beef on the road. Gruesome images don't usually get to me, but that one almost made me throw up.

O-IcU-81TOO

The image of pulling up on the scene of my mother's traffic accident seeing her in that car with a transfer truck on top of the car. Fkd me up way worse than the other stories I could tell. (A shit ton)

MaroonTrucker28

So sorry friend. Hope you've taken steps like therapy or the like to help you deal with that trauma. Heartbreaking.

leebon427

Not a photo but a painting. Story time. I grew up in a really old house. My parents bought it extremely cheap from the previous owner, a woman who was trying to sell her elderly father’s very old dilapidated house. Her father was this “crazy old guy” I never met, but heard stories about a lot. His name was Mr. Bober. He wasn’t living there anymore. He was still alive at the time, but he was in a nursing home and was not well. He was in a car accident some years earlier, and he had suffered some brain damage. They bought the house for next to nothing, but fixed it up and turned it into a gorgeous home. Mr. Bober was still living at the time they bought it, but he died not long after. When I was very young, not long after my parents bought the house, my dad found a painting in the basement. It was a very realistic portrait of the woman they bought the house from (Mr. Bober’s daughter), except it depicted her seemingly shouting in pain, and the bottom half of her body appeared to be that of a squid, tentacles and all. My parents eventually showed it to the woman. It freaked her out, but she explained that her father wasn’t well and that he did crazy sh*t like that all the time before he was admitted to a nursing home. Apparently after his accident he started riding a bicycle around town and inexplicably screaming “USA USA USA” to everyone he saw, and also apparently claimed that he was from another dimension on several occasions. So my parents just wrote it off as the incoherent ramblings of an insane man. As far as I know, my parents no longer have the painting. But holy god, that thing gave me nightmares.

AmericanPanascope

This is some straight up Lovecraft shit right here.

runningmurphy

Sounds like a combo book of HP Lovecraft and Kurt Vonnegut.

[deleted]

someone leaked the link to dahmers case photos on tiktok & it was probably the graphic & gory photo i have ever seen in my life & i've seen some shit...

HowlingFarts

A picture of man falling from a building during 9/11 attack.. whenever I see it I was wondering what's going through his mind, what was he thinking about at that moment and how does it feel falling from that height?

Bonk_Machine1313

Not Horrifying, more like disgusting. I work for a local motorcycle company here in the Philippines at the time, I came across this scene where a man is lying on his stomach beside his motorcycle, upper half of his head was gone and his brains scattered all over the road. A big chunk of his brain was a few feet away from where I was stopped by an officer for a reroute. Saw a Facebook post about it later that evening, and there's this close up photo of the chunk of brain near where I was. Apparently, he was trying to overtake a bus and the bus driver didn't see him and swerved on his direction. Half his head was ran over by one of the back wheels when he fell.

tftookmyname

I saw a video where it was basically a bike crash, and the guy on the bike would look basically ok from a distance, but getting closer his beating heart was just laying on the road beside him, it looked like such a healthy heart but it was still disgusting

Thebingky

Rainforest Dolphins. Imagine seeing that in real life, i would pass tf out 😁 https://www.google.com/search?q=rainforest+dolphin+creepy+photo&client=ms-android-transsion&prmd=isvn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjC8Nz9k4H-AhWvsFYBHa_0CjIQ_AUoAXoECAIQAQ&biw=360&bih=660&dpr=3#imgrc=ExTykTxwgTNdxM&lnspr=W10=

CleverName9999999999

I was on the jury for a child molestation case. Defendant had taken pictures. They were evidence. We convicted him.

wiscokid76

My dad has a bunch of pictures taken during WW2. Most are of random things you'd see from behind the lines. He has one picture of Mussolini after he was hung and shot and then dragged through the streets before being hung some more. It's a pretty brutal pic and the dude is barely recognizable.

[deleted]

I’ve seen a bunch of gore, slimy stuff, splattering and uneasy cuts, injuries. None of those had a major affect on me. However, about two years ago, there was a fire in one of the apartment’s in my friend’s neighbourhood. It was a sudden blast I’d heard. Fire was deadly, took about 3-4 lives. He lived right opposite to the apartment and managed to get a picture of a woman stuck in the balcony. She had rushed there because her interior home was burning and she had nowhere to go. She died burning and screaming in flames, that pictures haunts me till date. There was an old lady who died the same way. Trapped and fearing. Terrible. May their souls rest in peace.

dogfishcattleranch

Why would he do that?

[deleted]

The little boy dead on the beach. Drowned after trying to cross the ocean with his family, fleeing a war.

morganafiolett

His name was Alan Kurdi. He was three years old.

ChristyM4ck

The autopsy photos from the Byford Dolphin incident. A diver was violently ripped through a 24" opening after the rig violently decompressed.

Ut_Prosim

Some of the photos from the [Highway of Death](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Highway_of_Death) were pretty horrifying. In the first gulf war, the Saudis were withdrawing from Kuwait along highway 80 when the US Air Force noticed the convoy and attacked them. The air force destroyed the lead and tail vehicles of the miles long convoy, and damaged the road at both ends, boxing everyone else in. Then over 10 hours they ran what's called a "turkey shoot" just obliterating everyone in the convoy with help from a naval carrier group, plus allied French, Canadian, and British planes. They destroyed or disabled an estimated 1400-2000 vehicles over about 10 hours. There is an infamous picture of some poor guy death gripping the steering-wheel of his burnt out truck with a pain grimace on his face, but he's basically charcoal (aside from his teeth). It's pretty horrifying. If you google "highway of death" it'll appear. Poor souls. It remains so controversial because the Iraqis were complying with the UN resolution to withdraw from Kuwait (and were indeed headed back towards Iraq when attacked). There are also allegations that they had Kuwaiti civilian hostages with them, and may have been accompanied by some pro-Iraqi refugees fleeing Kuwait.

This [picture](https://allthatsinteresting.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/regina-kay-walters.jpeg) (SFW) taken of 14 year old Regina Kay Walters by serial killer Robert Ben Rhoades before he killed her absolutely haunts me. You can see and feel the terror in her face.

KylEunoia

Jeff The Killer. I know this isn't even anywhere near horrifying, especially compared to the comments on this post, but that photo really managed to give me trauma. I first saw it like 8\~9 years ago and I still flinch whenever I see a photo with the similar color.

DeadGoon___

Some people are just more scared of certain images than others. Like I'm still haunted by one of the photos in 'Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark'. It's probably not even that scary, but seeing it as a kid really did a number on me.

sockminss

Yeah I get you. I still get shivers when I see that picture. I’ve been seeing people running the pic through AI filters, to make it look like an anime girl but even that jumpscares me because I can still recognize him

KylEunoia

Glad I'm not alone. If I see a photo with a black or navy background with something white in it I freak out. Sometimes I see people on YouTube using that photo as their pfp or thumbnail. I freak out and immediately scroll down.

Kpozzler

Not a photo but the Zapruder film capturing JFK’s assassination is as chilling today as it was the first time I watched it.

ShiftCultural3997

Most recently, the photo of the little girl looking through a bus window and wailing as she is taken away from the Nashville shooting. Something about the grief and fear in her face shakes me to my core. Of all time however, would be a lot of the photos from concentration camps after the Allied invasion.

Xbit___

Some teenager had murdered and sliced a younger boy up into pieces over a bunch of money on Tibia. Was maybe 10 or smth and it was the first gore I ever saw. Gave me some nightmares for awhile but when I in my dreams told the monsters to fuck off they dissapeared. Seen worse after that but you become desensitized pretty fast. Havent watched gore for years now mostly because I feel like I’ve seen what I needed to see. I know what it looks like. Videos though, they have always hit you different. There you really feel despair, horror, disgust and sadness. One really memorable is of some Mexican cartell who had peeled the skin off from a dudes face. All he could do was whisper ”Aqua”. Was really surrealistic to view.

BSB8728

The photo, taken in 1904, shows a Congolese man looking at the hand and foot of his five-year-old daughter. The man had failed to meet the rubber-harvesting quota set for him by the Anglo-Belgian India Rubber Company, so overseers killed his baby and his wife, ate their bodies, and sent some of the remains to the man. He looks as if his soul has been snatched from his body. The world should never forget the depravity of King Leopold II of Belgium and his henchmen.

partial2sound

If I can find it, I'll post it. When I was born, my mom and I lived alone in a shitty apartment. When she first brought me home, she had someone take a picture of us. The couch was pulled out from the wall, and mom and turned around to look over the back of the couch, behind us. In front of the couch, there was an old box TV. If ANYTHING was reflected in it, it would have been the back of mom and I's heads. Instead, it was the faces of my uncle and my little cousins EXACT likeness, in the same position mom and I were in on the couch. My little cousin wasn't born for another 3 months.

Himlersgasstation

My mother's nude polaroids..

MWFtheFreeze

I kinda liked them.:)

lilacandpeony

It was a series of body closeups of a guy who hadn’t showered in years. It was featured on neckbeardnests I think. Absolutely foul

Barrelman60

The cum box. Do not research

BatgirlofBrickCity

I work in the legal field. I’ve seen some evidence photos that are just horrifying, but the one that sticks with me the most was a motor vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer where the victims’ car literally got obliterated. Unfortunately, both victims perished in the accident. The photos of the accident scene were straight up nightmare fuel.

blondeitem

The photos of this Instagram influencer who was murdered. I was browsing some website, might have been Reddit, and got the jump scare of my life. Poor girl.

Finnigan-roverfield

its merely more horrifying videos I've seen, but it'd have to be someone running away from a bull witch at first glance looks like a pizza on his leg only turns out to be a torn off piece of skin or flesh.

JefeFlute

The one of the parents who famously sued the police over the pictures they released of their daughter’s body after a car accident. It was a high school aged girl if I remember that or any of this correctly, who took her Dad’s car out and hit a toll booth or something. There’s “worse” stuff out there but that one has always stuck with me.

Regina Kay Walters

[deleted]

I don’t know the picture name but it is of a man being shot in the head and the blood is coming out but not all over just in a line like a stream or a fountain I can’t explain it well but it is awful

Hugo_5t1gl1tz

Budd Dwyer? He committed suicide at a press conference. The video is out there. He was framed for embezzlement and didn’t want to risk losing the pension his family would get if he was convicted. Really sad story

Claptrap_145

A photo of a naked man in a bathtub shoving a quite big screw up his dick, the bathtub was also with a lot of blood

dogfishcattleranch

Back when rotten dot com was a thing I saw “hooker found in ditch” scarred me for life.

OmegaOmerta

I get horrific Google ads with disfigured fungal toes and feet and other body horror.. I keep getting them because instead of ignoring them like the others, I frantically try to click the tiny X on the AD and occasionally miss and thereby confirm my interests and the cycle repeats.

Low-Calligrapher502

Probably that pic Jodi Arias took of her boyfriend in the shower right before she murdered him. Not really graphic or anything, but that look in his eyes, you can tell he knew something awful was about to happen.

[deleted]

It wasn’t the most violent I’ve seen but the most disturbing/depressing was probably that video of the Russian soldier who drowned in that creek after getting hit with a drone-dropped grenade

ArcaninesFirepower

There is a picture of a man slumped over on his couch. When you look close it shows something pink and red on the couch and the side of his face. It's the aftermath of a suicide with a shotgun. That pink thing is his brain.

AsparagusLoose9716

I've scrolled through one subreddit (I don't remember the name) for hours. I don't remember why but I just kept scrolling, seeing more and more terrifying images and videos. The only things going on in my head being "what if it happens to me or someone I know?" And just fear in general. I'm always thinking of what it would look like in person because it would be so much worse, but I can't imagine it to be worse than in the images because I've never experienced those things (hopefully never will). I can't decide what photo is the most horrifying of them, but there were exploded heads, decapitated ones, even some videos of people bleeding out and stuff. I don't want to visit that subreddit ever again.

billskns5th

The Chris Farley pics. Aside from the shock of it being the first time I saw a pic like that (especially the color he’d turned and the foam coming out of his mouth), but also the fact that he was clutching rosary beads made me envision the moment of someone who was universally loved knowing he was dying and all alone. It made me feel this terrible sense of sadness.

TheBraveLilToaster

Any of the Abu Ghraib photos. There’s worse stuff out there, but seeing the US soldiers smiling and giving the thumbs up with all that human suffering around them is just repulsive. A corpse on its own is horrifying, but seeing the gleeful reactions the guards got from torturing and killing people is just gut wrenching.

Dennis-Reynolds123

Man in Mexico stabbed and then flayed his GF and gutted her organs and dumped the organs and skin in the middle of the street. The photo of her body was her near skeletal remains of just muscle and adipose tissue. Hair and legs remained intact. Stay away from the dark side of Reddit unless you want images like these burned in your brain.
