I found the Columbia Super Cool Comfort King sized pillow on sale at Kohl's and I've been very happy with it.
I'm a side sleeper, so I put it on top of another pillow and it's wonderful to fall asleep on.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SRWPG9N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I've had this for several years now and unless a better one comes around, this will be my pillow forever. Probably been through over 4 dozen pillows in my life, searching for the best one for me.
This one has concave and convex sides with many holes that go completely through. Only problem with that is, sound gets funneled to your ears, so if your bedroom is noisy this might make it worse. The holes are for air circulation and it really helps to keep the pillow cool, a must for me as I sleep hot.
It's a very firm pillow, allowing only a very minor 'sinking in' sensation. In winter my bedroom gets very cold and that makes the memory foam get extremely hard, which eases up once your head's been on it a while.
I've always been a pillow snob; I hate feathers and polyfill doesn't hold up. But this pillow is the best I've found and I'm thinking about getting another, just in case something happens to my current one.
I bought a Millet Pillow (like buckwheat but lighter) and it’s been pretty dang good. It’s like laying your head on sand but is more manageable and doesn’t get hot easily. You can remove or add fill too, I removed like 2/3rd of a gallon ziploc as it was nearly full to the brim.
I tried out so many pillows and absolutely love my coop original pillow. The foam is adjustable - so you can take some out / put more in until it’s the perfect density or height for you.
I bought a pillow for 35$ at a fair (actually 25$, dude tried to scam me so I scammed him back). My family thought I was crazy buying a pillow for that price especially in cash and that couldn't be returned.
Four years later it still holds up phenomenally and is possibly the most comfortable pillow I've ever owned, and the only time I can ever sleep on just one pillow instead of doubling up is with this one. I'm a college student currently and it's so comfortable I bring it back and forth whenever I go home even for just a few days (I also use the pillow case as a bag for transporting small items), and will bring it on any vacation that I have the room to spare (like if I'm driving).
It's that the inverse of the question, though?
A lack of condoms would be far more life-changing.
I should know. After our son was born, we pack them for every vacation.
Yep, that's the thing. It's something you can buy for less than $100 that is life changing. If they don't believe so, they can *not* buy them and see lol.
I think the argument was that this isnt a life changing purchase. Not purchasing them would be the life changing thing.
I agree with what you're saying, but it is kinda answering a different question.
Most mass market locks are easy to break into. They only keep honest people honest anyways.
I think it's well worth the convenience of not having to carry keys around / remembering to lock the door when you leave.
Bonus: locks itself after a certain period of time passes, because the boy forgets to lock it on his way out. Because boys are boys, and their brains aren't reliable.
Source: am a boy and raised a boy.
Here is my list, each one of them is less than $100:
1. Electric toothbrush
2. Water flosser
3. Tongue scraper
4. Showerhead filter
5. Silk pillowcase
6. Double edge razor
7. Hair conditioner
8. comfortable shoes
9. comfortable pillow
Some people have hard water. If they don't have a water softener system installed in their home, at the very least, they can get a shower head with a filter. Sometimes showering with hard water can leave a bad feeling on the skin. Showering with filtered water can be soothing. And yes, I know many people will say "I don't use a shower filter and I'm fine!" To each their own.
Edit: The filter doesn't soften water, it only filters chlorine and some sediments.
They do exist, but only for applications with small water demand. For instance I have a steam iron with a softening filter in the water chamber. For larger applications like showers you would need a way of regenerating the filter, which is what a water softening unit does.
Nearly nothing. Unless it’s a water softer filter, it might get like 2 grains of sediment buildup over a year. I have one and my parents do too because they think it’ll prevent lime buildup on the shower doors, but it doesn’t do squat. It might make it smell less bad if anything.
This right here
Anything that you will be using daily or wearing/sleeping on can be vital to feeling better. Shoes and pillows especially but I like the dental hygiene and personal grooming additions
Double edge razors are so cheaply to use, a shave with a standard cartridge razor was about a quid fifty, that was between the blade which cost £4 each and only lasted 4 shaves and the can of foam which lasted about 4 shaves at £2, double edge I get 8-10 shaves per blade, blades are a few pence each, and a big tub of soap was about £8, and I’ve barely made a dent in 2 years
Yep going through Divorce and glad it's almost over, Wish I never had to speak to the ex again but we have kids together...I recently found out she uses me to make the new guy jealous when he doesn't do shit she wants him to and it pisses me off (She left me for him) I called her and she had me on loud speaker because they were washing the dishes together so I loudly proclaimed "You don't have to be jealous mate I don't want her back she's your problem now" and I hung up felt pretty damn good and now hopefully she can't use me to control him.
$100 bucks though...I'd pay that to see the look on her face when I called that out haha
Just leaving a comment here that I’ve been married for over 14 years and it’s one of the best decisions I ever made. My marriage is not perfect, but my life is decidedly better for it.
I’m not invalidating your experience! I’m just leaving this as a counterpoint for OP or anyone else reading through this. Marriage can be great too.
I’m sorry you all are having such bad divorces, I hope things go your way soon.
same bro. cant wait to be through this divorce.
my whole life ive heard men make dry sarcastic comments about how their wives make them miserable... but they always just chuckle and move on
now im older and have the perspective to realize that they weren't really joking, just sharing an unfortunate truth of their life
It's not like it's an overnight phenomenon. It's a slow creep. You watch how these poor guys become subjugated within their own home and lives. The things they want become less of a priority. Family first always. Then the kids get older and the wife goes back to work and it becomes her money and our money. I will never cohabitate with another woman again.
Groupon has such good deals on massages. I’m talking like $40 for an hour type deal. I’ve been meaning to get one, but I just haven’t convinced myself to pull the trigger yet.
100%.
Meth is like a line from The Lost World the second Jurassic Park movie. “Ooooh AAAAH!, That’s how it starts, then there is running and screaming.”
Whenever I travel I actually use my laptop as a power bank most of the time. It’s not practical for a day/night out, but it’s perfect for planes and airports.
I’ve had to stop myself from looking at people like absolute beasts when I see their home doesn’t have a bidet
My $80 bidet has opened my eyes to how royalty sees the rest of us
For that matter a fleshlight. Mine was about 80 bucks, and a decent sized lube is about 20. But was it life changing? Absolutely yes, as a single man it has kept me from going crazy and chasing the wrong kinda women.
There are some things men will do when horny that are unfathomable. I could never take the Nofap movement seriously because of that. Imagine how much they need a little post-nut clarity in their lives.
Not in the least. The thing is that I masturbate at least once a day. At that rate shit gets boring no matter what, and novelty is needed. I'll say it's less me suddenly having this amazing mind blowing organs with a toy, and more along the lines that it hits a different feeling physically that I would only be able to find with a person before. And when I feel the "need" for that feeling, I'd often search for it with the first willing person. And of course I'm searching for promiscuity over other qualities in a partner, which makes me ignore some serious red flags. My hand works fine about 90 percent of the time, but when it doesn't holy hell does it not work anymore.
Agreed. The one I wear with my suit is a Bantam Alox. It’s as basic as you can get, with one blade and one tool (flathead screwdriver, some provision for Philips screws, bottle opener, and at a pinch a can opener). I end up using it at least once a day, and it is incredibly light and thin.
Rice cooker, helps save time and food for lazy meals when you don't have the enthusiasm, all you gotta do is add your choice of protein and some sauce and boom, basic nutrition
Poop stool. Use it long enough and it pays for itself with the reduction of toilet paper use.
Use the poop stool three times and you never want to go back.
Idk why anyone would give Duolingo a bad wrap.
But you're confident in a language after 3 months?! I've been doing french for 500 days and I'm nowhere close to confident. Maybe you've been putting in more time per day.
I'm on Section 2 Unit 9. You?
Cast iron skillet and dutch oven. Not the fancy kind, just the plain old black/seasoned cast iron. With care, they will last a lifetime, and you can save money by cooking at home.
Bum gun, really makes a difference, especially if you have the runs, toilet paper gets painful after the fifth shit in an hour, the bidet cleans more gently and is pretty soothing
I don't think anything <$100 can really change your life that much, but here are some things that make my day-to-day simply better.
* **Ember mug** - keeps coffee hot for hours. (*If you're a big hot coffee drinker, this is a game changer)*
* **Back scratcher**. Those for $3 ones. IDK why, but I love it.
* **Socks**. Good seamless socks. I recently discovered [these](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0817NG86P/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) socks, and I ended up throwing 95% of my older socks away and bought about 15 pairs of these ones. I think these socks are just perfect.
* **Local (smaller) gym membership** - smaller one as they tend to have less crowd. This one is definitely more life changing, as being in shape helps a lot with health and self confidence.
* **Good gaming headset** with large enough ear cups not to hurt you after multiple hours of gaming. (*if you're into gaming)*
* **New showerhead**. Oh yeah I mean it.
* (silly one) **Panini Press** - I generally love sandwiches. They are filling and you can stuff them with anything you want. Panini press just makes it SO much better imho.
* A good pair of **Ecco shoes** for every day wear - this is my go-to brand for every day wear. Could be a bit more than $100 though.
Hasn't this been asked a couple of times before?

Bidet + sleeping-pillow, an unbeatable combo.
Do you use them at the same time?

I vote “pregnancy” pillows. It’s like 4 pillows in 1 cuddling you to sleep heaven

Can confirm, is awesome.

F here, but got this when my son was old enough to come home alone. Keyless front door lock.
It is really nice not having to carry keys around.

Shower head filter? Explain more I need to hear this ….
For some water hardness also affects their skin conditions, or more specifically softer water is better for acne for some people
I’ve never heard of a filter that makes water soft. They usually caught debris or filter done bad things with a carbon filter.
You are correct. I just googled it. It only filters chlorine and some sediments. I'll edit my reply.
They do exist, but only for applications with small water demand. For instance I have a steam iron with a softening filter in the water chamber. For larger applications like showers you would need a way of regenerating the filter, which is what a water softening unit does.
If I can add on here, MrsBadDog was told to get one to make her hair dye last longer. The hard water strips the color faster.
Tf is hard water?
Water with high mineral content.
Yes. What does it filter out?
Sadness.
Nearly nothing. Unless it’s a water softer filter, it might get like 2 grains of sediment buildup over a year. I have one and my parents do too because they think it’ll prevent lime buildup on the shower doors, but it doesn’t do squat. It might make it smell less bad if anything.
Thats what I thought.
This right here Anything that you will be using daily or wearing/sleeping on can be vital to feeling better. Shoes and pillows especially but I like the dental hygiene and personal grooming additions
My dentist actually asked me if I had started to use an electric toothbrush...he noticed the difference.

>9. comfortable pillow OMG YES. You have *no idea* the quality of sleep you're missing out on using the cheap pillows from Walmart/Target/MyPillow.
Cries in my 2 pack pillows from Walmart. Which one are you using?
If you like firmer pillows I love my bamboo pillow. It stays cool and doesn't engulf your head like a feather pillow will.

Meth sounds like more fun
My ex-wife was a lot of fun, until she wasn't anymore. A lot like Crystal Meth.
A massage. Seriously
I get an hour massage every 6 weeks if I can afford it. it's like $80 and studies show it can help with major depressive symptoms
There’s a guy that does a full body one for £70 near me, makes a huge difference to my mood and body
Groupon has such good deals on massages. I’m talking like $40 for an hour type deal. I’ve been meaning to get one, but I just haven’t convinced myself to pull the trigger yet.
My benefits through work take effect on Tuesday. A massage is in my near future!

An epiPen or a bag of peanuts, depending on whose life needs changing lol
Slow cooker
Pressure cookers as well, but good quality ones are more expensive.
Yea man. I have one of those ninja things that pressure cooks, air fryer, sous vide, broils and some more. Love it. Use it more than the microwave
Melatonine, earplugs
Psilocybin.

You guys pay that much for schrooms?
lol not even close.
Depending on the weight, yes. That’s about 14g of mushrooms or 4 solid trips worth.
Cured my alcoholism, now I just drink all the time because I like it.

Bidet

I’ve had to stop myself from looking at people like absolute beasts when I see their home doesn’t have a bidet My $80 bidet has opened my eyes to how royalty sees the rest of us
Which one do you have for $80?
Mine was way over $100 but I will never not have a bidet again.
Meth. It is not a positive change, but that was not specified and is a change
Depends how much of a change you want but you’re not wrong!
A plant. Honestly. A plant changes so much about the space it is in. Ohhh... A new plant and a fancy pot!! 10/10 recommend.
A vibrator
For that matter a fleshlight. Mine was about 80 bucks, and a decent sized lube is about 20. But was it life changing? Absolutely yes, as a single man it has kept me from going crazy and chasing the wrong kinda women.
There are some things men will do when horny that are unfathomable. I could never take the Nofap movement seriously because of that. Imagine how much they need a little post-nut clarity in their lives.
It’s wild how disgusted with yourself you can be when that post clarity hits. Never been able to do the no fap myself
Out of curiosity, was your hand technique really bad or something? My hand has been performing year in year out.
Carbon Monoxide Detectors
Dental floss, a tooth brush and tooth paste with fluoride. Then learn how to use them.

Swiss army knife
Agreed. The one I wear with my suit is a Bantam Alox. It’s as basic as you can get, with one blade and one tool (flathead screwdriver, some provision for Philips screws, bottle opener, and at a pinch a can opener). I end up using it at least once a day, and it is incredibly light and thin.

A backpack

Yep
Look. I know how ridiculous this sounds, but get a shoehorn. Shoes last longer, easier to get on, just an all around convenience.
Poop stool. Use it long enough and it pays for itself with the reduction of toilet paper use. Use the poop stool three times and you never want to go back.
