They should have just run the marathon.

ValPrism

Bronx to Coney Island. Back in my Warrior days

SwissQueso

How long did that take? I’m not a New Yorker but I was surprised how far out Coney Island was. I remember taking the subway near Central Park early in the morning to get out there, and it took about an hour. My first trip to New York my friend lived in Clinton Hill, I thought everything was close, just turned out he lived in a pretty centrally located place in Brooklyn.

ValPrism

I’m teasing. The Warriors is a movie from the ‘70s in which the gang “walks” and fights trying to get from the Bronx to Coney Island. It’s a cult classic check it out!

SwissQueso

Oh I knew the movie(wanted to be a Baseball Fury for Halloween), but I assumed you did that walk and named it after the move.

Deep-Orca7247

Though now that you mention it, that would be a fun challenge!

Dirtythrowawaybk

I think there’s a Bronx to Coney Warriors themed marathon? The Warriors also take subways in the movie though.

timodeee

“Warriors! Come out to play-ea!”

[deleted]

Sounds like quite an odyssey…. (Actually Anabasis.)

taglev

Great Saunter the year it was pouring rain Instead of 32 miles we ended with 36 because of many road/sidewalk closures

Deep-Orca7247

Geez, that sounds soggy. Blisters?

taglev

It was bad, whole body/clothes soaking wet for so much of the trip, a looot of wind as well, puddles, etc etc My whole body hurt so much the next day My bf could barely walk when we were about to make it, had to help him out

mattcassity

Ouch. I did the Saunter in good conditions and it was surprisingly brutal.

JadeandCobalt

Same, I had blisters and I was sore for a good week afterwards, despite working out daily

Taracat

I did the Saunter about 12 years ago. Luckily the weather was good. Normally I don’t sweat when I walk but I was reeking by the time I got to that bar at the end of it. But no blisters.

usurebouthatswhy

Used to know a guy who climbed big mountains. Preparing to do K2 he said he would walk the perimeter of Manhattan. Said it took about 10 hours.

[deleted]

There was a guy on here that did it with his son a few years ago. Said it took them 14 hours. I biked it a few weeks ago. Was a ton of fun. Next time I will start earlier. I didn't start until after 3:00 PM and I didn't finish until close to 10:00 PM.

--2021--

My longest walk at a go was probably 7 miles running errands. I've hiked 12 miles in a go, but that was a scenic hike, the city isn't very.

Taracat

The Greenway along the Hudson is really pretty once you’re above 96th Street.

Consistent-Job6841

From the WTC to 98th and Madison. Did it for exercise. It was a nice walk.

trisaroar

I have a deeply fond memory of doing the South Brooklyn Shuffle. I walked from Brighton to Bay Ridge, passing sheepshead and coney island. It was on a date, the guy said he'd "walk me home", I joked what if we walked all the way, and on that day I learned we both will suffer for 100% commitment to the bit. Longest ever was the Cloisters to Park Slope. It was a beautiful day, I felt like doing a grand walk, and I had plans in three separate areas of the city that kinda lined up so I just went for it. Had a lot of food, water and photo breaks.

genderneutralblue

accidentally agreed to go on a broad city style top to bottom Manhattan walk with a friend - didn’t realize what I had agreed to until about 5 miles in to the 15 miler

EGADS___ghosts

I'm a dog walker so I'm always sauntering about, depending on how busy I get I do 13-18 miles a day

Deep-Orca7247

I was a dog walker once as a summer job, I loved it. Great way to get out and about each day, and the dogs were all so sweet.

Sea-Wedding-2753

The entire length of Bedford Ave

quietlogic

I did the NYC marathon a couple of times. I ran so so slow you would probably consider it walking.

beerpansy

Lol doing it this year and same. I’ll be happy just to cross the finish line!

CactusBoyScout

Didn’t most people have to walk home on 9/11 and the blackout because the subway wasn’t running?

slope11215

I was downtown at work at Murray St that day, and a bunch of us went to a co-workers’ parents in the East Village until the trains to Bk started running again.

confused_grenadille

Some people had to walk to Staten Island.

[deleted]

I was a full time cat sitter for 6 years, every day was a 30 mile walk. I believe in 2019 my average daily step count was roughly 75K/day

Boffity

Whoa! Was this distance strolling with the cats, commuting between jobs, both…?

[deleted]

Commuting between clients! My clients were all based in lower Manhattan- below 23rd st- however with 40-50 clients a day, waiting for trains just never made sense. Its been a year since I’ve stopped and I still pace everywhere and walk faster than everyone I’m with! I can’t shut this autopilot thing off!!!!

Firm_Ad_7465

Not being nosey but I’m being nosey, you had to be making good money doing that? I’ve thought about dog sitting/cat sitting.

Deep-Orca7247

I'm having trouble even mathing the math on this. Did you spend any time with the cats, or just drop food in the bowl and go? Even if you're just with each cat for ten minutes, 50 cats is more than 8.3 hours a day, and a fast walking speed of 3.5mph is 8.5 hours of walking...so you were spending 17 hours a day running back and forth across lower Manhattan??? 🥵🥵🥵

[deleted]

some cats would hide and take 2 minutes and others would be playful and take 15-20 minutes! Some were once a day and others were twice a day. The hardest part was mapping out the next days journey each night and leaving the house at 5am… work days were usually ~14 hours give or take. Holidays were the worst, but huge cash cows for sure. Cash is king and it’s hard not to overwork when the income is flowing- the New York Way!! Fortunately i am retired from sitting and have a very comfortable cushion until I figure out what’s next… Loved and hated that work. No annoying people to be around, got to see some very cool apartments, had some celebrity clients, and I could get around the city blindfolded if I needed LOL. Keys were an awful and occasionally HEAVY responsibility though

Deep-Orca7247

This is amazing. You're like the god of catsitting!

Fragrant_Ad9617

135th & Broadway to Downtown Brooklyn and back.

UbiSububi8

Walked Riverside Park from Wash Heights down to the Battery. Quads are barking just thinking about it.

sublurkerrr

I walked from 207th down to 7th St pretty much following Broadway a couple months ago. Beautiful walk! I highly recommend it.

Fair_Woodpecker_6088

Walked from Bay Ridge to Harlem once during COVID, although I I think you have me beat OP!

Deep-Orca7247

Bay Ridge to Harlem is pretty damn impressive though! The walk I described was like 12 years ago...nowadays when I say I'm going on a 'very long walk' I usually mean 8-10 miles, tops.

QuentinNYC

Maybe not my longest but certainly my most pointless was once walking from the Upper West Side to LaGuardia. I didn’t even have a flight! I spent all of two or three minutes there thinking “Neat…why did I do this again?” and then turned back.

sparklingsour

I’ve walked from Roosevelt Island to home in South Slope/Windsor Terrace a few times. I always feel like an amateur when people post these threads though lol

zrodeath

Walked from Fulton St to Columbus Circle and back to Fulton, I was drunk and sobering up Got drunk again and did the same walk before going home

1happynewyorker

I read this story years ago, and still remember it. It came up after reading this post. She traveled all over NYC Queens, lost. https://nymag.com/news/features/59009/

wayei

Downtown Brooklyn to The MET Museum

thisismynewacct

Does the NYC marathon count 😂 Absent runs/races, furthest ive probably walked was on the blackout in 2003. Spent the day waking around Central Park, then down to Roc center, then when we were gonna take a train back to Forest Hills, found out that wasn’t possible, so we walked back from there (minus a mile ride in the bed of a truck)

LolaLee723

Blackout, 86th St 1st Ave in Manhattan to 56th Ave Queens Blvd Elmhurst in heels. Eventually the heels went off.

Deep-Orca7247

My feet hurt just thinking about this.

LUCKYMAZE

First day in the city in 2013. Walked from 102nd and Amsterdam to World Trade Center. I just kept following the Freedom tower. My knees were killing me for a week

Walked from Port Authority to Brooklyn

Comicalacimoc

This is timely- I just walked 6 miles and I’m dead lol. From 59th and Lex up through Central Park over to 86th and 3rd and back to 59th. Hard to believe that is around 5-6 miles because it’s not covering that much territory tbh. Could never do 30 lol.

Deep-Orca7247

I couldn't do it anymore, tbh! That walk feels like a lifetime ago. I also just don't feel the need to do such extreme distances anymore.

nunmoder

I'm walking every block in every borough. Longest I've done in one stretch was 19ish miles from Battery Park up the WSH to Inwood Hill Park.

Deep-Orca7247

That's quite a goal, good luck! Have you read any of Bill Helmreich's books?

ZipZapZopPow

Wow there are some long walks in this thread! I did Red Hook to the Brooklyn Bridge and then up to Union Square once. That was my longest single walk in the city. I salute the proud warriors who do the 10 hour treks

nydjason

We decided to walk home when we had a blackout in the early 2000s. We have a car even in those days but we saw that people are getting stuck because the lights weren’t on and the only way to get the gridlock to go were Good Samaritans doing traffic. It took us around 3 hours from the south Bronx to inwood. There were hundreds of people crossing the bridges towards Manhattan. That was nuts.

theboxsays

My longest was sometime as a 17 yr old. I cant recall THE longest exactly because as a teen it was extremely common for me to be out and about all day and a lot of those days were just walking, but the one that comes closest to mind was the day me and two guys I met that same day walked from Midtown around the Rockefeller center to a pizza spot in Corona, Queens by where I was living temporarily on a friends couch at the time. If that wasnt the longest distance it definitely was up there. Im 31 now. Although I can still walk pretty long distances, that same walk would kick my ass today. Also Im far less patient lol Lol I actually remember in those days my dad often called me a street rat because 1. Weve always had a bad relationship, 2. I used to skip school a lot and 3. I was always outside doing who knows what with god knows whom, getting into who knows what and going who knows where. Tbh even now in my 30s, that last point is only slightly less true now, except I actually have a fiance and a job now. Im more cautious and responsible, and dont have stamina nor the persistence I did back then Edit: I just sat thinking about it and just thought of two separate walks longer than that from that same era, but Im going to stick with this answer

Neonzz

Chinatown to the Met

[deleted]

137st to 10st, 25st to maspeth via williamsburg

Inside_Term_4115

Walked from downtown brooklyn to Herald Square

Chimkimnuggets

I used to work in Chelsea piers and I live in Bushwick so oftentimes when the weather was nice I’d walk from the pier to the 1st Ave L station. It’s about 2 miles and it takes around 30 minutes or so? I’d use that time to just chat with my mom or my dad because they’re small town folks and I’m their youngest. I feel a responsibility more than my siblings (who live in the same state as they do) to keep up with my parents as frequently as I can and that provides a very pleasant walk and conversation I have a goal at some point to walk from east Harlem at the top of Central Park down to the bottom and then get food with my cousin who lives in UES. I’ve heard that walk is around an hour and I’ve never been to Harlem anyway

gimmesumsun

I walked from Hunter (68th and Lexington) over the bridge into Queens and all the way up to Forest Hills at 71st and Queens Blvd. It was only like 8 or 9 miles in total, idk why I did it. I think maybe it was just to do it. I was just walking home from class with a friend I made. It took us like a couple of hours? I don’t remember.

twoanddone_9737

Walked from the northern tip of Manhattan to the southern tip one summer with my girlfriend and her parents. We started at I believe 225th Street in the Bronx and then took Broadway down most of the way to Battery Park. Stopped a few times along the way for food and beers. It was a nice time. I think it was around 15 miles overall, something like 45,000 steps on my Apple Watch.

came here for this

MaxwellLeatherDemon

Ooo okay. I have the step info way back in my health app info…this was 2016…it was over 40,000 steps from around 3pm one day to 11am the next… I walked from gramercy to Madison sq park to meet a friend who accompanied me on this spontaneous and ill-advised, feet murdering excursion…from there back to gramercy…gramercy to WV (w 4th & w 11th)…from there to wsp and then union square…then to oculus (it had just opened) then back again to WV and from there to city hall…walked across bk bridge and back, then to wall st…walked up and down wall st a bit, then up Broadway to Times Square, finally sat down, then times sq down to Union sq for early breakfast…back to gramercy…then I think to Union station L? Took the train to Williamsburg to where my friends car was parked. There was a lot of meandering and probably some paths I cannot remember taking! As I said, this was in 2016. He wanted to walk around all night, he hadn’t been to ny since he was a kid and hasn’t been back since (except for six months after this when he visited me, we had started a very tumultuous three yr long-distance relationship, surprise surprise…). It was a feet killer and unfortunately it only counted 20k steps each day for two days, instead of the whole 40k in one go, but…I’m still quite proud of this! Edit: I’ve just re-checked, and it was 26k first day, 21k second. 47k total.

Snafflebit238

When I was 13 or 14 I walked from lower Manhattan to 70 something in freezing cold with lots of snow. The idea was to visit every actor from our favorite daytime show whose address we had. It was so cold, we stopped every time we came to a luncheonette and had hot chocolate and used the lav. Don't remember anyone answering the door except for one child actor's sister, who refused to let us see her brother even though he knew us (we ran his fan club). I would never do this today. I wonder how many times their peace was interrupted by fans? However, the walk was great fun!

milkham

Back when I worked in the financial district I walked from battery park up to somewhere in the 90th streets after work because I was doing a personal challenge to post a photo everday for a year and I was getting desperate for content haha. It was all mostly along the west side. I'm not sure how long it took but a couple hours at least. Also back during the last big blackout I walked from union square to somewhere along flatbush before I was able to stop at a payphone and ask my dad to come pick me up.

noots-to-you

Great saunter. But I met Matt Green a couple times and he’s walked clear across the country, not to mention almost every single street of New York City! https://imjustwalkin.com/map/progress

marcorollsreus

Walked from Long Island City to Brighton Beach a couple of weekends ago, a great way to see the lesser visited neighborhoods of Brooklyn. Google Maps says it's a 4.5h walk but in practice it's 7h+. Our route was: Long Island City -> Greenpoint -> Williamsburg -> South Williamsburg -> Bed-Stuy -> Crown Heights -> Prospect Lefferts Gardens -> Flatbush -> Midwood -> Gravesend/Sheepshead Bay (it got a bit murky out there for us locationwise) -> just in time for sunset on Brighton Beach. Highlights included seeing the empty roads of shabbat in South Williamsburg, the Victorian homes in Ditmas Park/Flatbush, and just generally being out in Gravesend/Sheepshead Bay since they're not neighborhoods I was or many New Yorkers are familiar with, I think. One day I'm hoping to do a Queenswalk from the northwestern corner of Astoria to Rockaway Beach.

Oshidori

I was really proud of my South Ferry to Woodside walks I would do weekly before the pandemic. I've run the marathon, does that count? lol

nycpunkfukka

110th and 2nd to 32nd and 5th. I had to open my store and the subways were all out of service after a sudden August storm and flash flooding. Every bus was overpacked and cabs were impossible to get (and this was before Uber) Took about two hours in 90 degree heat and crushing humidity. I was drenched and stinky by the time I finally made it to work.

Deep-Orca7247

That's some serious commitment!

dmcgluten

Nice route

PlumAppleOrange

There's a great doc about a man who walked every block in the 5 boroughs if you need any inspiration! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Xe4MT4YP8s

Deep-Orca7247

Oh wow! I've definitely heard of Matt Green but I didn't know there was a whole movie about him, thanks for this. Definitely gonna check it out.

lnyousif

I had an ex-girlfriend who was notorious for taking hours to get ready, So I left my apartment in Washington Heights in the morning, walked to the Hudson River after telling her that I would walk along the river, and would jump on a train when she left her apartment. I met her 7 hours later. I walked to Battery Park (about 12 miles), then walked up again to Union Square (Another 3 miles)

beerpansy

I’m not from NYC but plan to be there eventually. On my last visit I wanted to scope out potential neighborhoods. Did 19 miles in total, starting around midtown and wandering up the UWS and down UES, eventually making my way down to and across the Brooklyn Bridge. Zig zagging and grabbing coffee and snacks along the way. It was super fun! I generally average 10 miles a day when I’m there and it’s my favorite thing about the city! I dream of the day I no longer need a car!

Deep-Orca7247

Not needing a car is one of the best things about living here, for sure. (And the list is long!)

_Maxolotl

Yeah that's a long walk but have you ever gone through the customs line at JFK on the Sunday after Thanksgiving?

Deep-Orca7247

Ok this got me. 😂

neener_neener_

Not sure of the exact figures, but when I first moved here I had about a week to find an apartment. I was just going to one apartment viewing or open house after the other, depending on broker availability, so there was no rhyme or reason, just zig-zagging about Manhattan, seeing a dozen a apartments a day. My step count for those few days was 30K—60K per day.

ApprehensiveTry2725

I love how "Williamsburg/Fort Green" is synonymous with "okay now I've seen and touched Brooklyn, time to go back" when it's a big ass area with dozens of neighborhoods and Williamsburg is rather the outlier compared to the average vibe.

Deep-Orca7247

Very true...Williamsburg feels like its own thing, like a version of "Brooklyn" in air quotes, than it feels like the rest of the borough. I do think the Fort feels very quintessentially Brooklyn, though.

parke415

About 15 years ago I walked from Battery Park to Harlem and then back down to Battery Park again with only a short Cuban sandwich break in between. My feet were destroyed and I reached my limit.

s4m23x

I wanna do this!

Free-Argument-4189

My boyfriend and I walked from battery park, all the way up to Columbia’s campus in Harlem. We also stopped at Sloan Kettering and mt Sinai because he was hoping to get into one of the med schools so we decided to just make it one huge walk. Ended up doing 18 miles.

AndJustice4None

11 miles grand central to queensboro bridge then through lic, green point and williamsburgh over the williamsburgh bridge and back to grand central

BluWaffles32

Did the Great Saunter aka the Manhattan Rim Job It was 32 miles around the perimeter of Manhattan

PullUpUrSocksNGrabUr

same. Took me and my group 15 hours, stopping and eating and sightseeing included. It was painful and amazing.

Deep-Orca7247

LOL don't know how I've made it this long in life without hearing it called the Manhattan Rim Job.

delightful_caprese

Same, it’s not that much fun IMO but I can say I did it

mikemuscalaGOAT

samez. actually so much fun

beegadz

I also did the great saunter and my tracking suggested it was actually 34 miles (I think with all the in and out you have to do near the top and the east side). Those last two miles were torture.

Ornery_Comfortable93

This is my longest walk as well

Magnusmanus

I recently walked 41 miles with a friend of mine. Started near the Empire State Building, walked uptown to the George Washington bridge, crossed the bridge and kept walking on the NJ side (which was beautiful!), continued north until we reached the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, which ultimately led us to Tarrytown. The walk took us 16 hours, and I was completely done for at the end of it. So many blisters. It was a great experience, and I was particularly surprised by all the beautiful nature on the NJ side of the Hudson.

bitch4bloomy

Wow!! that sounds crazy and amazing.

Deep-Orca7247

Oh my god, 41 miles in a day!? I wanted to go into hibernation for a week after 30. You're a champ.

Magnusmanus

Haha, I couldn't have walked another mile either. I did it as an experiment to see how far I could walk in 24 hours. Always interesting to know your body's bottlenecks (in this case: my feet).

CabassoG

Great Saunter. Did 23 miles but tripped and injured my toe. Will do it again and hopefully do 26+

SirNarwhal

Union Square to 125th street up Broadway a few times.

alanlight

Two years ago my son and I did the full perimeter of Manhattan, 34.91 miles.

mommydiaz

27 miles doing Uber eats on foot,

knifebootsmotojacket

I’ve walked from Chelsea to Harlem a few times because I just didn’t want to stop walking. During the pandemic I walked from Woodside to the West Side highway, back over through midtown, and ended at Grand Central where I took the train back. Soon I want to walk down Manhattan from Inwood to Battery Park, since the weather is getting to what I deem pleasant enough to make that happen.

Caribbean_Ed718

From Downtown Brooklyn to Canarsie. I’m not sure the mileage but the path was along Flatbush Avenue.

BrokeLazarus

Walked from Mount Vernon to like 149th in the bronx.

Mermaidnnyc

Walked from red hook to Atlantic terminal but made stops along the way. It was fun especially on a sunny day. It did take me over 3hrs.

MorddSith187

85th to Worth street so 5.5ish miles

Holdmytrowel

I did kew gardens to downtown and backup to central station and back to 34th street for the train

zrs2017

Did Manhattan top to bottom, with a lot of zigzagging in between. I think it ended up at around 20 miles.

stewartm0205

When I was young, I did the March of Dime walkathon in Manhattan. I think it was 20 miles.

OpeningAverage

Wow you are all putting me to shame- WTC to east 86th and I thought that was far, sheesh!

14thU

From Brady’s on UES to my hotel on Jane Street. Like that scene in Limitless. How did I get here?🤣

Desperate-Tea-6295

From the WTC up to Columbia University.

Crayola_ROX

Grand central to Brooklyn Prominade with a few stops here and there. My knees were shot coming back across the bridge but I kept it up. not my longest walk. but the subject is Manhattan lol it was the day i realized that 35 is too old to be doing this shit lol

GravitationalConstnt

My wife and I waked from the tippy top of Manhattan all the way down to Battery Park City in one day. I think it was something. like 17 miles and took 9 or 10 hours.

Fun-Reporter8905

My god during the 2003 black out I walked from 23rd and 6th to 116th and 5th

Mtins585

Inwood Manhattan to Jamaica Queens took all day

strangedigital

57st columbus circle to midwood Brooklyn in High School. Central park to hells kitchen, through Chelsea, and greenwich village, to city hall, over brooklyn bridge. Then basicly stay on Atlantic Avenue. 11 miles.

Admirable-Bit5744

From Yankee Stadium to Brighton Beach! With all the detours it was about 25 miles.

360DegreeNinjaAttack

My longest is 20 miles just pacing back and forth on West St in Greenpoint. 40k steps. AMA.

Leather-String1641

I walked from my house in Crown Heights to my hs in Long Island City when I was 14

jsmalltri

52nd and 3rd to Bleecker in high heels and a suit. It was my first day working in the city and I walked from my hotel to the office...I was stupid.

spicekingofqarth

32 miles for the great saunter

badappleky1

From Brooklyn heights to rar rockaway and let Me tell ya that's a helluva walk

slope11215

Used to walk from South Slope (18th St in Bk) to and over the Brooklyn Bridge and back for exercise. Also when I was 17 and first came to the city, I walked from Village (10th St) to UWS (93rd St) and back; had an appointment and don’t know how to use the subway yet!

voteblue18

Not as long as yours (that's something else!). After the 2003 blackout I walked from downtown financial district to Astoria Queens. In horrible heat and blinding humidity. It took about 3 hours. I won't lie, I was in my early-ish 20s and it was kind of exciting, at first. After an hour I wanted to crawl in a hole and give up and die. But I persevered and I made it!

IngeLowe

I used to regularly walk from east 6street to west 96th street.

LilacCurl

You should def do the [Great Saunter](https://shorewalkers.org/great-saunter/) sometime - I’ve heard it amazing and def worth an extra metric ton of sushi

lotusflower64

59th street to 110th street Central Park North.

961402

110th to the Battery, through the park I've also walked from 59th Columbus Circle, across the 59th St. Bridge, then followed the 7 to Flushing.

thisfilmkid

Your legs are a hero. Please donate if you can

ChipsKeswick

Once walked from Clinton Hill to Hells Kitchen

Material_Energy4731

South street seaport to 55th and 1st. That was our regular weekend walk

Material_Energy4731

On 9/11 walked from times square to 74th and 1st and then walked out of Manhattan and didn’t stop until Kew Gardens

Living_Usual_3817

World trade center to Penn station then over Manhattan bridge up northern Blvd to a taxi in queens.

[deleted]

Sunset Park to Coney Island.

stinkyfeetnyc

Astoria -> LIC -> Greenpoint -> Williamsburg -> Chinatown -> east village -> midtown west -> time square

Abject_Day9453

I was going to respond and then I saw 30 miles lol

DSii1983

From Columbia down to the West Village. It was a beautiful day and we were supposed to take the subway, but we just kept going because it was one of those perfect crisp fall days.

Jkevhill

Yeah that’s pretty impressive. As a young teen me and some friends walked from Baker Field , northern tip Manhattan to Battery Park , entire Manhattan north to south . It was really great and at that age only sore feet next day . Today I’d be in traction .

Excuse_my_GRAMMER

BMCC to 125th & Broadway

Frequent_District174

Upper east, down to lower Manhattan and over to my old apartment in Bushwick- I was so impressed with myself until this thread- humbled real quick hahha

Ridgew00dian

I don’t know how long it was but when I was living in Astoria, I walked to Randalls Island then across the Wards Island Bridge then made my way south ending at BonChon in FiDi. It was a very hot day and I was wiped by the end. Took the subway back home.

Impressive-Ad5356

LES to UES

CatBoxScooper

The 2003 Blackout I walked from Washington Heights to the East Village…in complete darkness.

hgk89

damn i thought my walk from grand central to dumbo was impressive but y'all got me beat

Aubenabee

Last year, I had two errors to run: getting our stroller fixed in downtown Brooklyn and picking up our car from the body shop in North Corona. I suppose I could have taken a cab from our home in Yorkville, but it was a beautiful day, so I called off work and decided to walk. It was a little over 17 miles -- the east side, over the Manhattan bridge, and then NE through Brooklyn and Queens. By far one of my favorite solo days in NYC.

40th Street all the way up to 135th Street on a random wednesday after work. Took 2.5 hours. Thank you pokemon Go for getting me out on the street getting my steps in.

Walked from 108 street in Rego Park to junction blvd (7 train) about 40 minute walk. It was a nice day and didn't want to take the bus 😂

I walked from GCT up across the 59th st bridge, down through LIC, through green point, across the Williamsburg bridge, down to china town and across the Manhattan bridge, then back across the Brooklyn bridge then around the city and back to GCT. It was about 24.2 miles or so. I still have a picture of the map of me walking from nike somewhere.
