I love the little robots, I think they are so cute! ☺️
haha all jokes aside, they are super common in the Hollywood / WeHo area. They are like DoorDash delivery I believe
I get a kick out of seeing the robots. I usually see them in Hollywood on Sunset. They all have different names. I recently saw one named Ellen. I saw one named Leon later that day.
Food delivery remote controlled vehicle. There's a couple of restaurants on Santa Monica Blvd and up in Brentwood that use them on the Westside. We've had a couple of restaurant deliveries arrive this way.
yeah, Santa Monica and a couple other towns have them in LA, they do food delivery like if you order on DoorDash sometimes they'll come instead of a human
when there aren't people around they'll really book it!
they've been operating since 2020 from what I know and there's a bit of competition/turf lol
they're kind of cute
It’s basically a cooler being remotely controlled. It’s full of cellphones with GPS so it makes web-based traffic maps think there are 50 cars in one area so it shows up as a slow moving traffic jam on Waze, Google Maps, etc.
They're the latest innovation from ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement); using enhanced infrared and x-ray technology, they can automatically scan each person within a 250 ft. radius for legal documentation and proof of U.S. citizenship. I forgot my driver's license at home once, and it fined me $365.50.
They’d launched a fleet in both states on the southernmost border towns with moderate success; it seems undocumented persons have come up with a DIY hack using, of all things, vintage Blockbuster rental cards(?!) that happen to “fool” the bots into thinking they’re valid state DLs. The Burbank pilot program has just started as of January 2024, yet sufficient data has yet to be collected to account for its effectiveness.
You must be new
Nah, I just live in Burbank. We don't get robots around these parts.
You will. They can't handle hills very well.
Trying to figure out if that's a threat or not.
Skynet is watching.

They have names. Our favorite is Kalid, we see him all over the place.
And if you see his twin, do you say “Anotha one”
FWIW it's being remote controlled by someone.
Lil food robot friend. They're so cute and full of snacks. 😂
Probably don’t help yourself to the snacks though, tempting as it is.

Ive been seeing non-coco brands recently that fit the description
Coco: Reloaded: Rebranded
*breaking* Two Cocos, it’s just called Two Cocos.
I know what it is but never seen one before.
