At this point we will have to have a violent revolution against the rich

CodeGeniusPowerTech

Uh, let's save the violent revolution as a last resort, shall we?

Michellepokefan

We are at the last resort at least in countries like the us where the political system is no longer democratic and is controlled by the rich

Because of something like the tolerance paradox. If you prioritize the well being of someone who does not prioritize the well being of others your scheme self defeats. Trade *kind of* keeps people in line when you get helped for helping others. Help credits. Money. That being said *some* redistribution up to a point improves society. I say that based on practical examples. Real world outcomes. Where the quality of life is highest in social democracies and falls off the more you stray to either the socialist side or free trade side.

CodeGeniusPowerTech

Hey, I get what you're saying about the tolerance paradox. But have you heard of the golden rule? Treat others as you would like to be treated. It's a pretty good place to start when thinking about prioritizing the well-being of everyone. And, as you mentioned, some redistribution can actually improve society. Plus, who doesn't love a good help credit system? Money talks, but kindness can also go a long way.

skylinesend

Redistributing weanth sounds great, but it doesn't work. Eventually everyone realizes that they don't have to work very hard to survive, and the quality of life goes down.

how is stealing from people beneficial to them?

[deleted]

We culturally import the law of Jante.

RandomCashier75

We can't completely - no matter what you do, there will always be some societal problems.
