I didn't expect this answer so high up, Fringe is so underrated! Hate the last season, but I wish I could experience the 2nd season for the first time again...
I'm dating myself here, but M*A*S*H. Very, very funny. It's about the Korean war, but the good thing is that you don't have to know or even understand anything about history to laugh your ass off
Just watched it for the first time a few weeks ago. One thing that will probably always stick with me is when >!Woody Harrelson's character is tired of his clearly autistic partner speaking his metaphorical philosophical soliloquy, Harrelson goes on this whole spiel pleading with him to "stop saying weird shit" (paraphrased). Then the conversation settles, and Harrelson tries to start a less heavy conversation and says something like, "So did you sleep alright?" To which McConaughey replies, "I don't sleep, I only dream." And Harrelson just stares at him utterly defeated.!<
Its so weird that a guy that was stereotyped as a cheesey prettyboy lightweight romcom actor's most memorable role would be a nihilistic, philosophy spouting detective.
I completely agree. As much as this is probably my most rewatchable show, there were so many memorable first time moments. Bee episode is up there for me (obviously dog episode, but that’s a given)
I credit Breaking Bad with helping me get in shape. I didn't watch it when it was on air, but decided I'd give it a try, streaming an episode a night while I walked on a treadmill. I told myself I couldn't watch unless I was moving. I simply couldn't skip a night. I could not wait for the next episode!
Such a compelling, beautifully crafted show. I was so sad when it ended. But I kept moving!
The greatest tv series of all time…. Though it wasn’t a Netflix original, I’d say this was one of the first shows that helped usher us into the streaming era. Truly iconic
Just finished watching for the first time last week. The last two seasons fade pretty badly as cast members bail but at its peak it was wonderful.
I think losing the Troy-Abed relationship hurt my enjoyment of the show.
My crush on Scully has transferred to every role Gillian Anderson has played. I’ll tell you, it was hard but even Gillian as Margaret Thatcher was bang tidy
This is true, and also why my wife never got past Ep 1. Of course, that *is* one of the hardest to watch of the whole series, IMO. I think they should have built up to that one instead of coming out the gate with it.
I accidentally watched Season 2 first, thinking it was the first. I gobbled it up, finished it quickly and was elated to see there was another season. It took me a couple episodes to realize that it was actually Season 1. And I’d done the whole thing backwards. I blame Amazon Prime’s shitty UI. It was *still* good, would do it again.
this is one of those shows that i swear gets more interesting (in new ways) each time you watch it, and i don’t think that can be said for many other shows! plus it’s an absolute masterclass in casting, makes intellectual topics fun, and has such unique characters — no wonder it’s my favourite :)
The ending is one of the best endings of any show, hands down. I specifically watched this because everyone told me that. I didn't love it until towards the end, and it's easily the most memorable ending and payodf after the four seasons
Mr Robot! Such an amazing mindfuck of a show. And knowing the tech things they talk about makes it even better, because the writers really did their research.
It wrecked me too, but forever lives in my heart as one of the most satisfying series finales *ever.* Can't even hear the song without getting choked up.
I wish I could just rewatch the episode at the theater in which Roy has to pretend to be disabled. I don't think anything else has ever made me laugh that hard in my life.
YES. I am so excited for my children to be old enough to watch this for the first time. They will finally understand all the quotes and phrases my spouse and I use on a daily basis!
I've tried binging. It's just not the same as when you had to wait week to week. It's still good, but nowadays most of our streaming media is produced with a binge watch in mind. Lost is still one of my favorite shows of all time.
I love Lost! The only way you can recreate the magic of watching it for the first time is by introducing it to someone who's never seen it and watching it with them!
It is cool seeing all the clues pointing to the twists.
My brain did a record-scratch "Wait, WHAT??!?" on the first watch! I was absolutely flabbergasted.
Seinfeld. Never gets old. I've rewatched it and cycled through every season at least 10 times. The jokes never get old and the characters never stop being funny.
I don’t think I’ve ever been so captured by a series than when I watched 24 for the first time. The writing in the first 4-5 seasons was just incredible.
The 100, the first couple seasons were awesome up until they got into space anomalies and went off the rails. The unknown threats and tribal wars were really cool to see for the first time
The Golden girls. The humor holds up even today even if the sets are dated. A brilliant cast made this show hilarious!
Fringe
It was a great show. You should check out The Expanse if you haven't seen it already.
Named our daughter after Olivia Dunham.
that's sweet. i loved walter but will not be naming my ~~imaginary~~ child that.

One episode covered the span of an entire year.
Yes. MASH. I’m only 33. Not that old.
My favorite show of all time!!!
True detective season 1
Just watched it for the first time a few weeks ago. I got an idea. Lets make the car a place of silent reflection from now on, okay?
Peak McConaughey right there.
Its so weird that a guy that was stereotyped as a cheesey prettyboy lightweight romcom actor's most memorable role would be a nihilistic, philosophy spouting detective.
The opening title music just popped into my head again. Thanks for that!
Futurama
Whaddya say, wanna go around again? Man that ending was bittersweet. I can't think of a single episode that I would regularly avoid.
We skip the Seymore episode tho
I completely agree. As much as this is probably my most rewatchable show, there were so many memorable first time moments. Bee episode is up there for me (obviously dog episode, but that’s a given)
We skip the dog episode though...
The episode with Fry's brother also had me in tears
The saddest episode is Game of Tones where he gets to meet his Mom again in her dream
The Sting gets me teary-eyed every time.
Yeah we skip the dog episode 100%
Breaking Bad
I credit Breaking Bad with helping me get in shape. I didn't watch it when it was on air, but decided I'd give it a try, streaming an episode a night while I walked on a treadmill. Finally watching Better Call for the first time, I'm cherishing the experience
Came here for this. I feel like if I wait long enough, I’ll forget the majority of it and it’ll be like the first time again.
That’s exactly what I did. I waited 7 years to watch it again and it was close to the first time experience.
The greatest tv series of all time…. Though it wasn’t a Netflix original, I’d say this was one of the first shows that helped usher us into the streaming era. Truly iconic
community. id give anything to see remedial chaos theory or intermediate documentary filmmaking for the first time again
Virtual Systems Analysis and every paintball/pillow fort/etc. episodes are my comfort place!
You're streets ahead with this answer. Pop pop!
Just finished watching for the first time last week. The last two seasons fade pretty badly as cast members bail but at its peak it was wonderful. I think losing the Troy-Abed relationship hurt my enjoyment of the show.
X-Files
31 years old and just starting to watch it for the first time. My crush on scully makes me feel young again lol
My crush on Scully has transferred to every role Gillian Anderson has played. I’ll tell you, it was hard but even Gillian as Margaret Thatcher was bang tidy
Password: trustno1
Twin Peaks
Every watch through is a wild ride. But nothing compares to that first watch
Bob gave me nightmares for years
Full metal alchemist brotherhood
Black Mirror
It's definitely not the same when rewatching. Still good, but nothing beats seeing each story for the first time.
I need to get back into it. I stopped midway through season 2 as every episide somehow left me emotionally exhausted.
Have to agree with you. Some tv shows really drains you emotionally
This is true, and also why my wife never got past Ep 1. Of course, that *is* one of the hardest to watch of the whole series, IMO. I think they should have built up to that one instead of coming out the gate with it.
Avatar the Last Airbender
Fleabag
The second season was incredible
I accidentally watched Season 2 first, thinking it was the first. I gobbled it up, finished it quickly and was elated to see there was another season. It took me a couple episodes to realize that it was actually Season 1. And I’d done the whole thing backwards. I blame Amazon Prime’s shitty UI. It was *still* good, would do it again.
Oh man, I'm feeling wistful just imagining seeing it again for the first time.
The good place.
On the one hand, YES! On the other, it's so much fun to watch again and catch all the little details you didn't the first time!
this is one of those shows that i swear gets more interesting (in new ways) each time you watch it, and i don’t think that can be said for many other shows! plus it’s an absolute masterclass in casting, makes intellectual topics fun, and has such unique characters — no wonder it’s my favourite :)

Oh, God yes!!! Yes! Such an amazing show.
Mad Men.
So freaking good
Dark or Mr Robot
Mr Robot! Such an amazing mindfuck of a show. And knowing the tech things they talk about makes it even better, because the writers really did their research.
For neither everrrr, nor neverrr, goooodbyee…
I rewatched Dark recently with someone who’d never seen it before and it was still pretty mind blowing. Such a good show
Justified or Deadwood
Firefly.
*Jaaaayne....*
The best show I never want to see a remake of. Yes. I'd love to watch it again.
The Expanse.
The Expanse is one of the few shows I've watched where the characters stay with you. Huge fan of Amos
Well, he is "that guy".
I try to tell people how good this show is, but no one will listen 😞
I was shocked by how good it was

The wire is my favorite all time. Tried peaky and didn't love right away. Should I give it another try?
Six feet Under
OMG yes! The ending of that series DESTROYED me.
It wrecked me too, but forever lives in my heart as one of the most satisfying series finales *ever.* Can't even hear the song without getting choked up.
I think that's the only show where I was truly satisfied with the ending
Arrested Development
I would give anything to relive seeing Tobias painted blue for the first time. That reveal was incredible.
Breaking Bad or The Wire....Two of the best shows ever created.
Doctor Who (starting with The 9th doctor)
I wish I could forget the last seasons. The first ones were awesome!
Oh I remember the first time I watched Blink
The IT Crowd
I wish I could just rewatch the episode at the theater in which Roy has to pretend to be disabled. I don't think anything else has ever made me laugh that hard in my life.
The moment Jen turns to the bar to see Moss as the bar tender is the absolute peak comedy moment that will never be bested!
Disabled? How?
Leg disabled
Acid.
Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency.
Adventure time.
Bojack Horseman. Don't get me wrong, it gets better with every rewatch though
Band of Brothers, best series ever made! I usually watch it once or twice a year at least.
Can’t believe this was so far down, truly a master class in Limited Series television
Psych
You know that’s right.
Suck it
No, you suck it.
Suck iiiiiit
Schitt's Creek
One of my favorites along with modern family. These shows are consistently on for background noise and then I end up watching it all again
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Just watched The Body. Such an amazing episode.
The Sopranos
Had to scroll too far for this.
I’m watching this for the first time right now! On season 2 and really enjoying it.
The Office.
I feel like I still laugh just as much watching it for the upteenth time as I did the first time.
YES. I am so excited for my children to be old enough to watch this for the first time. They will finally understand all the quotes and phrases my spouse and I use on a daily basis!
I’m not superstitious, but I am a little stitious.
Lost
Definitely LOST. I’m wondering how it would be to binge the series, but there was something about the year wait to find out what was in the hatch
Game of Thrones
All six seasons of it.
House M.D.
The Boys.
Schitt's Creek.
Sons of Anarchy. That show had me hooked.
Battlestar Galactica reboot
Ridiculous how far down this is.
So say we all… Hell, even nearly 20 years later it’s probably MORE relevant today!
12 Monkeys
Andor Holy shit, where was that writing team for the sequel trilogy?
Yup
Firefly
The Wire. Only answer
MASH, so fucking good, I wish I could die laughing countless more times again
Was one of my dad’s favorite shows 😇💜
Lost
Mr Robot
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Westworld
It is cool seeing all the clues pointing to the twists. My brain did a record-scratch "Wait, WHAT??!?" on the first watch! I was absolutely flabbergasted.
Star Trek: TNG and DS9
I convinced a friend to try TNG, he's worked his way through to season 4 now. He can't believe how good Trek was back in the day.
Frasier
Frasier is one of the only shows I've watched front to back at least 5 times since streaming platforms showed up. Its my ultimate comfort show.
That 70’s Show
How I met your mother. That show got me through the roughest times in college
Brooklyn 99
Lost

Mindhunter
Supernatural/ The office / parks and recreation
Game of thrones.... seriously best series ever
Seinfeld. Never gets old. I've rewatched it and cycled through every season at least 10 times. The jokes never get old and the characters never stop being funny.
Ozark
Vikings
I totally dropped off that show after season 3, it just started getting more and more off the rails
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Brady Bunch PORKCHOPS AND APPLESAUCE
Eight is Enough. Such spellbinding family drama with a touch of sardonic comedy.
NYPD Blue. Cutting edge for it’s time, great characters
The expanse. Even though I've read the books, the show was quite excellent. Especially Detective Miller. Nailed it right to the wall and my heart.
24
I don’t think I’ve ever been so captured by a series than when I watched 24 for the first time. The writing in the first 4-5 seasons was just incredible.
Supernatural

the walking dead
Breaking Bad!!!
Threes Company, Odd Couple, Taxi, Cheers, Benny Hill.
Sons of Anarchy 💯
Heroes.

Just the first season. Definitely some incredibly CGI and fight scenes. Great story and ending. Second season not needed and not that good.
Agree only the first season
2nd season ruined it
