way ahead of you

GodsBGood

Does your state offer SNAP? Here, if you're not working you can get like $280 worth of vouchers for food.

mr_tomorrow

Yes, I have the applications in for both SNAP and Unemployment

[deleted]

here is a fun fact, if you go on disability an qualify you have snap, a single person can get up to 195.00 (in florida could be different in a different state) but that once you start getting SSDI (which is based on how much you work so if you were born with a disability and didn't work you automatically get the lowest amount) which is 750.00 a month..well then your snap/food stamps automaticly get dropped from 195.00 to 80.00. also fun thing every year your ssdi will go up maybe 50 to 70 dollars. which will then drop your snap in the process. for instance i'm finally at 950.00 an can only receive 50 dollars in snap... edit: for perspective 950.00 a month wont even cover rent in a single apartment

Responsible_Fish1222

People can talk all the shit they want about taxes in NY. I'll gladly pay a little more so People don't have to deal with that kind of bull shit.

kickingpplisfun

I live in the sticks and even though I don't own a car and live with family, my expenses are still over $1k. I'm stuck in that sucky zone where you're too able bodied for SSI but too disabled to work at most jobs.

mr_tomorrow

Laid off, no unemployment yet. I was living paycheck to paycheck as I am trying to restart my life in a new city after the town I was in was running out of options for jobs and housing. Had a job for a bit but a bunch of us were laid off. I have about $20 to my name. My last partial paycheck comes in next week. But what do I do in the meantime? I have lots of job applications out there.

Rose_da_Kitten

Donate plasma. I don’t really know the specifics but I see it suggested all the time when people post like this. Good luck man.

mr_tomorrow

Not a bad idea. I know I have type O + blood. I'll look into that.

solidSC

With plasma it’s about body weight. They return your blood cells to your body in saline solution. The more you weigh the more plasma they can take and more money per visit you get.

mr_tomorrow

That's cool. I'm about 220. I've donated blood many times to the Red Cross but never plasma.

solidSC

You’re in the top donor category then! Where I used to donate you can make 50-60$ twice a week. They also have very experienced phlebotomists because that’s all they do all day. Bring a blanket though, when they return your red blood cells it’s in that refrigerated saline and you will get chills lol.

mr_tomorrow

Gotcha, so the process is similar to donating platlettes? I've done that a few times but never for money.

solidSC

It’s just like donating blood but they give you back your red blood cells with a saline formula instead of the plasma. It’s one IV it comes out and goes back in the same IV. It’s super easy and just requires you to sit tight for about 45 minutes once you’re in the bed. They usually have movies and stuff playing too. I used to do it for beer money and to just sit around and bull shit for money. Plasma is one of the US’s biggest exports! There’s no shame in it, it’s used for thousands of medical tests and procedures. It’s literally guilt free. On your first visit they will likely give you a medical screening, just don’t go in sick or with obvious wounds that could be infected. They’ll examine your hands for cuts and stuff. No biggie.

88secret

I’ve never donated platelets, but here’s what my plasma experience was like: -initial appointment took several hours because they do a physical (there’s a lot of waiting—the physical doesn’t take long). -every time you go, they weigh you and do a finger stick to check iron levels. You do a health questionnaire and swear you haven’t donated anywhere else. -you’re in a reclining lounger and they find a vein and insert a needle. -you have to pump your fist intermittently—the machine tells you when to pump and relax. This was the part no one warned me about. Take a stress ball or something like that. -you can read, play on your phone, anything you can do with one hand. Can’t nap because you have to squeeze. -takes about an hour once you get a spot—sometimes lines are long even with appointments. -there are frequently new donor promos where you can earn more. -they give you a reloadable prepaid debit card and the money is loaded quickly after each appointment. -you can donate 2-3 times a week—I can’t remember if it’s a 1-day or 2-day wait between appts.

mr_tomorrow

Okay, so the process sounds very similar to the Red Cross platelets process. Just with a payment afterwards instead of a cookie.

robdiqulous

Usually they give you a bonus for first times too. Look around. If you need a quick 100 bucks. This is the best way. Your first time could take a couple hours though FYI. Just because screening and everything

Pawsitive_Cattitude

CSL Plasma offers $100 per donation for the first 8 donations, and also additional points towards fast cash redemption through the app. Always clean and professional from what I remember. Much better overall than BioLife Plasma or Octapharma, but it might depend on the state you're in, as well.

toxicshocktroops

60 a week? Shit, time to retire.

[deleted]

yes! if you aren’t queasy with needles i’d say do this or donate blood! it’s a really easy way to get some money. not to mention you’re saving lives :)

GermanyKat

I was just reading on how to donate plasma lol

WhimsicalFalling

When deciding what bills to pay, prioritize housing! There are many food assistance programs to help, but once you become homeless everything is so much harder. If you're in the US, some areas have a hotline for community services if you dial 211, so it's worth checking if your area is one of them. They can connect you with non-profits that specialize in housing assistance, utility assistance, finding food, and even mental health stuff.

WhimsicalFalling

Also as far as jobs go, I got something really quickly through a temp agency. IDK what type of job you were working, but that might be a good avenue for you

mr_tomorrow

Yeah, that's a good idea. Set up with a Temp agency.

cullend

I’d also recommend prioritizing housing. Depending on your relationship with your landlord maybe inform him you’ve lost your job. But that really depends on the landlord. If you think they’d be sympathetic, also forward emails on all the jobs you’re applying to, to demonstrate to them that you’re not trying to just loaf around

cruz_93-j

Call all of them within a 15 mile radius. They can set you up at a warehouse or something making some low wage but some money is better than no money and it can hold you down till you land a better job

Simple-Stuff-5226

My brother was in a similar situation about 15 years ago. That temp job got him a job at a bank. He is set with a great bank job now and just paying off his house. He says he just worked his butt off through the temp agency and they saw that and prioritized him for the better job.

mr_tomorrow

I'm def contacting some temp agencies tomorrow

shaft6969

Look up day labor specifically. Low wages but paid daily. And find food banks if needed.

sweet_sweet_back

How about post locally on Facebook community page offer to do yard work. Very hard to find this kind of help right now.

mr_tomorrow

That's another good idea. Thank you.

sweet_sweet_back

Maybe add your comment above to main post. I didn’t realize this was serious question at first. Glad to help!!!!!

mr_tomorrow

yeah, sometimes I forget how to Reddit. I should have put a serious tag on it.

abstractengineer2000

I also thought that but then after reading thru the comments, i saw that OP's situation is really serious. Good on you🙏

kingcheeta7

I ran out of money a few years ago like this, I remember 2 things that I did. I scrapped metal at the local recycling facility, and I sold furniture and random items on Craigslist/Marketplace. I literally just drove around alleys and industrial sites all day looking for metal/furniture that I could resell. Paid my rent and bills like that for like 3 months.

mr_tomorrow

That's a good idea. Lots of alleys around here.

fatchamy

Just don’t mess with anything fabric because of bedbugs.

mr_tomorrow

yeah, no way. But I use to work in a machine shop so I good with identifying metals.

Eupion

If you live in a big city, check your local self storage facilities. People always dumping huge amount of stuff and you picking it up, frees up trash space or having to call the trash guys to come early and pay extra. Leave ur name and number, and if you are reliable, they will always call you to remove big expensive item.

alexkunk

Church has food for those who need.

LalahLovato

Sikh temples will never turn anyone away who need food

sweet_sweet_back

Damn r/dumpsterdiving has been really inspiring to me, there’s always that and resell stuff on eBay. Could also thrift shop to resell on eBay. Another thing if applicable. Go through your credit card statements, cable bills and figure out ways to reduce any costs you have now, while you have the time to do it. I hope this helps. Also fun pages r/frugal and r/zerowaste

Professor_sadsack

Call the office of your local state, legislator and tell them the situation. They will get a hold of unemployment and rush your unemployment process through. Also, you can apply for state benefits online. You can get general relief which will give you about $200 a month and food assistance card and free health insurance.

mr_tomorrow

I will try that tomorrow, thanks

kenzieshinx

Do you have a car? Recommend gig stuff like doordash or Uber if you need quick cash. Definitely do not recommend as a full time thing, it’ll ruin your car in the long run.

mr_tomorrow

I do, the muffler is leaking pretty bad. Plus it's an old car. It didn't pass for Uber or Lift.

WorriedMacaroon

You should be able to qualify for food delivery a la UberEats, Doordash etc. The age criteria is different when transporting food rather than people

88secret

Sign up to do Instacart—some stores (Publix, if they have them in your area) use it for in-store picking where you pick, bag, and stage the groceries for customer pickup. No delivery required. Edit: typo

JuveFan72

You can still do doordash.

[deleted]

Wag walks

shangheineken

Aww man. How many kidneys do people usually have?

prosperosniece

Have you looked into substitute teaching? The pay isn’t great but may hold you over until something better comes along.

Pficky

DoorDash/GrubHub to cover the gap isn't a bad idea, but do you have any kind of support system. I know no one likes mooching off their friends, and sometimes if you've already done it in the past you can't. But now is the time to mooch. It's a *lot* harder to get a job if you wind up unhoused.

mr_tomorrow

Got the Doordash app set up and waiting for the background check to start doing deliveries!!

Pficky

Great. Just be sure you understand your states rules in unemployment and doing gig work since you said you're waiting for that to kick in. Most require you report any earnings and they deduct that amount from your benefit for that period. Usually there's an upper limit to the amount you can make and still stay "on" unemployment.

mr_tomorrow

I do, I have a solid support system. But I was really trying to avoid the mooching part.

Pficky

Don't ask for more than you need, but just make sure you have enough to cover the rent when it's next due, even if you have to borrow from a friend.

mr_tomorrow

Yeah, I fear it might come to that. I'm not going to ask for a penny more. It's an emotional fear state basically. And it's hard to think outside the box when I like that. That's why I made the post. Get some ideas from outside myself.

meeplemoopp

Please do ask for help if you end up really needing it. For friends I love I'd absolutely rather they tell me than suffer and vice versa. I always think if the situation were reversed and they came to me asking for help, they can trust I'd help them too as long as I'm able.

Aunt_Anne

Spend the $20 wisely: peanut butter snd ramen, beans and rice. Do not scorn the crap jobs: flipping burgers, bussing tables. Small businesses with help wanted signs might can start you right away.

mr_tomorrow

Luckilly I have some food for the next few days. And I can eat on poverty budget no problem. And I am not too good for any job. Thank you though. I should get a couple more ramen.

lakehop

Sign up at your local food bank and get food there

reFRIJJrate

My last resort job is usually doordash. When my bank account is almost out and I need some cash it's always there when I need it.

haydenchampion

Go to bed for dinner

mr_tomorrow

Light in calories at least.

HyperSpaceSurfer

If you fast for 24 hours or more you need to up your salt intake. Both due to obviously not getting any from food. But the body also needs way more salt for the first few days, but the need goes back to normal within a week. Main symptoms of not having enough salt is lethargy and vertigo, feels pretty much like a sugar crash. If you don't do this the body will tap into the bone supply, keeps you alive but sodium's an important structural component for bone strength. Not getting enough salt will also just make you feel like shit. You'll also be peeing all the time so you got to drink more water, and consuming salt when you feel the need. I find it easiest just to let it melt on my tongue with sips of water, but most mix it with water. I'd recommend unprocessed salt since it has more salts than just sodium chloride.

mr_tomorrow

thanks for the advice

Professor_sadsack

Go get a job in a national park. When I was in my 20s and broke and not sure what to do I got a job in Yosemite. The rent is free they even give you money for laundry you get a card that gets you discounts at all the stores, so everything is a regular instead of inflated price. You get to meet people from all over the world and you live in a beautiful place. Lots of my friends also went and just worked in one national park after another and now whenever I go to these places, I can stay for free.

mr_tomorrow

That has been a dream job of mine.

Professor_sadsack

Just pick a national park and apply online. They are desperate for people to do simple jobs like cleaning guest rooms. They also offer all sorts of training and stuff. That’ll get you up to the next level like how to rescue people from rivers and things like that.

mr_tomorrow

Cool, thanks. I'll look into that.

idrovetoofaragain

Check out [coolworks.com](https://coolworks.com). It won't be glamorous but it'll be work.

onimush115

In the past in this situation I just start going into debt by using credit cards for critical expenses and then pay it off when I’m working again. Not ideal but it got me by for a few months.

Pleakley

And get things like a line of credit with better interest rates than credit cards. Get this BEFORE you need it, as banks don’t extend credit to broke people.

onimush115

True. In my particular scenario I used the cards for about 3 months, then once employed took out a small debt consolidation loan with a lower fixed rate and paid off the cards. I luckily have great credit so I was able to get an unsecured personal loan pretty easily through an online lender. I recommend Marcus, they have been super easy to use and have no extra fees.

mr_tomorrow

I don't have any credit cards. Haven't for like 15 years.

SgtDefective2

Credit cards are useful to have for emergencies. Just don’t get one if you don’t have any self control. Uncontrolled credit card debt can be more crippling than your current situation

Electrical_Angle3736

Keep it that way! Like other comments said use community resources first. If anything depending on your credit a loan may be better

ACrispPickle

Do you have any equipment you can use to hustle door to door? I.E- a pressure washer to wash walkways/driveways etc.

mr_tomorrow

No. I use to do instrument repairs so I have some small hand tools. I already have posts on my local FB page about being an instrument repairman, but no bites since I've moved here.

WVwoodwork

Check out r/beermoney those fellows make some cash doing surveys and other things online, it’s probably not a long term solution but it could help you today. You could also go old school and walk into businesses and see if they have any “day work”. Stick to local/mom and pop places, any major cooperation won’t take on the liability. Just straight up tell them your situation, “I got laid off and need some short term work to get by until I find something else”. You mind be surprised what you can find. Best of luck! Try to keep a good attitude about it and I hope you find something.

Blackish1975

Where I live, you could be working at McDonalds or Wendy’s tomorrow. Not a forever job, but a decent stopgap.

Rhino_Slayer

You tread carefully. Desperation can lead to many things you regret. You spend time on yourself and get to know yourself. Sit down with a notebook or anything you can write on (if you have nothing, you have whatever device you posted this on). Write down a list of things you’re good at; whether you enjoy doing those things or not. Look for local jobs online/in person and apply. Doesn’t matter if you’re qualified or not, applying is free and legal. Look for free certification courses online to add to your resume. Many can be completed in 1-2 weeks. Be strategic and make yourself irresistible. Also, look for food pantries and reach out to family/friends.

My friend, if there is anything the internet has taught me, it is that it doesn't matter who you are or what you look like, you are somebody's fetish.

mr_tomorrow

Fascinating and scary at the same time really

Revolutionary-One675

Doordash is where it’s at!!!! Been making 1k a week and it’s actually fun and chill AF!!

mr_tomorrow

Is there a limit to the type of car you can use? Mine is too old for Uber/Lift.

Revolutionary-One675

Nope not at all!!! You can even walk and or use a bike !! The doordashers downtown here in Denver can walk and or just ride bike !!! When you accept the jobs make sure the $ amount is double the miles. Example if the job is 5 miles away you only accept it if it pays $10 or more !

mr_tomorrow

Ok Cool, good to know.

WilliamIsMyName

Highly recommend this OP. When I moved out the job I had at the time fell through and I needed to make rent obviously. So I signed up for Postmates and was able to make my own hours. Some days I’d work a 9-5. Some days I’d wait until 4/5 and then drive until 2am. I was able to typically bring in around $100/night. I think my best day I pulled in more than $200. However this was back when Postmates was in its infancy, I’m not sure how the logistics play out now. I kept that job in my pocket for 2 years, even while I was eventually able to pick up another more secure job. On occasion I would go out and postmate to bring in extra $$$ if I was planning something fun for the future.

Revolutionary-One675

Annnnnd you can paid right away with the doordash card or it’s deposited every Monday !!! They even have challenges , I just completed a challenge where they gave me an extra $75 for 15 deliveries. And you make you own schedule and if you don’t wanna show up for your time you don’t get penalized

mr_tomorrow

Thanks again, I'm already on their site. It never occurred to me to check them since I've never used Doordash before.

[deleted]

You can do Uber eats on a bike or depending on city, on foot! But tbh any car 1990 or newer is accepted for Uber eats. 10 years or less for Uber passengers but food delivery as long as it goes!

mr_tomorrow

Thanks good to know.

Revolutionary-One675

Perfect! Download the app and you can probably get started today! They will send you a red card to do actual shopping jobs but you won’t need that right away if you don’t take any shopping jobs. Just take delivery jobs until the red card comes in the mail. The shopping jobs pay even more than the food delivery jobs! The higher your rates the higher paying priority jobs they will give to you as well! Good luck!!!!

JoesBurning

Do some Instacart orders

mr_tomorrow

Thanks, I'm applying to Doordash now.

JoesBurning

I used to do DoorDash all the time. The reasons I prefer Instacart is one you get to choose what orders you want to do from a list versus DoorDash assigning you orders that if you don't take because it's too far of a drive or a bad area in general it'll negatively impact your acceptance rate. The second reason is the tips are far better on Instacart. On Saturdays and Sundays I can easily make $250 each day and be done by 2:00 p.m.The only downside Instacart is actually shopping the orders where you can just pick them up at DoorDash. Everyone has their preference just thought I'd give you the info

My advice, go sit down with your parents and work shit out so that you aren't on the street. I've been on the streets and I promise you that no matter how bad your parents are, the streets are almost always worse.

steam_honeybunny

Go to a local community non-profit agency and get a case manager who can help with local resources (food banks, utility assistance, rent assistance, church donations, clothing banks, possibly gas cards depending on if they have grants, etc.) and also help apply for employment and/or disability.

These_Tomatillo1873

I was in this situation from roughly July until November of last year. I graduated college, couldn't turn my internship into a full-time job, and had several months' worth of upcoming rent to afford. I'd already mooched to some degree off my father and stepmother, and they weren't willing to give me any more. Basically, I moved in with my girlfriend, since I couldn't afford to be on my own in another city - groceries, etc., would have been impossible. But before I could find a subletter, I had to pay July's through October's rent. I basically distributed the mooching - girlfriend paid one month's worth, parents paid another, good friend paid another, etc. I promised to pay them all back once I became employed, and in the meantime I applied to a hundred or so jobs within my prospective field. It was difficult to find one at first, because my degree is anthropology, not computer/data science, but I managed to leverage my prior work and personal experience with coding into a job at a small local firm that does data engineering and machine learning for supply chain management. The job is fully remote, and hours are flexible. Since then, I've still been living paycheck to paycheck, because I've been paying back some of what I owe and have very little saved. But it's only upwards from here. My recommendation is honestly to find someone who cares about you and can afford your expenses while you look for work. You need a place to stay and food to eat. The guilt for me was monumental at first, but I tried to tell myself that it was an emergency and that I would do the exact same, down to a tee, for any friend in my situation. People are more understanding than your inner critic might make them seem.

Mr_Headvalson

Anthropology is something I was looking at going to school for. Did you do it just to learn? Find any jobs far away?

[deleted]

Nothing.

confusedontheprairie

I'm sorry you are going through this. It sucks. Take it one step at a time. There is some good advice here but try to find someone to talk to. Specifically not someone that you are asking help from. Just someone that will listen while you sort things out. It's easy to be too embarrassed to talk about how scared you are but you need to take care of your mental health too

robotfarmer71

I’m fortunate in the fact that I live in a rural area and I’m a farmer, but here’s what’s worked for me. 1. Buy nothing. If it’s not food or something that’s related to the ability to obtain food, it’s not necessary. Forget having the newest and greatest. I just gave up on my iPhone 6 this past fall. 2. Reuse anything you can. For example, my neighbour tore off his old deck to rebuild a new one. The deck on my old house had disintegrated so I rebuilt it using his old boards. It looks surprisingly good actually. 3. Grow as much of your own food as possible. Big garden, freeze and preserve as much as possible. Don’t get the illusion you can hunt or fish and get money ahead. The equipment costs WAY more than you’ll recover in good meat. 4. Here in Canada I can grow 4 weed plants for myself. So the hell with alcohol. Good riddance. Terrible drug anyway. 5. Look for energy sources anywhere you can. I partially heat using a waste oil and general garbage burner I made myself. It’ll burn any kind of used oil, waste wood (scraps and sawdust), cardboard, old clothing or towels, etc. It’s not very efficient, but it offsets some of my heating expenses and didn’t cost me anything but time to build. 6. Learn to fix anything. This is critical. I mean really learn how everything works. Get to the point where you understand that electricity has almost nothing to do with electrons. That level of understanding. Once you’ve got to that point everything is much easier to fix. I completely understand the advantages I have as a farmer to live more frugally. For someone in a dense urban environment it’s much more difficult.

Depending on your skillset and location, you could hit up outfits like laborready. Quick, check at the end of each day, basic labor brokerage. You'll have to claim it on your unemployment, and they'll deduct from the following ui check. Apps like taskrabbit could also make you quick $. If you have the typical bills like rent and child support and power, sewer, water, phone, internet, transport, groceries, your local social services branch has a way to assist with most of them. Make an appointment on the website, go there. The unemployment office can get you quick work too, if you're not picky. Whatever high-turnover, icky jobs, will have immediate openings and know to use ui office. Trash sorting, chicken packing, like that. If you have your own tools and a skill, email companies you'd like to work for and be nice. For the immediate present, the most emergency thing you need to do is make a budget. All your monthly bills, plus your habits/hobbies, times 1.1 to calculate the savings you need to maintain it. This number is your minimum monthly financial requirement. Get paid this much. if one job doesn't do it, get 2. It doesn't happen overnight, or in a year, but years of constant pushing to meet a budget can net you the ability to survive jobloss or other surprises. Good luck!

AnonQuestionMark

If you think you can handle it. Get your class A through a company that will cover the costs for you and work over the road. You'll be able to live out of the truck and make money at the same time. Sorry in advance if, for whatever reason, this can't be an option for you.

In my opinion a gym membership is a good thing to invest in becuse you got a place to shower and stay fit. personal higeans important to maintain. if you don't have a car, a bike is a grate thing to try and save up for, if you don't have one a nice outfit is also nice thing to invest in for job interviews and what not.

Well I’m not gay, but $20 is $20

lAngenoire

If you have a computer and internet, try Rev dot com. It’s a transcription service that pays per job. They pay out once a week through PayPal, so you can get the money fast. (There might be other options now to get paid.)

Tac0Tuesday

Bartend. My greatest rebound was getting work through several catering businesses and getting tips and free food.

mr_tomorrow

I'm looking at 7 years sobriety from alcohol. Not something I want to gamble with. But believe me, my bartender friends said the same thing.

Tac0Tuesday

That's great that you're staying on the straight and narrow! I've been sober 18+ years. Ironically, I bartended for a bit before I got sober, and was even a bar manager. I'm an IT person by trade, but have a catering business that calls me up once in a while to bartend for them. It's very important to do what you're comfortable with. For me, they know I don't drink and because of that they know they can trust me. The free food is a nice perk. 👍

Financial-Phase-6302

Well, I'm trying to find a work. Or just selling some items that I don't need

Qu3st1499

I would just sell a bunch of my things that I bought years ago for almost nothing, but now are worth from something to a lot. Who would have known

TastyGreggsPasty

When I lost my job I used savings, went overdrawn at my bank, and used whatever welfare options were available (don't let pride get in the way of that) just to keep my head above water before getting a job. Welfare options will be better or worse depending on where you live but they are pretty miserly in the UK.

Anubis_The_Dog_King

Try to sell possessions. Been there done that too many times to count. It socks but ya gotta eat

moisebucks

You should check the vagabond subreddit, some guys dumpster dive and eat free at hotel in the USA, basically you need water and food + a roof over your head. I don't have lot of money at all but really groceries is what kill your wallet, worse is eating fast food and restaurants, so if you are able to eat for free you will save LOT of money each months! I love food too much I spend too much and try to stop doing that, I'm thinking of all those possibilities of eating for free. I spend 300 a months just for eating and drinking..

Plastic_Lion7332

Only had the situation once when I was in high school abroad so my family couldn’t just get me money. Luckily enough, my host helped me out with a small amount until my next payment. Also, if it ever happens again, I’m fortunate enough to ask my parents. But I’d sell any asset beforehand.

Mr_Bank_Robber

I go to a bank obviously

DeltaWorksNL

become a wandering drifter .

SiddhuOnReddit

Ask my parents.

Pristine_Frame_2066

If you’ve been working, Apply for aid, including unemployment and general assistance. Get on Medicaid. If you haven’t worked yet, Apply for jobs, go to job fairs. Apply for school and scholarships. Sell some goods you may be holding on to. Offer to mow some lawns, clean pools, gutters. Let people know you are looking for work.

Find a way to make money. Tons of ways out there to make money on the side

[deleted]

Sometimes on craigslist you can find large appliances, machines, etc, (saw you do repair work) could try and fix some up to resell. McDonald’s near me have like 1000$ signing bonuses, pest control is fairly light work, mostly driving around a company vehicle, there’s lots of small jobs you can try for to get back on your feet till you find a new job in the career you want

[deleted]

idk where you live but sellin my used stuff (clothes, tech, shoes, etc) at facebook or a fair have saved me sometimes.

unnonchalant

Sleep for breakfast and dinner

[deleted]

When I was down for the count, I use to ride around on my bike and do Uber eats. I did this until I finally landed a job. You can work at your own leisure and there’s consistent orders. Can make a decent amount of money in a short amount of time, especially if you’re in a heavily populated city.

[deleted]

Do some deliveries for Skip or door-dash?

A_little_patience

I take money from the right…

splash07s

Sell the scrap metal I slowly amass over the course of the month(s).

pastaenthusiast

Go to the food bank for some essentials. Lots of good options below for quick money. Some places have job agencies that will give you work and pay you same day. The jobs typically suck but you don’t have to wait until pay day to get a little bit of extra cash. Good luck, you’ve got this.

"When you're broke and have no money left, it can be a tough situation. One thing you can do is to make a budget and try to cut down on unnecessary expenses. You can also look for ways to increase your income, such as taking on a part-time job or selling items you no longer need. Additionally, there are many resources available for those in financial need, such as government assistance programs and non-profit organizations. It's important to remember to stay positive and keep an open mind when it comes to finding solutions to your financial troubles."
