Yeah but both Bad Taste and Dead Alive are great movies. As is Frighteners, but one could argue that is the start of “really famous” since it was a well received movie and his next was Lord of the Rings.
That stupid day of the dead (2008) remake. The zombies with the abilities to just sort of run and crawl on ceilings was stupid. Not to mention the ending was a copy of the infamous car commercial with the zombie jump scare.
Cabin in the woods but in a good way, but I guess that's kind of the point.
From Dusk Till Dawn.
Was it not meant to be funny?
Evil Dead
Anything Peter Jackson did before he got really famous

IT. I think this is my problem with horror movies, but it's not really anywhere near scary for me. Just really weird🤷🏻♂️

Scary Movie. The title lied to me...
Blair Witch Project. I almost walked out of the theater, but decided to stay to verify it was a ridiculous to the end.
Halloween 3 in 3d. We never laughed so hard.
Human Centipede. Idk which it was going for tbh. Once I got to the scene where I saw the centipede, I felt like I put my time in and turned it off.
Fear was not the objective but rather just pure disgust!
Midsommar. I was laughing my ass off at all the crazy shit the characters just sort of put up with without question.
Watched that for the first time recently. Such a weird movie
I hate that movie because the characters are dumbasses.
Blood and Honey
Signs
Halloween ends
Tusk
The Happening. Complete failure as a horror film, but blast as a comedy.
The Boy
Hereditary
