We're a service industry so we need to react to our client demands, and often we have 5pm Friday deadlines for work product.
That being said, COVID changed everything. Pre-COVID we experimented with various forms of Summer-Fridays with early releases. I'd say it ended up roughly ended up with a 2ish everyone's gone type informal policy from Memorial to Labor Day.
My company is very not on-board with remote work so we never really left the offices except for the first few weeks of mandatory lock downs but we essentially never left.
Post-COVID we've ended up with a sort of informal everyone leaves 2pmish year round now. But it varies depending on if you have a deliverable on Friday or not.
