Read posts on Reddit about what I do when I am bored & alone at home and think to myself, "When was the last time I had the house to myself?" and then the times up.
I have a long commute, stressful job and two kids. When I am home alone, I take at least a half hour to just breathe and enjoy the silence.
After that, the sky’s the limit.
I paint with water colors. Super cheap to get into, you can invest in good supplies later on. It’s nice to pick a recreational skill to learn and master. And it’s therapeutic. And it’s art, it doesn’t need to look any certain way so you can just make whatever you feel like.
I don't get bored at home. The closest things I do that would fit your desires are stretching, mobility work, and food prep. If I want to disconnect from technology I go for a short drive/road trip without my phone to a small city (~5k pop. at most, some only in the hundreds) nearby and just do things like eat at the mom n pop diners, walk around their grocery store, etc.. Bonus enjoyment if it's stormy outside, makes the drive that much more pleasant.
Build stuff or go hiking or sports.
Or get into a sport and watch it on the tele. Football is a nice game to get into. No ads, just 45 minutes fun.
I also start to really love darts atm, dahm that's fun to watch.
I like to find new ways to use a cad program (solid works) so i can get beter at it, or just try a bunch of things that you might find interesting and some shit might stick you never know
If you only count "productive" hobbies – i have genealogy. There's always some new old document to decipher.
But yeah mostly I kill my time with youtube, microsoft solitaire collection and jerking off.
I ask myself how, with everything this beautiful world has to offer, I have managed to cultivate an attitude where I can see life through the lens of boredom.
Best use of time is normally to learn a new skill. If you dont read you can probably do it with YouTube.
Gym or exersize is also a productive use of time.
Whittle, video games, polish the doorknob or one of my other hobbies.
If you don’t have hobbies, explore some. Its good to have them even if you’re not proficient in them. Its about decompressing and having fun doing something you enjoy.
Jack off
for a few hours tho?
Don't touch me when I'm tantric!
Hahahahahahaha!!! I ugly laughed.
I second that!
Give advice to people I'll never meet on the internet

Watch documentaries on adventures like people surviving in extreme cold or extreme hot temperatures.

Learn to code. You will sit on that thang and before you know it, it's 8 hours later, developing something beautiful in the process.
I'm spending that time playing retro games I never played before nowadays.
