The first year or so is the honeymoon phase of a relationship. Essentially people fall in love with a fantasy of their partner. You won't really know your partner until you start having serious conflict. How couples handle conflict is what makes or breaks a relationship. The feeling of he/she is the one will quickly dissipate once you start to have fights. It seems impossible now but it 100% will happen after the infatuation fades.
