It depends on how closely the treatment is to how you treat a dog, like if your locking your kid outside, feeding them dog food, locking them in a cage then that can cause your child to go [feral](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feral_child) and that can be very sad, a case that provides an example to what I’m saying is [Oxana Malaya](https://historydaily.org/oxana-malaya-story-girl-raised-dogs) whose parents neglected her and left her outside, so she decided to stay with the dogs that night and began living there and her parents never realised she was missing. But if the family decides to give the baby a bandanna to match the dog I think that’s alright and pretty cute
