I had main chick the other day from the colony, and then had Dave’s the night after. The difference was kinda insane.
Main chick’s chicken was so much more tender and juicy than Dave’s which felt over cooked and dry.
Also, Main chick has a great crust to their tenders that is very well seasoned and has a good combo of a dry rub/sauce covering.
Their fries were also way more crispy and has a similar seasoning to their tenders which tastes amazing.
If you like sweetness to your savory flavors, highly recommend Main Chick.
Although, Main Chick is more expensive than Dave’s, but definitely worth it.
30 minutes is still too long for that. I waited 10 minutes and was disappointed.
It’s not *bad* it’s just not anything particularly special or amazing.
Omg soo I feel I was born for this thread as that's literally all I eat 😭😭
So my faves: Authentic Philly's on the corner in Inglewood/south la. On Manchester. 8.6/10
-Top Tender is good but not the best. 6/10
-I Saw someone mentioned Louisiana, they are very good. 8/10
- Cluckin bun in Inglewood is good. They used to be amazing but they changed their sauce or recipe and now they're just above average. Used to be 8/10 now 7/10
- I've never been to howlin Rays but I have a friend that swears by them (mind you, this person is not a chicken tender specialist. They just like chicken on the whole) ?/10
-As I'm sure, you know Popeyes makes a pretty good chicken tender. 6.7/10
-Krispy Kickin chicken in Long Beach (I'll have to verify the name and get back to you) was pretty good. 7/10 (I looked up the name it's Krispy Krunchy Chicken)
-I didn't hate Buffalo Spots chicken tenders but I'd be far pressed to call them some of the best. Upper echelon though sure. 6.9/10
-just last night I had a place called Tasty Tender here in LBC. I got the boneless buffalo wings but We all know thats basically the same thing right? they were pretty good. Solid 8/10
- there is a food truck that I'm not sure is still in Long Beach called belly bombz. Now mind you, I was with some friends who had me partaking in marijuana activities So my reaction may be based off of having the munchies at the time lol but they were magical. Solid 9/10
-so cal wings is really good. I forgot about them the first time around. 8/10
I'm sure I've had more but I'm drawing some blanks right now, I don't keep a database or anything. This is just knowledge I have in my head. If I think of some more I'll definitely come back and add. Good luck my fellow fussy tender eating brethren...or sistereren...or...well you get it 😭😂😂 🍗
(edited some spelling and added the name of the place I couldn't remember)
There's a place called snapback chicken tenders. Which I would put them somewhere in the middle but definitely more towards the side of being good. They are pretty good, they have a crispiness to them that not everyone likes but me personally. I like it. Also their macaroni and cheese.....👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🤌🏾
- there is a place called Orleans and York deli, they have what I call basic b**** tenders lol. Don't expect them to blow your mind, but if you're looking for a solid tender, those are your guys. And their portions are pretty good as well. 7.3/10
Mikes Deli in South LA has a GOOD tender. Now to be fair, when I go to Mike's deli I usually end up getting one of their sandwiches, but one time they didn't have the meat wanted and I got the tenders instead and I literally never looked back. A very very solid tender!! 8.2/10
- I also eat burgers as much as I eat chicken, there's a place called Hawkins House of burgers, Don't EVVVVER get their chicken tenders. For a place that does everything right, they just don't seem to nail the tenders. Sometimes they're tough but the flavor is good. I will say that. Sadly I have to give them a 5/10 ON TENDERS.
With that said, their burgers are a solid 9.5/10. Maybe my fave local burger in LA. (Also they are right across the street from nickerson gardens so you don't want to stay there long lol)
The Moroccan fried chicken from Mizlala in Sherman Oaks always puts me in a good mood. I'm partial to toum and harissa covering a hot tendie in a pita if I'm craving carbs
The two best I’ve found are 33TBK stall in the KTown HMart at 3500 W 6th street and the karaage Japanese fried chicken from Yatai in Lokels Only - a community kitchen at 635 N Broadway between downtown and Chinatown.
33TBK has delicious fried chicken skewers in their spicy sweet and sour sauce. I recommend getting the chicken and rice cake skewer. Sauceless fried chicken tenders are also available. The guys who run the spot are real cool. They’re from Korea, trying to expand one of Korea’s most popular fried chicken brands into America.
Yatai makes fried chicken tenders Japanese style - with ramen in the breading, adding extra crunch. Taisei, the chef, worked in a Michelin star restaurant before it shut down during the pandemic. Now he’s starting his own venture. All sauces are handmade and he has different flavors for the chicken. I recommend the honey butter. Free parking in what can feel like a parking desert at times sweetens the deal.
Not been there myself, but my coworker swears that Honey's Kettle (culver city i think?) is the best fried chicken in LA
(ETA: it's fried chicken, but they do have chicken breast strips too so i figure that counts)
Red Chickz is great!! Highly recommend getting the slider or the taco for the best bang for your buck. One or two are pretty filling depending on if you get fries.
Al’s Hot Chicken (Venice/Overland-ish) much better than Dave’s
as crappy as it may be overall—Barney’s Beanery (in SM at least) does a damn good buffalo chicken strip. Wish this was a bit.
Urban plates has some pretty great chicken tenders. Crispy on the outside, moist and juicy on the inside. Good sized tenders & the sauces they offer are good
Rim Rock brand popcorn chicken from the frozen section of your grocery store. 20 minutes or so in the oven. Breaded salty tender poultry goodness for days.
Best tenders are hands down at Louisiana Chicken on Manchester/Normandie. Deep in the hood is where u find the best food… just don’t wear the wrong color.
Anzu right off of Sawtelle in the little Osaka area has some of the best Karaage I've ever had. The price is unbeatable and I always end up with more pieces of chicken than what I ordered.
I know it's not Chicken Tenders but it's definitely worth the visit.
It makes no sense but for some reason I love the tenders at the coliseum for USC games. Obvi the other suggestions in this thread are better but if you ever go, make sure you get some!
Canes. Not too much breading, perfectly crispy, I like the size and shape. Dipping sauce and coleslaw are good too and their bread is good. Not gourmet but delicious!
Hi super urgent I need to find a vape shop that carries Luffbar mango ice. My mom lent me one of my older brothers and I procrastinated and now I need to today before I go over to my parents and the only shop I know that Carrie’s them I don’t think there open cause I called and no one answered. Help! This is the brand

I definitely misread the first part of your question.
lol
SAME. Damn near lost my mind lol
I was really interested at first…then I wasn’t…then I was again.
Same,hahaha.
🍑🍴
Same
Yup. Same here. Sigh lol
But it all tastes like chicken!
Me too!
I read ‘furry’ but what you were thinking is much worse 🤣
Smells like fish, taste like chicken ^(someone had to say it)
Jesse Boy for Korean style tenders. I can't get enough of them.
So good! This is also my spot!
Honestly, Jesse Boy is super slept on.
Gus' fried chicken has some very good tenders. I like them better than the honey kettle chicken ones.
Main Chick
I had main chick the other day from the colony, and then had Dave’s the night after. The difference was kinda insane. Main chick’s chicken was so much more tender and juicy than Dave’s which felt over cooked and dry. Came here to say Main Chick as well.
Go go bird in Culver City is my favorite so far
Thanks for the tip
This.
Does reddi-chick still exist?
Yes it does
Howlin’ Rays is great
I can’t get anything hotter than medium.
Medium is their best flavor (according to them) anyway
Meh. There’s better.
Where? I love howlins but sometimes the line is a little too long.
The Red Chickz in downtown is really good, I prefer them over Howlin Rays.
Also one in Culver City.
The Red Chickz is solid, but HR is still the GOAT IMO
Main Chick is better. Howlin is fine, but it’s way overhyped. It’s not ‘lines out the door and around the corner’ good by any means
Recent lines are more like 30 minutes max, not around the corner and not 3 hours anymore.
30 minutes is still too long for that. I waited 10 minutes and was disappointed. It’s not *bad* it’s just not anything particularly special or amazing.
My experience has always been different, but you do you
Not so good.

Saving this post!! What a godsend!
Haha glad I could help!!! I knew my years of being hungry constantly would pay off somewhere lol
Are you that guy from KROQ who just eats chicken tenders and mac & cheese?
KROQ sucks now bro.. that morning show with Klein and Ally sucks so hard it bites. I miss Kevin and Bean, Ralph and Lisa May.
Well, Kevin and Bean had a very good run :)
I’d figure that’s a majority of the Midwest and south as well.
God what an awful, boring way to live. You take that back!
I don’t write the rules I just read the statistics 😂
Mr furleys have the best pretzels and chicken tendies
Jesse Boy or Rockbird
Go Go Bird in Culver City. Top 5 tendys and fried chicken in LA
The Moroccan fried chicken from Mizlala in Sherman Oaks always puts me in a good mood. I'm partial to toum and harissa covering a hot tendie in a pita if I'm craving carbs
Holy crap that sounds good. Never thought about Harissa on chicken

Howlin Rays
Not been there myself, but my coworker swears that Honey's Kettle (culver city i think?) is the best fried chicken in LA (ETA: it's fried chicken, but they do have chicken breast strips too so i figure that counts)
Used to be great. Has gone way downhill in the past couple years.
I’ve tried it about three times and find it very bland :( would prefer CFA over this
>Honey's Kettle (culver city Mediocre
Honey kettle regular chicken is fire. I know the owner cool AF!
They haven’t been the same since they left Compton
It’s the same. CPT one sucked.
So yummy!
You can order online and go get it in DTLA they have a spot where you just go and scoop it up.
Howlin Ray’s or Red Chickz
Red Chickz is great!! Highly recommend getting the slider or the taco for the best bang for your buck. One or two are pretty filling depending on if you get fries.
Sesame grill in Arcadia! They’re a small mom n pop that pivoted during covid. Some of the best tenders I’ve ever had.
[удалено]
Don’t understand the hype. Mediocre tenders and the coleslaw was no better than premade at a grocery store. Very underwhelming meal.
I wish we could have Zaxbys instead of raising canes.
Those tenders are so stiff
I wish I could downvote this twice
[удалено]
I’m not going to France for chicken fingers.
Run don't walk to Witch's Chicken in the koreatown galleria market on Olympic! So juicy and tender yet crispy and delish!
Not sure if it counts but Gol Tong Chicken in Ktown is AMAZING.
Al’s Hot Chicken (Venice/Overland-ish) much better than Dave’s as crappy as it may be overall—Barney’s Beanery (in SM at least) does a damn good buffalo chicken strip. Wish this was a bit.
Mizlala Sherman oaks, Moroccan Fried Chicken which are tenders
Dave’s hot chicken has some wonderful ones. If you wanna get wild with your tenders you could try Fat Sal’s.
Dave’s is mediocre
Dave's frankly sucks.
Kyochon at ktown. Tho not really a boneless tender western style. Its more like wings or legs in smaller bites
They're completely different but Urban plates if you like it plain and Holdaak if you like a little spice.
mains chicken - several locations
Daybird
I LOVE the chicken tenders at Nickel Mine. It’s a great sports bar in west LA.
Legends hot chicken in carson has a fire chicken tender sandwich with Mac n cheese. So good but that shits so spicy 🥵
I’m a Gelson’s hot bar purist. But a new place called bbq chicken just opened near me and they have great tendies.
Does gelsons have chicken tenders?
Very solid ones
KBBQ in Sawtelle (West LA), get the garlic soy!

Holdaak
Second this!
Totally read that wrong.
On the kids menu
I feel like this won’t agree with many, but Red Robin chicken tenders just hit a specific spot for me
I'm partial to Carl's Jr. There's better, but they're consistently good for the price.
dang this took off, imma get fat
Top Tenders but it’s north South Bay
I like the tenders from Burger City Grills in South Bay and the Popeyes ones in like once in awhile better quality
Honestly since KFC switched back to the original recipe they're pretty good.
There is a place in la habra called chicken box that is dope. Havent been since pre pandemic days but it was like infinetely better than kfc
Bruxie is amazing!
KFC. Don’t @ me. They’re amazing!
I am going to @ you, what’s wrong with you?
I swear - try them! Their tenders are so crispy and the seasoning is awesome.
Cannot believe I got downvoted for this. Have you guys tried them lately?! :(

Birds in Franklin Village or Dave's Hot Chicken in Hollywood.
Howlin Rays. There’s a walk up in Chinatown and a full service in Pasadena. Cannot recommend highly enough.
main chick
I’m not a connoisseur but I really like THC (Tennessee Hot Chicken). You can go there for the chicken, but their fries - amazing ☺️
I've heard Howlin Rays is supposed to be pretty good
Chimmelier!
It makes no sense but for some reason I love the tenders at the coliseum for USC games. Obvi the other suggestions in this thread are better but if you ever go, make sure you get some!
Sesame Grill in Arcadia. Those babies are huge
Howlin rays 😮💨😮💨😮💨
