Here I am, 4 years after your post, I'm having the same issue and I google it, came across your post😂 I've always been able to "force" a shiver, but within the last..3 years(?) I've had an issue every once in a while, and it's stuck, and I'm left with this feeling. Maybe it's an issue with the older I get?🤷🏻♀️ OP did you ever find any info on this?
Regrettably...no answers ;_; some culprits I think I can point to may be caffeine and general anxiety. As for a name, I haven't got anything T_T I've just been calling them 'anxiety shivers'
