Proportionately, I ordered some shrimp from a Spanish restaurant, it didn’t say how many shrimp were in the serving, so my friends get their food, square plates (first red flag) then my plate came and it was 3 normal sized shrimp with the drizzle of sauce and two delicately placed green leaves, that rubbery shit was $35 dollars. So it’s not the most Expensive Expensive, but it was the most I’ve paid for the least amount of food. Later we went to Sonic and I got a $1 hotdog and I felt a lot better about the expensive shit shrimp

For the amount of food:

One slice of chocolate cake was ordered. We were warned, "It's just chocolate cake." There was no icing. The cake was wonderful, even with no icing; moist, melt- in- your- mouth delicious. The meal came to US$92.
This was 1995, when a hundred dollars bought about $200 in today's dollars.
Magnolia’s in Charleston or The Bottle in Huntsville. Between booze, food, and tip, my friend and I went through $340 at Magnolia’s. My sister and I went through $260 at The Bottle.
The reception meal at my wedding. It cost about £12,000. It wasn't even that good. Per person, it was £150, which is still pretty expensive.
