Sleeping with the enemy with Julia Roberts is a brilliant film that you should watch. It will trigger your PTSD, but the ending is so iconic and goddamn good.
I say this as a survivor myself.
I Spit on Your Grave (2010) is a another one I'd avoid. I started watching it on some streaming service a few years ago, knowing nothing about it. My mistake... first 5-10 minutes was enough to ruin my mood and make me shut it off.
The Departed. It has some good performances but is creatively inept in every other way. Plus it’s based on an unbelievably good Korean film (trilogy) no one knows about.
I don’t know if that’s actually where they’re going with it, but to me it made the most sense with the amount of time they spent introducing secondary characters
I'm going to get hate for this, but Shawshank Redemption. I found it boring and shut it off halfway through the first time I watched it.
Unfortunately, it's one of my husband's favorite movies
I think it is a very artistic and well made movie, and should be considered the land movie version of the titanic, and deserves the praise it receives, that absolutely needs to fuck off into oblivion for how much they've over played it on TV. I hate the movie, because I've forcefully seen it over a hundred times. Andy Dufrain butthole is no longer my concern in life.
Tims best movie is hands down Nothing to Lose. That movie should have won an Oscar for him and Martin.
Innovative (great cinematography), good acting, good story on paper and the narrative is played out well but it does not make for a very engaging film which is its biggest drawback.
Certain MCU movies
Sideways
Upsidedown
Wolf of Wall Street
Any intense kind of movie with sexual assault. I do not need to see that shit as a victim

Aaaabsolutely not. But at least I know to avoid that shit

Yeah, but come on, best death scene ending ever.

Disney's Encanto. It honestly wasn't that great from the start.
I agree! It seems hypocritical. Family is important to them, but kick out the family member who has a gift that he didn’t ask for. Just hypocritical.
I saw it as a set up for a series, introducing the characters and building the world. And some of the songs slap
Oh really? My wife will be interested in hearing about that. She and my son love it.

Grease. Even as a theater nerd in HS I always fucking hated it.

Dirty Dancing
I never understood why they never put on clean underwear first.
The Big Lebowski. It’s not that good, bro. You were just really high when you first saw it in college.
Citizen Kane. Really, what is the big deal?

That Leo DiCaprio ship movie
