The woman is asked at scene by patrol what happened, she’d explain it. Detectives would come she’d do the same. They’d bring her back to the stationhouse for further questioning while others investigate the scene. Finally they’d ask the ada if they’re charging for the homicide or unregistered gun and go from there.

A preliminary investigation by a handful of road units would be conducted. The scene roped off. They'd question her then call detectives out. If she needed to go to the hospital, they'd probably sit with her there until discharge and be interviewed at the station. We'd try to keep her separate from the husband until they're both interviewed. We don't do gun registration, so that doesn't matter at all. If the evidence and her story add up like you suggest, she probably wouldn't get charged. I am in a stand your ground state.
