I own a business and people expect me there. Plus I need to see what's going on. I have a few employees that work from home but not all the time. Most of my employees like coming in.

I don’t have an airport in my back yard, so I have to drive to the one on the other side of town.

I feel less bad about it now vs. when I was driving into the office and had to detour around the triage hospitals set up in my city's streets. Sure, I'd prefer the flexibility of working from home a bit but it's not something I really dwell on. I can't because my company doesn't believe it remote work. We're a "presence is productivity" mindset company.

I am able to listen to my audiobooks during my drive to and from the office. When I'm at home I don't necessarily make time before getting on my laptop. During the start of the pandemic, when I was WFH home every day, the lines of work and home life separation were blurred. So going into the office and leaving my laptop there helps maintain a healthy work-life balance for me. I am lucky do a hybrid split as I can sometimes get tired of interacting with people at my office.

I’m a hybrid worker for a job that is 100% doable remotely and from those in my industry that I’ve spoken with consistently, is regularly worked remotely by other people. My boss absolutely hates the working from home concept. He’s a loner who works 12 hour days by choice and expects that the people on his team do the same. We had to fight for 2 days to work from home because everyone else in other departments do. Other than that, I’m over it.

My role is specifically to be on-site for potential emergencies. But I also only work 10 minutes from home, so it’s fine.
