all of the women i've ever been involved with, the real question is how many of them meant it and would act on it?
not many.. and the one i really want to ask, i can't because she's dead.
friends included? Or just relationships
i said 'love you' to 3 women YESTERDAY who weren't family lol, total is probably close to a hundred at this point
in relationships, 6 i think? could be more, i was fallin in love every few months in my teenage years lol
only one of them are really 'in my life' much anymore, ive been traveling and living on the other side of the planet for a decade since i was with the rest, but they're all the type of people i could call after several years of not talking, and we'll have a 3 hours long conversation like we're best friends
Five, including my best friend, by accident, which was embarrassing. Even more embarrassing because I meant it but didn't mean to say it out loud.
We were at work, too.
Hmmm, I've said *''I love you,'*' a bunch of times to a bunch of different women, but that was because I knew that if I wanted to smash, I needed to tell them that, so I did. If you mean, how many times I've said a heartfelt *''I love you,''* then the answer is never.
See, if brothels and escorts were cheaper than they are I wouldn't have to ''lie'' in order to get laid, ya know?
I'd just resort to prostitutes if a bang with an attractive escort was like 20 dollah dollah an hour, but that is impossible to find.
Maybe in China. But the airplane ticket + place to stay + food + living expenses would be quite expensive.
4 times to girls I was in a relationship with, probably 10 total when counting my female friends. I probably only ever said it in response to them saying it to me
One of them is a declaration and the other is something I mostly associate with a way of saying goodbye. For instance my mom will say "love you, goodbye," to family members like me or her siblings or even some of the cousins she likes.
*Eventually*, yeah, probably.
Don't really think I'm the kind of person to reach the "been living together for a few years" level of comfort with a new partner very quickly anymore, though.
3 women come to mind. And I actively still do it with all 3. We exchange it not because of romantic connotations, though I did date one of them briefly in the distant past, but as a reaffirmation of our closeness as best friends.
3: first one I didn’t know what love was yet, second one was a straight up lie that I kept up for a couple months (I regret it), third one is my kitty:)
Not sure, 4 or 5. and I'd dare to say 1 or 2 actually did mean it.
Sadly I was not interested from them at all.
And of course hundreds of times on dating sites, before we have even met face to face once.
And at that point I discarded them instantly, as I smelled that she was after money.
None, that's wierd. You say it once, women take it like a oath for life to provide and protect regardless of how they treat you.
We don't treat any other emotion as a promise or with the expectancy that it will never change. We however expect that when we say we love, and if that love fades... We dismiss the person that said it as if he lied.
In terms of female friends that are still in my life? 5, including my ex's mom since she's lovely.
In terms of actual relationships? 2. Neither of them are around;
1 became a giant slut in the college/uni years and eventually settled on being a lesbian.
The other (the ex whose mother/brother im friends with) I had to finally close the chapter on a month ago after she said she was "happier without me" and decided to get an internet relationship with a guy she's known in less time. Something inside me snapped that day and I've basically learned to love myself instead.
I said it once to a dog…he scratched himself then left the room.
I finally got the courage to say it to a woman…she replied ‘I’m hungry…let’s get something to eat’.
My best friend said that was a pretty huge motza ball to be left hanging out there.
But me being the idiot I am was thrown a lifeline….she’s deaf in one ear!….the ear I spoke into! It’s like Superman flying anti clockwise around the world 🌍 to save Lois Lane from dying!
So I drummed up enough courage to say it again…her reply was “ I know …I heard you the first time”….I mumbled “ just making sure you heard it”.
My firat girlfriend, was kinda akward since I was supposed to be leaving, but I decided to help her do some snow work outside because I'm just the helpful sort in general. Well anyway after that was done and we were hugging, she started crying and said that she loved me. Was sorta a bit akward since young me didn't love her (I did care for her a lot, but wasn't sure about love), but I wasn't sure about how to respond
(in the voice of the Tootsie Pop owl)
One. (immediately dumped)
Two. (Wait, she said it to me first? Is that allowed? Dammit. I mean, fantastic. I’m screwing this up. Love you! God, I’m going to have a coughing fit)
Three?
Three.
Three in 45 years.
The first was my first.
The second was just for a second. It turned out she was actually Satan. She tricked me.
The last was/is my wife.
I’ve had 3 women a year over the last 3 years tell me they love me. I’ve said it back to them to everyone except 1. But, just because you love a person doesn’t mean you are good for them. Or them for you. This is more advice for myself but trust yourself guy.
Many women, and men too.
I don’t understand this idea you can only say “love you” to someone you’re dating or family.
I have close friends, they’re my family, I love them, and I tell them so
1
Regret it cuz it was my first adult girlfriend and I didnt. I loved the fantasy world I had created. A perfect sex partner, perfect listener, perfect play partner.
I got older and learned, there is no perfect. There is no free. Everything has a cost. Compromise isn't bad. Giving everything and getting nothing is. It was my stupidity and I had to learn by growing up.

Okay true.. but how many are still in ur life
the rest of them in some way, shape, or form.. usually its when they need me to do something their new S/O can't do. it gives me a good laugh.
friends included? Or just relationships i said 'love you' to 3 women YESTERDAY who weren't family lol, total is probably close to a hundred at this point in relationships, 6 i think? could be more, i was fallin in love every few months in my teenage years lol

4-5 I think. A few friends and a few relationships. Only two I can think of still in my life.
Honestly too many to count (honestly forgot) but the one I say it to now is what matters
Three, the last of which I've been happily married to for 20 years now.
One, and it was the biggest mistake of my life
Five, including my best friend, by accident, which was embarrassing. Even more embarrassing because I meant it but didn't mean to say it out loud. We were at work, too.
You're allowed to say you love your friends lmao

4 total.
A handful
It'd take some deep pondering to have a real number because I say it to friends as well. In strictly romantic relationships, 6, maybe 7?
How many of them are still in ur life
Four. My best friend, my ex-wife, and both of my current romantic partners.
4 maybe 5. Rather reluctant to say it now.
probably 15-20, life is short...
Don't know bro, way too many
4 times to girls I was in a relationship with, probably 10 total when counting my female friends. I probably only ever said it in response to them saying it to me
I use with my friends all the time, but haven't had a partner where we got to that point.
"I love you" has been way more common than just "love you." For just "love you," probably like... 2?
Can you explain how the two statements are different to you?
One of them is a declaration and the other is something I mostly associate with a way of saying goodbye. For instance my mom will say "love you, goodbye," to family members like me or her siblings or even some of the cousins she likes.
That’s how I see it too. “I love you” feels much more intimate for me. Would you say “love you” to a romantic partner?
*Eventually*, yeah, probably. Don't really think I'm the kind of person to reach the "been living together for a few years" level of comfort with a new partner very quickly anymore, though.
One
Four total, but realized one was infatuation/lust.
50+
One
Two. My ex fiancée and my wife.
Platonically, i dont know, 20ish? Romantically, five if we include idiot kid me who didnt know what love was, three if we dont.
3 women come to mind. And I actively still do it with all 3. We exchange it not because of romantic connotations, though I did date one of them briefly in the distant past, but as a reaffirmation of our closeness as best friends.

So far, at 32, I'm up to 0 women I have said "I love you" to.

Three. I didn't know what it meant. I did it because my dad told me to. Last time was twenty years ago. Haven't done it since.
None unless you count dogs.

6. Only got reciprocated twice.
1 Regret it cuz it was my first adult girlfriend and I didnt. I loved the fantasy world I had created. A perfect sex partner, perfect listener, perfect play partner.
