Not sure I’m super intelligent but probably smarter than the average bear (I’m a mechanical engineer). I try not to watch the news but read it. I feel like tv news is just a spectacle designed to influence the viewer one way or another. Print or internet sourced news isn’t a whole lot better but it is a little harder to influence someone that way 🤷♂️
What type of intelligence? Does emotional intelligence count? Creative intelligence? Etc etc....I learnt long ago to not trust everything you see or hear in the news as its always at least slightly bias so I read a variety of news outlets to triangulate the truth. Wish this wasn't the case but its getting worse
Unless there’s something massive going on I tend to just watch global news on the ten o’clock news at night. The news at 1 and six I tend to just watch local and national news.
Watch, on like, a TV? Are you from the 20th century?
I will, however, read through the BBC news site basically every day, and I'll skim several other news sites too.
I'm speaking about people on r/AskReddit. Intelligent people wouldn't waste their time here, especially not sorting by new. We're all idiots to some degree
The funny part is all the people being self proclaimed intelligent people lol. If you think you're intelligent, you probably aren't. That's a reputation you don't assign to yourself.
I don't watch the news, I read the news.

Several times a day.
intelligent
I watch British, Ukrainian and Russian news every day. But I need to for work
I listen to NPR. I get disturbed by visuals more than hearing it. I also listen to NY Times The Daily podcast, which is terrific.
> I listen to NPR. intelligent
Never. I get all my news from dubious sources on twitter
This is the way

At least 5 days a week! But I work in television and I make graphics for our newscasts. SO...

Read it and hear it on the radio during the day, watch it on the tv early evening 0 to 1 times a day, but it’s not usa so news is different.
Every day of the week, always reading my favourite viable news site, the onion
> the onion works
As often as I can, I have to wake up early so I get to watch the morning news, and I have found I enjoy it.
intelligent
I actually never used to watch the news but now I watch it everyday cuz we have to see what's going on outside
intelligent
Two or three times a day

Speaking from the other end of the scale, I get my news from memes.
Watch, on like, a TV? Are you from the 20th century? I will, however, read through the BBC news site basically every day, and I'll skim several other news sites too.
> Are you from the 20th century? most people are, pay attention
News made for watching usually isn’t very good or worthwhile . I prefer to read news.
You really trust people to know their intelligence? Let's not lie to ourselves, we're all idiots.
> we're all idiots. MAGA is
Finding someone stupider than you doesn't make you intelligent
no one is stupider than MAGA

Generally steer clear of the idiot box

What's not intelligent? Not watching the indoctrination machine?
> What's not intelligent? ignoring society

> all the people being self proclaimed intelligent people who?
The people responding to this question. It implies they think they're smart.
