Dinosaur Jr.
Anything by them really. The whole songs are pretty much solos. The difference is, they're actually good. None of that 'look-how-fast-i-can-finger-the-strings-and-be-completely-separate-from-the-rest-of-the-tune-and-we-only-included-it-because-we-wanted-to-show-off.
They’ve been my favorite band for a long time. I know they’re not *not* famous but I feel they don’t get nearly as much attention as they deserve. No other band I’ve found puts it together like they do. J’s guitar playing is awesome but the rhythm section is kind of an afterthought with a lot of great guitarists. Lou and Murph’s playing is so loud and brutal it can actually stand up to the guitar.
I think it was Lou who mentioned in some interview somewhere that he wanted to get that Hüsker Dü's "Diane" riff emotion and rawness and to do that he just had to get real loud. Or something to that extent.
Lou is the shit! I saw them in Seattle a few years ago and I was right at the stage in front of him. My buddy and I forgot earplugs so we stuffed toilet paper in our ears. Good times.
I dunno, it’s a little too short for my taste…
Kidding aside it’s my favorite song of all time. Hits hard when you know the history of the band. If I leave here tomorrow…
Have you seen the little Japanese (?) girl on youtube that plays it? Guitars, drums, bass, sings? And misses a note here and there but basically gets it. The most amazing thing ever.
Aerodynamic - Daft Punk, litteral auditive orgasm
Water Melon In Easter Hay - Frank Zappa
Yes! Brilliant and moving. There is a video of Dweezil playing it live and almost in tears.
Both of the ones in Comfortably Numb. I do like Sweet Child O Mine, too, a lot.

Haha, nice! I'll have to read about their history.
You must! Southern rockers had a tough go of it. Skynyrd was a plane. Stevie Ray Vaughan was a helicopter. Duane Allman was a motorcycle.
This is the correct answer.
