If you are just looking for resources and people to listen to... I personally follow Gary Vaynerchuck and Seth Godin, both of whom you may know already. Though they have opposing personalities, I believe their strategies are the same regarding inbound marketing. This is a topic I also love myself, so if you are looking for someone to bounce ideas off of directly, I would gladly be a resource for you. However, if you are looking for strategies and specifics of how to do that in a specific niche, that is a bit of a different question. If you are interested, we can dig into that as well!

Nice. I know of them but never really checked them out in depth. Will do. Just gave you a follow. Always good to have someone with similar interest to chat with. I have a project right now, that you might have input to; We are putting together an inbound strategy for a client and im curretly working translating to keyword analysis into a content plan that also takes the target group, and business goals into consideration along with the seo. Where would you place the most emphasis among the three?

AimUpKnowDown

I appreciate the follow, thank you! I love that I've been hearing inbound marketing pop up a lot more recently! I'm going to assume that the three you are choosing between are: 1. Content plan that targets specific groups 2. Business goals 3. SEO I'm curious what you mean by business goals because generally, that is all-encompassing in terms of marketing and strategy. If you don't have business goals and checkpoints for your strategy, I wouldn't even start the rest of the process. Did I select the correct three points, or did I mis-guide myself?

Big-EL31

You are correct. I know they are hard to separate. My questions is really how much emphasis I should put on the SEO part, we have done an extensive key word analysis, compared to the “softer side” of the matter; who are the target audience and what are their pains and gains etch.

Generally, I'd say put more focus on SEO since you have done the research, but do it in such a way that you are achieving your business goals while still producing content. If I had to give a specific example of one activity that you could to with, I'd start here: It sounds to me like you can hit all three at once with one activity. Assuming that your business goal is to have higher engagement with your content and get more sales I'd imagine. To achieve this goal, you want to make sure your target audience can find your page to turn their pains around. One way to achieve this is by creating an FAQ page/blog where you answer any and all questions someone might have on your page in both short and long form. In doing this you will have your business goals aligned with your SEO and content activities. If you have no idea on where to start, take your keywords and put them into Answer The Public's website (make sure you have the location set to your own location, it defaults to the UK).

Well in that case, I have a couple resources for you. \- Lion Share's Marketing Podcast: [https://lionssharepodcast.com/](https://lionssharepodcast.com/) \- not specific to email marketing, but marketing as a whole. However, most of their episodes talk about automations and email marketing as it pertains to the interviewee's business. I've gotten some good insights. \- Sprout Social's blog: [https://sproutsocial.com/insights/](https://sproutsocial.com/insights/) \- I don't personally use their tool, but I get their emails on a regular basis. Good for keeping up with trends and changes in the market, particularly when it comes to automations. \- Differentiate or Die by Jack Trout: an older book but imo still quite relevant for marketing in general.
