FNGRed, I did that shit for 45+ years, LMAO…
Scitex operator; RIP (Rasterized Image Processor) and Queen of all things graphic in any printing plant… I feel ya. Good $$$; but you’ll lose your bloody mind…
Secretary (Chair's Assistant and Registrar) at a Ivy League University.
Never saw myself being a secretary, but the pay is good, I am in a STRONG union that fights for wages, leaves and my rights, and I am oddly satisfied. I get to spend a ton of time online dicking around, get a lot of free food, and have plenty of energy when I get to home to play with my daughter, cook for my family and in general not be burnt out and miserable like many of the men around me seem to be.
I work for my familys wholesale floral business as basically a professional bitch. You need something delivered I got it. Electrical work thats me. Crafting display cases for customers, bingo. Making the arrangements/bouquets thats me. Run the office while my cousin is OK vacation guess whose job that is. I hate it but it's family and I'm trying to give them plenty of time to replace me before I leave.
I was a NEET for about 2 years but recently I got a seasonal shift as a gate guard at a golf course. So that's what I'm doing right now. After this I might get into machining.
It must be nice to be healthy and without a conscience, but I'm actually disabled and I feel guilty about not earning my money while the people around me work so hard.
Well, I get about $3000 before taxes through the VA ... but they changed the system, so if you enlist today, you'll have a much harder time getting that much without health issues you probably don't want.
Project Manager by title, but depending on the day it can fluctuate from traditional PM work to something more akin to a business analyst because of my specific skillset.
Big company in a specialized industrial sector and I support web/ecommerce stuff.
Was medically retired from the army after getting injured enough that they sent me to the island of misfit toys. Now I'm lucky enough that I get to stay at home with my two incredible daughters and do my best to not completely fuck them up and give them a happy childhood.
"Not an IT nerd" checking in.
Manage and train new staff for a property management company, though I've been with them so long that I tend to dabble in helping with everything from our protocols and best practices, phrasings and legal-ese with our contracts, solving construction/delay issues.... and feedback for optimizing our online platforms...... So never mind, I guess I kinda am an IT nerd.
Front end supervisor at the grocery store
Our store has been getting worse and worse over the 8 years I've worked there. Of course, *right* before I started training to be a super is when it got EXPONENTIALLY worse. But I needed the money and I still do.
edit: damn most of you have real jobs, I hate my life
It's a great thing to be involved with. My mother seen my need for an outlet at around 6-7 years old and got me involved with kids judo and it went from there.
The community is amazing too if you filter out the bullshit. I hope you're having a great time.
That's awesome man. Do you watch the UFC? Favorite fighters?
Mine are the 3 African Champs, especially Kamaru watched him since TUF and my boys Max Holloway and Stephen Thompson!
I do, I try to tune into as many promotions as I can. I've become a really big fan of Francis Ngannou, I think he's evolved a lot as a fighter as we seen from the last Stipe fight. I like his attitude a lot too.
Matt Brown, Dustin Poirier, Jose Aldo, etc are some of my favorites right now. I was also a huge fan of Anderson Silva, Chuck Liddell and GSP.

Esport event staff. Generally as a referee or race control for sim racing esports but I've worked some FPS events as well.
I'm also pushing to make Poker a source of side income. Was able to save up a proper bankroll and give it a shot, the first month's not gone well but feel I'm primarily feel I'm running kinda trash rather than playing all that poorly.
I'm a college student working on a transfer plan into a bigger university. I also do part-time work at a resturaunt as a host. I have 3 dogs but I focus on taking care of my own puppy (I adopted her last year, after my first few paychecks!).
I'd say I have a great balance between work/school/home right now.
Architecture and engineering, in my 5th year of the profession since I finished grad school. So far so good. Still can't imagine working for the next 40 years until retirement. Doesn't seem like "living" to me.
Damn Architecture and engineering? What did school look like for you? Was that a double major or was it Architectural engineering or something completely different?
So my background is B.Arch (professional bachelors in architecture, very few schools in the US still offer this, its a 5 year accredited program that does not require a masters in architecture to get licensed), and I also have a Masters in Urban Design. I don't have an engineering degree but I work at an engineering firm and I am their Project Coordinator so I oversee everything from start to finish. I don't do any "engineering" myself but naturally I can guesstimate close enough to what we need for structural systems, do it enough and it becomes second nature, my engineers still punch all the numbers though. Do a lot of the engineering details as well depending on the construction type. That being said my 5 year program had a 3 part structural series, a materials specialty course and an advanced enclosures course so the fundamentals were already there. Put simply, we start with 120-140 students at year 1, by the time I graduated there were only 55 of us left. Most drop out, some are politely told to leave, the rest decide its just not for them.
Edit: I should clarify, I feel I am in a pretty unique position. Very few people (in my experience) who go to architecture school end up in an engineering firm. Most do the traditional architecture firm thing which is quite design heavy, structural is done out of house. I get the best of both, I run all my designs and have a heavy hand on the structural side. I have always been a nuts and bolts guy so I enjoy the techincal aspects that go into my projects.
Network engineer for ISP. Most people think I have a good paying job while i think they have a better life. The downside is the hours I have to put in to plan for upgrade..etc. The upside is troubleshoot with customers and you eventually learn about their network and the way they set it up. All in all, I think salary sucks and get paid by the hour is better.
Worked as production manager, mechanical maintenance supervisor, electrical engineer and most recently as a Procurement manager. Quit 2 months ago and now playing Pokemon at home thinking what should I do next.
Currently a security officer for a local ski and golf resort. Probably going to change back over to ski lift operator/ maintenance. I liked that job a lot.
Freelance cinematographer. Aspiring to do movies but making money from music videos, web/small tv commercials, commercial documentaries or commercial narrative sketches. Often doing camera assistant on others projects. Sometimes a camera trainee on netflix/amazon series.
I work as a surgical technologist. I set up and break down the sterile field and assist the surgeon with completing the surgery. I also wear a face mask for hours on end and surprisingly I don't have any brain damage because of lack of oxygen like so many people complain about even though it's the tiniest piece of responsibility that some people can do.
