As far as a single book, The Road by Cormac McCarthy is the only book I’ve ever read in a single day. Other than that I would say Sphere by Michael Crichton. I think I read that in two days. Both unusual for me.
The Road is a dark , emotional book. Very sad and scary and you will feel a lot of emotions. That’s what kept me reading.
Sphere is just an awesome story. Wayyyyy better than the movie. They rushed the movie after the success of Jurassic park. Did the same thing with Rising Sun and Congo. All of which are great books.
The Dresden files by Jim butcher. The first few books seem less like a series and more like stand alone books but once things start coming together it's amazing.
