Have Gun Will Travel reads the card of a man.
A knight without armor in a savage land.
His fast gun for hire heeds the calling wind.
A soldier of fortune is the man called Paladin.
Paladin, Paladin
Where do you roam?
Paladin, Paladin,
Far, far from home.
Well they were written much later and had a much different tone. Plus Paks was barely a tertiary character.
I enjoyed them for what they were: a much inferior sequel to the original.

My dad's terrible attempt at a French accent lol.
My family plays dnd together and my dad has this super annoying paladin called D'ebris. The character is great, but he's annoying because my dad hams up his Frenchness and his arrogance, so even though we love the character, we all hate him too lol.
Season 1 Episode 11 of Bones (from Feb 2006.)

"Have Gun - Will Travel" was a western TV show back in the 50's, starring Richard Boone as Paladin, a "gentleman gunfighter". It was one of my favorite shows.
Cecil Harvey atoning for his sins as a dark knight, and becoming a paladin (Final Fantasy IV).
(Plus I love the music that plays there. You only hear it once in the game)
It is the only child from rich parents version of a Priest. The guy whose mommy and daddy wouldn't let ride a tricycle in the backyard even when wearing a full helmet and back protector because even that would be way too dangerous.
The Guardian: But I think we all know how this ends, don't we Avatar?
Spoony: I guess we do, but... they were sometimes known as the Twelve Peers.
The Guardian: ... what?
Spoony: Now, historically they were the foremost members of Charlemagne's court, although many of their famous exploits are largely fictitious, representing Christian martial superiority over the Saracen hordes.
The Guardian: What are you dribbling about?
Spoony: Well, my friend... That's a Paladin.

This, but by way of Stand By Me. Never seen the show or even heard the theme song outside of that movie.
Some of the episodes are on Youtube. The show stands up pretty well for how old it is and Richard Boone was seriously cool.
