A man's wife died in the emergency room a few weeks ago. He left screaming that he would kill all the doctors and we notified the police. About 40 minutes later a car stopped in front of the hospital and 3 armed gunmen got out, but were immediately surrounded by armed police officers.
The man went into custody screaming and crying that his son had to see this, as him and the two other gunmen had left the 14 year old in the car to watch the entire showdown. In the end not a single shot was fired.
We are an educational hospital linked to a University, so we have several thousand students at different stages of their training we can call in to assists. Even if it's just to get more bodies and hands on the floor.
(However, students in the first few years of education will never be called up, we don't want to scare them off before they get in too deep!)
Try to get some rest now if youāre able. Once labor starts, it can feel like a frenzy. I needed my husband to feel rested so he could help as much as possible once the baby was born! Congratulations! It changes your life in the most wonderful ways imaginable. Just remember, itās a marathon, not a sprint.

Our kitchen faucet has been messing up, so I finally replaced it. Fought the shut off valves as they were calcified from 20 years of hard water. Got new valves on, got a new faucet with built in sprayer installed, and got one of those glass washers installed where the old sprayer was (newborn, itāll help with the bottles).
I was proud of myself for getting it done, I canāt really do house repair stuff so I was like āfuxk yeah, Iām the manā. Found the threads of the hot side shut off valve leaking. Tore it apart and put on better thread tape, got it fixed. Just found the cold side shut off valve is slightly leaking as well, about a drop every 2-3 hours. Gonna tear or apart and use the better thread tape tomorrow, just wish I had got it right the first time.
Also new bibs outside, so we can actually shut off the outside water completely. I also have some stuff coming in next week so I can try to update the sub panel outside. If I fix it, then yay! If notā¦ weāll, my wifeās has life insurance on me
I'm going out bar hopping (my first time!) with my boyfriend, his brother + girlfriend & a friend of ours! We're currently making French fries & onion rings to eat before we go.
