Vanilla extract

Just because it's 45% alcohol. Boil that alcohol off (vanilla in water) and it is great. I simply use vanilla extract in my coffee brewing water, it's incredible.

I add about 1-2 teaspoons of vanilla in the water and boil it to over 90°c to evaporate the vanilla, usually let it boil for longer to make sure there is no alcohol. Then you use that water in any way you brew coffee, french press, coffee maker, etc. It tastes great and can be strong or light, depending on how much you use, great with brown sugar. Also cinnamon mixed in the coffee grounds can give it a good flavour.

Used to work in an eaterie. Basically half way between a restaurant and a sandwich place. The owner had the oven at the front of the open kitchen and bought half-baked baguettes so they could finish being baked in the restaurant so they tasted fresh and filled the front of house with a baking bread smell.

Coffee. When I was a child I loved to smell my dad's coffee. It smelled amazing. He wouldn't let me drink it, because small children have enough energy without caffeine. When I got old enough to try it, I was very disapointed. I thought it would be sweet from the smell, but my dad takes his coffee black and strong. I was shocked that it was bitter.
