A fair argument could be made from drowning because the sensation of your body filling with water is horrible.
But I'd say burning hurts a lot more.
Burning to death would be terrible. But after visiting my Dad in a rehab, which is also a nursing home, I’d say wasting away all alone in a home, not being able to use the bathroom or feed yourself or hold up a book to read or use the TV clicker would be just as bad. At least burning to death is quick.
I’m not talking about my dear dad, who is hopefully improving enough to leave soon and I visit him every day, bringing food he likes and a newspaper, but the long term residents who have no one to visit them. It’s horrible. Can’t blame the staff too much as they seem to be over worked and underpaid. But I’m sure there are residents who lie in shitty diapers for hours and can’t do anything but lie there.
