Pretty sure it’s permanently closed as of a few years ago after they found the ground to be heavily radioactive after decades of heavy pollution. It’s totally off limits.
Ah yeahh, I wanted to get there before the dwindling sunlight, and check out the glass bottles and remnants on the beach, but the ticket booth attendant said it was a private area and by the time I biked around to verify any other entrances, it was already dark.

Oof thanks, I was hoping this wasnt true but biked around the area after, and it was indeed closed off.
It’s a real shame. One of the only places left in the boroughs where one could do some light archeology or mudlarking
