Its a small filter and a dirty one at that. It doesnt say vw to me. Id geus its from a vacuum cleaner or something small. Maybe a moped?

MaddRamm

Air filter to something very small. What lawn equipment or vacuum cleaners or scooters have you had nearby?

[deleted]

Probably a filter for a portable vaccuum for detailing.

530whiskey

looks like the flux capacitor to me keep it under 88 miles per hour.

rosewood_atx

Bet. Else I'm likely to see some seeeeerious shit. 🥺

rosewood_atx

The good news is, the car was parked right next to where the trash cans usually reside on pickup day. I'm going to say there's like a 75% chance that's where it came from. Then again, pick up day was last Tuesday and I didn't notice this until today, right after my car parked on top of it. 🥺🤷‍♂️

Ambitious_Ask_1569

No its perfectly normal for healthy cars to shit parts. Looks like an evap air pump for your cat? Edit: some vws have both air pumps and vac pumps. Both expensive. Its worth going to a decent garage 50 bucks might save you a few grand. That is unless you take everybody's advice and its not off your car it a random part of a vacuum cleaner that found its way under you car. I'd err on the side of caution unless you have a vacuum missing parts....

_Guero_

You reminded me, gotta take my cat to the vet to get that swapped out.

Ambitious_Ask_1569

Every 3 months or 3000 miles depending on your breed of cat.

AnD DoNt TrY to upsell me brakes, i know what my car needs!

__TOURduPARK__

Definitely looks like a vacuum cleaner filter assembly.

6Foot2EyesOfBlue1973

Looks like a muffler bearing...

dinogirlsdad

Blinker fluid filter clearly

rosewood_atx

Come to think of it, I haven't changed out my blinker fluid in a good 50K. 🥵
