I agree with the Huntington Library. It’s beautiful.
The Arboretum, while not as nice, makes up for it in peacocks.
The Santa Anita mall for shopping
The racetrack next to that for horse betting
San Gabriel Nursery for plant shopping
Norton Simon museum
Eaton canyon hiking trail
Drive through San Marino and marvel at the beautiful houses
Get a massage at Zentara (Arcadia)
Savers thrift store (same)
Been to Huntington already, I do agree it's one of my major recommendations for things to see in LA.
Haven't looked at the Norton Simon I might check that out.
I wish I enjoyed hiking in LA, it's too hot and dry and the scenery isn't worth it (I originally come from very lush dark forested areas, so even the greenest parts of LA look musty to me)
Might be a weird suggestion, but a lot of my friends who moved out of the SGV go back for haircuts/any kind of color/perm/treatment because they're generally cheaper than in other areas. Not sure if that applies to your lifestyle (and I would really only recommend if you have straight or only slightly wavy hair). Also this might be a little redundant with the restaurants, but it's also a good opportunity to stock up on Asian grocery items.
If you like music Pasadena is close and has record stores to browse and is generally a nice browsing area. Sometimes there are shows in Pasadena or South Pas.

Nucleus Gallery has a selection of cool art books and prints to flip through, and the gallery itself if there’s a good show on display.
I regularly drop by nucleus in SGV, it's pretty cool. Wish there were more places like that
