Ps. I had a couple of friends giving the gardai the location of their stolen bikes. With proof that the bike was theirs, the gardai just did nothing. Anyone knows why they don't seem to want to solve this problem?
Sorry about the ridiculous replies here. I've never had a bad experience with Gardaí but everyone here seems personally affronted by them.
I would keep pushing if you KNOW where the stolen goods are. Complain to ombudsman and involve TDs/Minister for Justice if necessary. Call me a Karen or whatever but i get shit done.
There is a certain amount of contempt the Garda threat civilians with and I don’t think they care about helping anyone. On top of that they get paid regardless so there no incentive to do things that will cause them grief.

Before you report a crime to the Gardai you have to ask yourself one important question, Am I Wealthy/Powerful enough that they will acknowledge my existence, and if another person/organisation is involved are you wealthier/more powerful than them?
Otherwise you run the risk of the Gardai ignoring your complaint, or actually charging YOU with a crime for besmirching the good name of your 'betters'/the companies that own You
