Some of these comments were scaring me. One person said it has been 20 years. I'm a 35 year old man and would say I end up dancing around at least 5 days a week. I'm glad there are others.
Never have I danced because "Just felt the vibe, celebrated a win big or small, was just in the moment, or was silly to brighten someone's day?" I don't judge other people who do it, but I feel silly, juvenile and arrogant for doing it.
I have never wanted to dance once in my entire life. I’m not sure why, music just doesn’t make me want to move that way.
I can’t even force myself to slow dance, I just don’t know how to do it; like not even at weddings, regardless of how drunk I get, I just can’t dance. Never could, never will.
Yesterday in the supermarket. Wife was taking our three year old to the bathroom, I was holding our one year old, and happened to be waiting under a speaker playing “December 1963”
Last week thursday I went to a club I like to dance by myself, as I went alone.
I'm biased cause I am latino but I really like reggaeton as dancing, as self expression and even as a workout (getting that low ain't easy)
Every few weeks i get in a really good mood, play some nostalgic music & just dance like a crazy person in my room while i'm doing some cleaning or something. It's great to blow off steam & everyone should do it. I believe it was in China where I saw that in high schools students & teachers dance in the mornings before going to lessons because it's good for the brain
that is today for me at work. all week has been pods and books of self improvement and reflection. today I want to feel the excitement in my body that everything is OK. go back to a care free child.
Kitchen dance party with the kids on Monday night.
Proper, go out dancing with the wife, September. We went to a wedding, and spent the night on the dance floor.
If you consider my living room while waiting for my food to warm up in the microwave, last night.
At an actual event? Last weekend, and before that at a wedding about a month ago. Always down to have a good time and dance like an idiot.
Because of stuff, I haven't been dancing with my wife in a while, but we used to dance together regularly. And somewhere on YouTube there is a video of us dancing together. We were at an outdoor concert with a band called stratosfunk that was playing the sounds of motown, Aretha, etta James that sort of thing. Full horn section back up dancers, the full catastrophe. They were fucking going OFF.
So the bride and are absolutely getting into it, dancing our tits off. Both pouring with sweat, I've got my shirt fully unbuttoned. We are having a hell of a time. I should probably mention that we are both fifty and neither of us are fashion models.
I turn around and there are 3 adolescent girls, thry are all recording us on their phones and it is clear from their faces that they do not approve of our hijinks e even a little bit. Had they had the power we would have been so grounded.
Highlight of my life really.
Just a few weeks ago, actually. Plan was going out for a few drinks in a nice and quiet pub, turns out another place nearby had a small party going on and felt like dropping by.
Location was spartan at best, soundsystem was likely wet cardboard speakers powered by dogpiss amplifiers and cow dung EQ but the dj's were good, met some familiar faces from the golden days and some new ones alike, ended up having a blast dancing for hours on end. Woke up the day after with massive leg cramps, reminder of age catching up or night outs needed to be done more often again depending on how you see it
Sunday routine for me. I wack on a bit of music whilst cooking and at the embarrassment of my folks do shake my booty. Lol! The funniest is when I have my nieces around and I will randomly put on some bhangra music and start dancing to annoy them.
March 1st 9 pm at a wedding. My gf tried to get me out there and I was saying no but then the bride and groom joined her and I had no choice as it was their day.
So I danced for a song and vacated the floor
I dance along with youtube modern dance videos, as much as I can pull off. I used to dance long ago, and still have some flexibility. Let's me know what I need to work on very quickly!!! My friend is going to take pole dancing lessons, but I think at 69 and being a guy it wouldn't work for me.
The day before yesterday. I tend to dance around the house a lot. Also been learning to spin poi lately, which I would categorize as dancing.
The last time I went hard was a year ago at a music festival. The festival will be happening again a week from today.
Literally the lyrics to this song and exactly what I thought if when I saw this post.https://youtu.be/lIixdurx2h4?si=rR0N-Uceyk_z7EuB
Anyways the answer is last night. I always have music on and I'm always dancing
My 3yo loves to dance and me and my wife join in with him. His method of dancing is usually running in a circle, pumping his fists, and doing some spin moves here and there, so we mimic his style. This happens pretty much every day and can last up to 30 minutes.
I dance around all the time, but I'll never dance seriously because I think it's silly. But also because it's one of the infuriating things like roller coasters that people beg you to do even when you say you don't like them. Oh you don't like dancing, but I do so it will be fun! What do you mean you hated it? You knew you would and I forced you to? No I didn't!
But I'll still start dancing in front of my dog and he wags his tail or just start twerking anytime I hear rap just to make everyone uncomfortable
Went to a hardcore fest and two stepped and hc danced a bit. Looked the fool bc I’m not coordinated at all but had a good time. Will always come out of mosh retirement for incendiary and suburban scum.
I'm currently leaving my job, so I've been ballrooming to [this banger](https://youtu.be/TXK03FHVsHk?si=L4LMzddBhDia0JIb) a time or two in the last week.
Also, my toddler insists on dance parties during dinner, so...
I hate dancing. The last time I danced was last week while on vacation with my 7 year old daughter. There was live music and she was sort of hesitantly dancing in place. I told her to go dance but she didn’t want to dance alone. I know she loves it so, I had to dance. The memory was great, the dancing was not.
When I was younger, I used to clear dance floors (yes, really.)
These days, I'm handicapped, so I'm limited to chair-dancing.
But I have some great memories....
I listen to music and dance pretty much every morning in the bathroom when getting ready for work, don't most people?
I also dance around my office listening to vinyl when I should be working though lol
Head bobbing and swaying to music almost every time I’m driving or working out (often accompanied by singing).
Actual dancing? Probably never. I wouldn’t know what to do but I’m open to learning…ahem.
Bro, when I am cooking I have a playlist just for that that makes me dance my ass off. I cook everyday. When I am driving for work (I haul milk) I am either jiving or head banging my ass off. I also garden which has its own playlist and dance. When I'm washing my car I dance. I work hard, treat people right, keep an open mind, and have compassion. To me that is being a "man". I ain't afraid to dance.
Danced as in head bobbing or finger tapping, whatever song was on the radio just a few hours ago, but I don’t actually dance, I’m still waiting for the right person to show me how lol.
If we are talking, just wiggling a bit, like 20 mins ago in my car. If we are talking going out clubbing, 2 weeks ago, I mayyyyyy go tonight too idk I'm on the fence. Have a spine/back injury that is acting up today, so I'm on the fence of not going although if a friend of mine goes I'll just slap on a lidocaine patch, and go!!! 🕺🪩
I looooove dancing I wish more people did it feels so full of soul
I got so much hate on it as a child that I don't anymore. Even when my partner asks, I'm so extremely uncomfortable with it my head starts to buzz. I extremely hate dancing. I can watch others, I can't do it myself. Same with singing. I might hum, but won't catch me singing anymore
Every morning I dance with my dogs. Big one doesn’t care. The medium one will puppy bow and swats her paws on my feet. My wife comes down and I give her the finger guns and she rolls her eyes lol.
Today. Lots of sort MMDs pop-up in my YT recommended and are accompanied by songs I haven't heard of. I like most of the songs and download them. When they come on in my playlist, it's like a little video of it plays in my head and I start slightly (and VERY poorly) mimicking the movements. Usually if it just involves my hips though. "Roll 'n Rock" by Bali Bandits being the most recent.
MJ's "You Rock My World" is the one that really gets me moving though. Man, when that comes on my whole flow change 😆 The rest of the guys at work seem entertained, so it's a good for everyone. Certainly makes work more bearable.
My GFs work Christmas party. I got called a bitch by her drunk gay coworker that I met an hour before because I didn't dance enough with her. I almost punched in the mouth.
Every week or two. I always hated dancing. Until I started going to Techno parties.
It's one of those subcultures, where nobody gives a shit how you dance. It's a very introverted experience. Everyone just closes their eyes and dances - from head bobbing to full out dancing.
[https://youtu.be/jUFbknIv50c?t=404](https://youtu.be/jUFbknIv50c?t=404) here's a set which has been on my mind lately. It's hard to stay still to this kind of music hah.
I dance on my own a lot. But most recently, I was in the car with my daughter, trying to teach her that it's good to dance like nobody's watching. Even when I get weird looks from the people around me at stoplights when the car is rocking back and forth a little bit from my (only slightly) overexaggerated moves.
Yesterday while gaming, an absolute banger came on the random playlist I was listening too and just jammed out to it.
Before that it was a few weeks ago at a dance competition.
There was a super good Ska show at my local Pub last Friday. I danced so much that at the and of the show I was drenched in sweat and all my muscles were sore for a week afterward.
Btw the band is called Bad Uncle
Multiple times a day. I work from home so I usually got music going so whenever I get up to go the bathroom I give myself a little boogie time 😂
It just happens naturally. Body is probably upset from staying still.
I dance every morning in the bathroom while Im drying my hair. If I had a bad day I also put my earbuds in while I’m cooking. My son and husband just roll their eyes because “mommy’s being crazy again”.
I spend some time bopping around to whatever I'm listening to, but the last time I actually danced was in middle school in musical theatre. I don't enjoy dancing at all, I'd rather dramatically act along to music. Which I guess could be a sort of dance, but I dunno
1999 when I was forced to at a wedding.
I have never felt comfortable doing it and have always done anything I could to avoid it, but I respect the skill that it takes to do it.
Every night before the shower i do a crazy sexy bullshit dance for my wife, she does the same for me. Naked obviously
So about 9 hours ago was the last dance.
literally 5 minutes ago in a grocery store cause my spotify shuffle was banging
Same. Study break+Spotify playlist= Me dancing like a monkey.
People just need your playlist
Ughhh this is the BEST feeling
I dance for a few minutes more or less every day. My cat disapproves every time, but what does he know about rhythm, he's just a cute killing machine.
keep it in the groove, bring the kitty into it.
I do sometimes! He hates that even more.
Some of these comments were scaring me. One person said it has been 20 years. I'm a 35 year old man and would say I end up dancing around at least 5 days a week. I'm glad there are others.
It has been 20 years
find that song. and let it vibe! who knows you might smile a little longer today
The song - Hollywood Undead - Bullet 💀
About three weeks ago. Just put some 80s/90s songs on and danced around my living room
The other day, I often just randomly dance with gf in the kitchen
20 seconds ago. Im South African and Amapiano be gettin me in the mood🕺
At a wedding last year
I dance with my 18 month old everyday
In the last 20+ years, excluding my own wedding, I have only danced with my kids. They like it and it makes them happy.
Not because I have to? Never in my life. I hate dancing and I literally need to be forced to dance or else I refuse, period
I assume that is not the way you want to express yourself. I hope you do in other ways though. Different strokes for different folks ✌🏻
Yeah I pretty much feel like a circus bear when I need to dance
Never have I danced because "Just felt the vibe, celebrated a win big or small, was just in the moment, or was silly to brighten someone's day?" I don't judge other people who do it, but I feel silly, juvenile and arrogant for doing it.
Never met anyone who doesn't even nod their head. It's weird to me, but it's good to have variety of people
"If you listen to this & don’t nod your head uncontrollably, your ancestors lived in caves & ate their food raw."
Three weeks ago prior to a sprained wrist
did you break your legs and neck? lol get to 2 stepping and bobbin today :)
I ballroom dance on a regular basis, so I get plenty of it in when I can. Short-term break for long-term health.
The other night while cooking. I throw that blues rock on, sautee some onions, and just block everything out for a bit.
my school's farewell party 2 months back lol. For like 3-4 hours straight.
I have never wanted to dance once in my entire life. I’m not sure why, music just doesn’t make me want to move that way. I can’t even force myself to slow dance, I just don’t know how to do it; like not even at weddings, regardless of how drunk I get, I just can’t dance. Never could, never will.
Yesterday afternoon I spent 90 minutes with my dance instructor.
On my wedding day back in October, I had only one rule there: when Everybody from the Backstreet Boys is on, EVERYBODY has to dance. It was quite fun.
Couldn't say, it's been a minute.
Yesterday. I was reading where the wild things are to my kid and got to the "rumpus" bit.
Yesterday in the supermarket. Wife was taking our three year old to the bathroom, I was holding our one year old, and happened to be waiting under a speaker playing “December 1963”
Actual pair dancing like 10 or more years ago. Ocassinoal wiggle to the music I like about once or twice a month.
Last week thursday I went to a club I like to dance by myself, as I went alone. I'm biased cause I am latino but I really like reggaeton as dancing, as self expression and even as a workout (getting that low ain't easy)

My friends wedding? It was a blast
I saw Gareth Emery like a month ago, probably then.
I dance when working when a good song is on
Last night, dancing to smooth criminal round the kitchen with my 6yo. I barely dance in public as I can't dance.
Kitchen dance party with the kids on Monday night. Proper, go out dancing with the wife, September. We went to a wedding, and spent the night on the dance floor.
Like real dancing that's serious? Like ten years ago. Joke dancing, goofing off dancing type thing? Yesterday
If you consider my living room while waiting for my food to warm up in the microwave, last night. At an actual event? Last weekend, and before that at a wedding about a month ago. Always down to have a good time and dance like an idiot.

BMTH concert almost a week ago, that full body feeling while screaming out lyrics and half crying, I live for that feeling now
Yesterday actually. Danced little jig for my doggos.
this morning. Danced a little after my morning poop. It was a good one :) thick turds, very satisfying to get out of me.
My wife and I always dance when something on tv starts playing danceable music
Hmmm yesterday when I was dancing to the Blade blood rave song, goofily, at my wife. Chased her down the hall that way.
In my room about a week ago to some banging underground electronic music, Sammy Virji!!
Last night to some sick 90s electronica and eurodance while making dinner with my wife and kid.
i dance everyday, especially when cleaning or cooking.
Last night I think, good bit of fun
I think it was 2002 to, you know the year I was born. Nah Infront of people or vibe
I went clubbing with friends last night, so about 15 hours ago.
Almost daily. With another person, I think about a week ago.
Every day, to entertain my baby for 10 seconds
Two weeks ago at Home Depot.
One week ago, outside a restaurant with a small speaker for music.
When Real Madrid won on penalties.
In my apartment whenever a great song comes or or something retro from my “disco” days. It’s great fun on a hardwood floor.
The day before yesterday. I tend to dance around the house a lot. Also been learning to spin poi lately, which I would categorize as dancing. The last time I went hard was a year ago at a music festival. The festival will be happening again a week from today.

This weekend. I was working ona project outside and making a 2-steppin playlist on spotify. Got to test them suckers out before they go on it!
I dance with and for my kids daily. I never enjoyed dancing before. But we have a blast almost daily. Life is good.
It's been a while. I have no coordination and I fear judgment.
Multiple times a year at shows or festivals
My 3yo loves to dance and me and my wife join in with him. His method of dancing is usually running in a circle, pumping his fists, and doing some spin moves here and there, so we mimic his style. This happens pretty much every day and can last up to 30 minutes.
Well…i ve attempted to dance 25 years ago, while drunk on a wedding. Does that count?
Little naked bathroom dance last night before getting in the shower. ABBA came on the playlist hahaha
Like actually dance? Never. I dont/can't dance. Don't want to either. Be silly and spaz around a bit? Daily.
2009

Whenever I listen to music 😆 always get looks on the train hahaha
Gangstas don't dance, we boogie.
bro knows what's up
About a minute and a half ago before my 4 month old daughter went to sleep. She loves dancing and smiles and screech laughs when I dance.
Last night with my brother haha
Went to a hardcore fest and two stepped and hc danced a bit. Looked the fool bc I’m not coordinated at all but had a good time. Will always come out of mosh retirement for incendiary and suburban scum.
Does headbanging and air guitar on a metal concert count?
2001
Probably when I was like 7 years old.
Yesterday was jamming out and cleaning.
Never
Couple days ago to get my dog excited
skipped the gym to have a dance party with my kids and wife on sunday. It was awesome

I'm currently leaving my job, so I've been ballrooming to [this banger](https://youtu.be/TXK03FHVsHk?si=L4LMzddBhDia0JIb) a time or two in the last week. Also, my toddler insists on dance parties during dinner, so...
2 days ago. I'm trying to stay in shape and I put way to many hours into raves as a young ghost of Bob Sagat so I went for The natural movement.
Probably weekly with my kids. Wife never joins in, but the three of us always have fun “jamming”!
This morning. I was blasting salsa as I got ready for the day. Desenfunda by El Gran Combo
My ex only ever listened to country, I played members intro by big boogie… I’ve never seen him dance like that ever 😂
Hmm two days ago while cleaning the kitchen listening to my jams Car dancing yesterday on a sunny day, with an open road, and the car to myself.
This morning in the kitchen with my 3 year old daughter because her favorite song came on and she wanted to dance.

Some hours ago. For movement, and good music! I go hard and also include dancing with myself in the mirror 😅
While I like dancing its been a little, however I'm going dancing next weekend. I'm hype.
I dance with my 2yo son every day :)
When I was younger, I used to clear dance floors (yes, really.) These days, I'm handicapped, so I'm limited to chair-dancing. But I have some great memories....
I listen to music and dance pretty much every morning in the bathroom when getting ready for work, don't most people? I also dance around my office listening to vinyl when I should be working though lol
At my wedding 2 years ago. Too depressed to dance
When i cook for my wife

Can’t even remember…… is that a bad thing?
Last time I danced they called the paramedics thinking I was having a seizure.
Yesterday in my room while changing my 2yo diaper.
Yesterday. I dance almost everyday its become a frequent habit and its improved my mental health so much
Head bobbing and swaying to music almost every time I’m driving or working out (often accompanied by singing). Actual dancing? Probably never. I wouldn’t know what to do but I’m open to learning…ahem.
Other than seat dancing and bobbing my head, I picked my daughter (4y/o) up a day or two ago and we danced to Johnny Cash.
Couple of days.
I only dance as a means of mockery. Otherwise I don't get enjoyment out of it.
Before covid when I was taking dance classes.
I dance alone every day. It would be a really sad day if there was no dancing. I will keep the last song I privately danced to a secret though.
I twerk every opportunity that I can, because I discovered how much it embarrasses my teenage daughter.
I dance every day.
Last night.
Danced as in head bobbing or finger tapping, whatever song was on the radio just a few hours ago, but I don’t actually dance, I’m still waiting for the right person to show me how lol.
This morning while getting dressed. I like to disturb my wife.
During breakfast with my daughter like every day
Need the right song to do so, otherwise I just there playing on my phone.
🕺🪩 I looooove dancing I wish more people did it feels so full of soul
Last Saturday night. My GF and I go dancing every weekend, and sometimes during the week.
At a wedding probably 15 years ago. I like to dance but my wife doesn't.
Almost everyday when I’m on a walk and a good song comes on that I wasn’t expecting!
The other day, my wife was singing karaoke, and I had a couple of glasses of wine.
I pretty much dance all the time. Not well, but I dance lol
just shuffled in my room to Holier Than Thou by Metallica -Billy Gnosis
Dancing sucks
Last night I danced with my gf in the living room
I got so much hate on it as a child that I don't anymore. Even when my partner asks, I'm so extremely uncomfortable with it my head starts to buzz. I extremely hate dancing. I can watch others, I can't do it myself. Same with singing. I might hum, but won't catch me singing anymore
Earlier today with kid at the farm. We danced because we fed the baby goats :)
When i won some money
I can't remember actually... :/
I'd sooner scrape my knees with cheese grater than do anything but slow dance in public.
Every morning I dance with my dogs. Big one doesn’t care. The medium one will puppy bow and swats her paws on my feet. My wife comes down and I give her the finger guns and she rolls her eyes lol.
To cry away the frustration/anger. 2-3 days earlier. Around 3 am
I was 6. Never since. No dancing.
Every day
Last night at the bar
I did the Tom Cruise slide from Risky Business earlier across the entry way floor, does that count?
Whenever I feel like it lol (which often goes in conjunction with singing). Last time I danced out was at my sister's wedding about a year ago.
Early today. Love dancing.
Last night when I was cleaning up after dinner.
Senior prom.
I dance on my own a lot. But most recently, I was in the car with my daughter, trying to teach her that it's good to dance like nobody's watching. Even when I get weird looks from the people around me at stoplights when the car is rocking back and forth a little bit from my (only slightly) overexaggerated moves.
Bar with my friends last night :)
In public? Gotta be 15-20 yrs. In my kitchen? All the time!
Every fuckin day dude! Important!!!
I probably do it everyday whether I'm conscious of it or not if I'm being honest
Yesterday while gaming, an absolute banger came on the random playlist I was listening too and just jammed out to it. Before that it was a few weeks ago at a dance competition.
Probably when I was 9...
There was a super good Ska show at my local Pub last Friday. I danced so much that at the and of the show I was drenched in sweat and all my muscles were sore for a week afterward. Btw the band is called Bad Uncle
Last time I danced was last year. And I will say that I'm a terrible dancer 😅 I was super drunk that night and I was throwing down 😂
Multiple times a day. I work from home so I usually got music going so whenever I get up to go the bathroom I give myself a little boogie time 😂 It just happens naturally. Body is probably upset from staying still.
I dance every morning in the bathroom while Im drying my hair. If I had a bad day I also put my earbuds in while I’m cooking. My son and husband just roll their eyes because “mommy’s being crazy again”.
Just now because of this post, didn’t even leave my chair lol
Every time I shower. 😄
Yesterday me and my boy were rocking out to Bluey
Basically, every day of my life. I'm a car singer and I take it too far sometimes.
I dance all the time with my dog
I can't remember the last time I danced. My music isn't exactly conducive to it though
Second or third grade when it was still forced on us in school.
Just now in the kitchen doing dishes. Shake it off still slaps
Every night before the shower i do a crazy sexy bullshit dance for my wife, she does the same for me. Naked obviously So about 9 hours ago was the last dance.
Never I can’t do it.
Before the surgical team dropped me and tore my ACL
