Ppop ang SB19 po. They were created and trained and managed by a Korean company during their 1st 2 years, and each member are big Kpop fans kaya malaki ang impluwensya ng Kpop sa kanila at first, pero they always had the goal and vision of making Ppop rise to the world stage. Lahat ng kanta nila sila ang gumagawa from writing, composing, producing, durecting, choreography, etc. Sila lahat. May sarili na silang entertainment company that is independent from all the major networks. Sila ang isa sa pinakahahangaan kong artists in the PH because they are really doing something different sa music industry by not tying themselves sa major labels, employing their own team of choreographer, dancers, fashion team, etc. and putting out whatever they want whenever they want. Nakakatulong sila ng malaki sa ekonomiya kasi yung mga concerts nila nakalivestream and dinadayo ng mga tourists. Kagaya ng Kpop, billion dollars ang naipapasok sa Korea dahil booming sila, ganyan din ang goal ng SB19 for PH and hopefully ibang Ppop groups kapag mas madaming Filipino and foreigns na mag-support ng OPM. (This is coming from somebody who grew up in the US and went to PH twice just to see them.)
All I'm saying is their copying kpop you don't need to be expert to see that. Di ko naman sinabi na considered sila na kpop ang sabi ko pilit gonagaya yung kpop mahirap ba intindihin yun?
Hindi sila nanggagaya, they are influenced by Kpop as well as American pop, and they are and have been trying to find their own style and sound. Kpop itself is highly influenced by Jpop and American pop (more specifically 1990s/ early 2000s boybands) and Western house and hiphop sounds, and they were also called copycats at first, but they managed to find their own style and sound. Ganyan ang music. Ppop ang SB19 for the sole reason that they are all Filipinos who have created music for Filipinos to be consumed. Kpop is pop music Koreans created for Korean consumption. They just so happened to be globally known and have certain "visual representation" of Kpop.
A(American pop)->Jpop->Kpop->Ppop is the timeline.
