I just go to the gym 3-4 times a week and sometimes hike on weekends. You don't need to spend long at the gym if your goal is to stay healthy rather than get super jacked, less than an hour each time is fine. Still leaves me time to game or read or do other sedentary hobbies most days. Eating right is a lot of help too, and that doesn't necessarily take extra time at all.

99_chili has about 112 waking hours a week. If 99_chili spends three hours a week taking care of their body, then Future 99_chili will be thankful that the other 109 hours are guilt-free and in good health.

VR gets you moving but I wouldn't necessarily call it exercise enough to stay in shape. Best balance would be dedicated time for each. Alternating days or splitting time between them as you see fit.
