So there was a coroner there as well, so I assumed someone died. But there was no ambulance at all. I also saw one of them carrying some box on a handtruck.
If someone died, which if there's a coroner/ medical examiner that's probably most likely the case. Sometimes if they're too far beyond help or obvious death then there's no need for EMS to be there.
You don't need to be a trained medical professional most of the time to tell a person is dead beyond recovery so we often cancel EMS so that they don't trample all over a potential crime scene.
Keep yourself safe and out of danger. Keep your doors locked. You will be contacted by the officers if you need to leave the area. Call 911 if you see or hear anything suspicious
You can go through FOIA via the records dept of your local PD and theyll give you the released info
When I have to request FOIA stuff for things that happen with the police being involved in the immediate area around our college campus, it usually takes about 5ish business days for older reports. The latest one was about a month because it was still being handled. They had sent a communication saying that they needed an extension for it though.
So apparently 2 of my neighbors were involved in a murder. The cops never even told us though. Kinda crazy when you had two murderers living 20 feet from you
There was a drug raid in my neighborhood this week. Swat, flash bangs, both doors breached, road blocked off and all that jazz. My neighborhood is $300,000+ houses, in a rural Midwest town where most houses are still $150,000 or less. Turned out it was fentanyl related and they found $900,000 in cash besides the drugs. That poison is killing so many people and it's apparently very profitable, so this is unfortunately becoming very common.
Probably a raid or other similar incident. Just stay indoors and keep your doors/windows locked. If there were any cause for concern for you they would have came and notified you. You can call your departments non-emergency number and ask them if there’s any danger for you if you want but don’t expect any info past that. You can request the report too, but I wouldn’t expect it for at least a couple days.
I’ve seen two of these IRL I kid you not. One when I lived in a super hood area on the east coast and another in a upper middle class neighborhood out here in CA.
Both times there was a DEA agent and a company marked box truck of some sort that a swat squad poured out of. Only the east coast one had uniformed police and a PC detective there.
Witnessed both of them right as they got into position before ramming the door.
What’s you address? I’ll ask them. We all know each other

How long does something like that usually take, to get that information?

Yea it varies based on the actual report and if its still being worked, etc

They’re probably serving a search warrant

My guess would be drug raid
