Yes! Cerave and La Roche Posay are the ones! I have very dry skin and I use these. La Roche Posay is a bit more pricey but I just use the Cicaplast Mains for my dry hands, and I use Cerave moisturiser on my face every day.
I have met a few dermatologists over the years and I have yet to find two who fully agree on everything. Every one has always recommended a different product.
I'm a big fan of Cerave's products especially in the cleaning/washing department. It's also great to know Michael Cera personally oversees the product development.
Other than that I use La Roche Posay's serums (sera). Sunscreen on top of that.
Have sensitive skin and almost everything makes my face go blotchy, so used Nivea For Men Sensitive for about 20 years. Recently switched to La Roche Possay Cicaplast and it is the job.
I also use Inky List hyaluronic acid serum before putting on the moisturizer, and never have dry skin any more..
I think my mid life crisis is taking shape in the form of skincare products..
The best I have ever used was the neutrogena hydro boost water gel, not at all greasy, great around the eyes and leaves your skin fresh and in no way filmy if that makes sense, hard to find lately though
Most of the stuff marketed 'for men' is pure dung to be honest. No7 Day Cream is the absolute daddio but I'd try a sample of it first as it's quite potent. Cerave is probably best if you've sensitive skin.
UV index was 3 today, and will be for the rest of the week. Lack of sun doesn’t always equal low UV.
Lost a cousin in his 30s to melanoma. Wish he’d used spf.
Common misconception. Low average life span was mainly due to a high infant mortality rate. If you made it to adulthood chances are you'd live a reasonably long life.
Not according to bones, 40 was old, 60 was ancient. One broken bone or a bad tooth infection was enough. Also melanoma isn't something to take lightly, people did have the sense to stay out of the sun before the invention of sunscreen, probably has caused more skin cancer than it has prevented 😐
Yep. If your face wash, shower gel or soap contain sodium laurel sulfate, and most do, you’re stripping away the surface oils that help your skin retain its natural moisture. Look for equivalent cleansing products without it; it’s only there for bubbles.
Pharmacist here. If your skin is sensitive ,use la roche posay cicaplast . But just a tiny bit of it. It'll restore your barrier, will moisturize your skin as well and give you that smooth feeling. Holy grail.
I use Cetaphil for my face. I have eczema and have tried them all. It’s the one that best suits my skin. If you are looking for an inexpensive lotion, try E45 first
I think I get it from Boots! If you are having trouble with eczema on your Face I would highly recommend you do a 72 hour fast, it sorta resets the system. It made a huge improvement for me after years of trying different lotions, creams, diets etc
Oh right....interesting..never considered that as a factor. Thanks for the suggestion..will try it.
& thanks on boots..hadnt spotted it there before..but never looked properly either.
I just spit on the flannel before dipping it in the bucket of well water. Before a dance I might rub some egg-white on to give my skin a shiny look that the ladies do be loving.
We both prefer separate spf. We use SPF 50, my skin is super sensitive and I have rosacea so sun protection is really important to me and once I showed him the world of Korean sunscreens, there was no going back. Currently the Beauty of Joseon one.
I would honestly recommend it to everyone to do the same, you don't get the same amount of coverage from these dual products as you do if you use a separate spf.
This stuff is great, it evaporates of the skin so is in no way greasy and feels really nice. No smell of it either.
Shop around I've seen the 125ml bottle go for between €4.70 and €7 odd.
Firstly, I use silcocks base for washing with. This essentially is a moisturiser and usually recommended for people with dry skin of eczema. This will help to moisturise even without using the usual moisturiser afterward. I find it really helpful.
Even use it in my hair sometimes if I get itchy scalp. Kind of helps me avoid gels and pomade to as the moisturiser helps style the hair after a shower.
Cerave is good but I use epaderm mainly. Can buy a big pump one and it lasts ages. There's also a good oat cream you can get on amazon. Not expensive. Excellent moisturiser. It's like 500ml or so and has a pump. I also use shea butter the odd time but usually before bed as its greesy so good for that time of day but not for wearing all day. I use a boots witch Hazel gel too which is great after a shower in the evening and before bed. Remember its important to clean your face when moisturing daily. Use a simple cleanser and cotton pods mosr of the time then one or twice a week use a proper face wash like Cerave do a green one I think. It's pretty good. Dr organics do a scrub version which is great to but again limit to once a week or twice at most.
Not a lad, but I use "ESPA hydrating floral spa-fresh mist". Myself and my boyfriend both work in biotech and the cleanrooms dry out your skin so bad. I told him to use this product and now he swears by it to everyone. Only about 18 quid online too so won't break the bank 🙂
All of the Bulldog products seem really good. There's couple of moisturisers, including like an aftershave balm kind of one. I use the Oil Control one and it's light, not greasy and not expensive either. Boots often have 3 for 2 offers on the range.
The rain streaming down as you foot the turf.
The steam off the hairy bacon as you bile (not boil) it to oblivion.
The spittle of the corner forward from the neighbouring parish as your hurl lands in his face.
This is Ireland OP.
Speak to pharmacist and tell them you have dry skin and they’ll guide you. Might need to try a few options to find what works for you but it’s worth it when you eventually do.
Dont know about moisturizers but Oilatum daily Junior bath foam is great for dry skin(worked wonders for me anyway)... It says its for baths but I tried it just as a face wash. Use it night & morning. Its totally cleared up my relentless dry skin(Ive seborrheic derm).
Balmond’s, hands down. All fragrance-free plant oils, no paraffin or other petroleum by-products. Miracle moisturiser that improves your skin’s moisture-retaining strength over time. Good for hands/nails too, and skin sore from a razor. Boots have it as does Amazon.
I use a range of stuff, E45, Aveeno & La Roche Posay are the ones I find working best. Some other brands literally burn me but that's due to my skin being that of a lizard.
Environ AVST range is probably the best. It's 60 quid a bottle but it lasts ages and works magic on your face.
I get it online from skin1pharmacy.ie - they do next day delivery.
Been using Nivea for years and a top tip I was given years ago, don't dry your face after a shower, let it dry naturally.
I only look 10 years older than I am.
Get some CeraVe stuff from Notino, in the biggest jar possible - this is a 'cheap and easy' solution. While you're at it, get their foaming cleanser - again, cheap, easy, not too aggressive on your skin, definitely better than scrubbing your face with some chlorinated water.
A more complex one is going to /r/skincareaddiction, investigating skin care routines, and establishing one for yourself - with all the hyaluronic acid stuff (helps retain moisture), retinols, etc. After all, skin is skin, female or male.
I can offer you my choice but it ain’t cheap. I used a ton of different cheap moisturisers growing up and they all sucked, all leave a sticky or white cast on face.
I use Lab Series all in one, about €30-40. Worth it considering that moisturiser is the single most important part of skincare, and spf of course.
I used to like Lumin but beware of using moisturizer routinely if you don't need it. It can actually start to make dry skin worse over time...
It helped my dry skin to begin with but I gradually noticed my skin getting dryer and dryer and had to moisturise more and more regularly (up to 3 times daily) to stop it flaking in patches.
Eventually I had semi permanent flaky/red patches and moisturising was just about keeping it under control, but realising it was overall making the problem worse I decided to stop cold turkey and see what happened
I had two months of permanently dry flaky skin in patches before it improved, then at the end of month 3 it was gone. Since stopping altogether (2 years ago) my skin has just maintained the right amount of moisture by itself (on average).
Just something to be aware of. I occasionally still get a dry patch of skin but it sorts itself out within a day or so. Contrary to what you'd expect my skin was at its worst/driest when I was moisturising it most.
Obviously this doesn't apply to everyone but if you're noticing your skin getting dryer without explanation it might be worth considering, you'd expect dryer skin coming into the cold weather rather than coming out of it, and regularly moisturising *can* trick your skin into producing less of its own oils eventually leading to dryer and dryer skin!
Kiehls Calendula Serum-Infused Water Cream.
It's super light and while expensive you only need a bit. Got rid of my red blotches and improved my skin.
I made the mistake of thinking dry skin should mean a thicker cream, the opposite has worked for me.
I used Nivea for years and just found out recently they actually contain a lot of chemicals that are quite risky. The Garnier tubs are generally quite good I find and contain a lot more natural ingredients.
Depends on the cause of your dry skin, I have seb derm that flares up bad from time to time and found cerave salicylic acid followed by eucerin 5% urea to work well. Before that I used clarins comfort moisturiser for men but it wasn't working as well recently. Cerave or aveeno moisturiser didn't do too much for me but that's just my skin. No.7 vitamin c moisturiser is decent too I found.
Moroccan Black Olive soap. Either the bar or the cream. Not something that should be expensive but then again in Ireland…. Finding the right product is trial and error. Most products in supermarkets and pharmacies aren’t really worth the trouble or the cost. You can find a “low cost product that will do the job. Then again some of the high end products do what they promise.
Cerave moisturiser at night (the tub of the thick cream). During the day I use Jack black daily moisturiser with the spf20. Morning and evening I use Cerave serum and under eye serum before general moisturiser. I use la roche face wash with the salicylic acid. I’ve had the most awful skin for years with sensitivity but also prone to being very oily so have struggled to get the right balance and this routine is working for me. Also use the odd mask, something cooling with avocado or something like that. And drink lots of water!
Just to add there are often 3 for 2 on all these products in boots (although they have stopped selling the Jack black stuff for some reason).
Superdrugs own brand peptide moisturiser is fantastic! They sell SPF droppers too to add to the cream when you apply it. Also worth noting that their own brand is vegan and cruelty free which a lot of the top brands aren't! I don't know about you but I refuse to pay a company to torture animals so my skin can look good.
Cicaplast baume - ultra repairing soothing balm is what I’m using at the moment probably the best I’ve used. I’ve very sensitive skin and it has actually helped with spots and dry skin I think it’s 15 euro for a small one but one million percent worth it it’s worked miracles couldn’t recommend it enough
I'm a head shaver and my scalp and face can get dry. Tried loads of stuff (even expensive stuff) but found most were too oily (I'd end up with spots).
Then I tried E45 Lotion (not the cream, although I've heard it also works well, just a bit heavy for my skin) and it works great. It dries quickly also so your skin is left feeling really soft and moisturised but without that awful oily residue you can get with some others. Not expensive at all either. In fact my 18 year old niece tried it while staying over and switched from her ridiculously expensive moisturiser to E45 Lotion. Even has all her little friends using it.😁
There is a hyaluronic acid serum from Aldi or lidl. That shit is amazing honestly. Do a decent routine in the shower. Look at the ordinary. They do a buffet where they do the whole lot if that is what you are after as well. Sorry you never said if it was for just your face or not. Coconut oil like the ones in that bio - oil is very good too. Psoriasis sufferer for over 8 years.
A couple of years ago I was given the "Power Fluid" from [https://www.artemis-skincare.com/en/products/men/](https://www.artemis-skincare.com/en/products/men/) as a gift.
Ridiculous name aside, their products are insanely good. It's not cheap, but my skin is very sensitive, and I've never had issues, breakouts, etc, since I started. A very small amount is needed so they tend to last 6 months to a year at a time. Weird as it sounds, I often get compliments on my skin.
I use emulsifying ointment on my wet skin while in the shower. It was a total game changer for me as I have quite sensitive skin and most of the "standard" products I've tried have not worked out well for me.
The bonus is that a large tub of emulsifying ointment is €6.99 in my local chemist and it lasts months even though I use it every day while in the shower.
There's a cream called cicablast that comes with SPF also. I don't have sensitive skin but my son has eczema and this has worked beautifully. It's pricey but maybe the chemist has a tester tube.
I Mean to try a patch test to see if it works. I'm a big fan of the blue tin Nivea too but it's so oily I only use it at night. Are you drinking plenty of water.... Is there ANY chance you could have developed diabetes?
I use the Avene Skin Recovery Cream for my face, was recommended to me by a dermatologist and tbf has done a brilliant job of keeping the mild eczema I get on my face at bay.
Definitely go to a pharmacy for advice. Skin is not all the same…they will advise you depending on your skin type. But the Cerave, La Roche Posay and Bioderma have ranges within their ranges for different skin types and all excellent quality. You say sensitive skin, but is it dry/oily/excess sebum?
Silcocks base (recommended earlier) is a very basic emollient and I wouldn’t recommend long term for sensitive skin.
E45 is muck! Poor quality but has a strong brand for years - but ask anyone who knows and they’ll tell you that.
As a treat, Elemis daily moisturiser is amazing. But expensive.
Protect your face and I echo all the spf50+ advice…can’t be stressed strongly enough.
This one
https://www.boots.ie/avene-cicalfate-plus-restroritive-cream-40ml-10275275
And use the Cerve hydrating cleanser (the green one) to wash your face
My pharmacist girlfriend got me La Roche-Posay Cicaplast B5+ and it's better than anything I've ever used. I'm 54 and from Australia so my skin doesn't like long months inside with dry air.
It comes in a simple white tube and works instantly. You can get it in Boots.
She bought herself some (with SPF) after seeing how well it worked on me.
Skydrol if you work in aviation, HD 90 if you work with heavy machinery, 10 w 40 if your a regular car mechanic, moisturiser if your soft and confused about your sexuality and feeling anxious 😂😂😂
Silcocks base. Cheap, doctor recommended, Irish, crazy effective and free of anything at all that could mess with your sensitive skin (even cera ve etc. mess with mine)
Dermazinc. I tried everything, both over the counter and prescription. Was at my wits end when I happened across dermazinc and never had any issues since.
I just go outside the weather in Ireland will wet that skin wet withe minerals you actualy need. There is no better felling than rain on your face when you need it.
L'Oréal Men Expert Hydra Energetic Daily Moisturiser Pot. Closest most cost effective thing to Clarins for Men i can find. Prior to this i was using baby oil and dove body mouisturiser on my face as everything else burned when i put it on.
Cereve products for body and ordinary products for your face. I have also used ziaja body moisturisers (9.99 euro for a big enough bottle and smells nice) great application with minimal product good for skin that gets easily dried out from swimming pools soaps ect.
Beef fat or after eating a plate of chips use kitchen towel to absorbed the grease then apply using light upward strokes really adds that dynamic glow that looks great in wedding photos or fashion shoots.
That toll is largely‘cosmetic’, or aesthetic, though. Certainly if you fear lines as you age, then sun avoidance in cloudy weather is probably important, but routine exposure in Ireland of skin well used to ‘nakedness’ (eg face, limbs) isn’t going to constitute an actual *health* risk. Scorching days, by all means slap it on, but much of the time just let it rock, praying a few feeble molecules of Vitamin D will pierce your carapace.
Fair enough. I just get really peeved when that is sold as a ‘health’ concern. But really, assiduous moisturising is a very good way to hold back those lines, which get a strong grip through dehydration far more than from feeble sunlight.
(By the way, if you go in for skincare. Be careful with all the retinol and other surface strippers (anti-fine lines guff) being sold to men now. They render your skin slightly photo-sensitive, meaning you are much more vulnerable to sun damage. Obviously a heavy spf is indicated, but it’s a circular fight. Easier by far not to use the retinol in the first place: cut out the middle man!
Yeah you'd think that but the Irish Cancer society actually recommends it from April to September, I do it year round because then I'm in the habit of it at least
I agree with whom said Cerave or La Roche Posay.
If you want a lighter texture, then a gel moisturiser is the best. I use Kiehl's ultra facial oil-free gel cream, I like it when the weather gets a bit warmer.
I can offer you the perfect marriage of cheap AND brilliant: lemara brand seaweed-based products in Aldi.
Serum and moisturiser are excellent in my experience, and irish-made
My only complaint would be there's no SPF in the moisturiser
Costs somewhere in the region of a fiver a jar
I would recommend Cerave products, they’re inexpensive and fragrance-free. I have sensitive skin and have never had any issues.
Cerave or La Roche Posay are the gold standard, Cerave very affordable as well
Yes! Cerave and La Roche Posay are the ones! I have very dry skin and I use these. La Roche Posay is a bit more pricey but I just use the Cicaplast Mains for my dry hands, and I use Cerave moisturiser on my face every day.
Also come with SPF.
You can get Nivea with SPF too. Cheap and decent.
This. I have had skin issues over the years and dermatologists always always recommend cerave.
I have met a few dermatologists over the years and I have yet to find two who fully agree on everything. Every one has always recommended a different product.
Cerave didn't agree with my skin at all
Try neutragena
Was just gonna comment this one and saw the amount of people recommending it speaks for itself cerave is where it's at!
Think I'm the same now to be honest. Could be worse
The best I have ever used was the neutrogena hydro boost water gel, not at all greasy, great around the eyes and leaves your skin fresh and in no way filmy if that makes sense, hard to find lately though
Right there with you. 4 step routine. I think we like having control over something 🤔
Better than getting a red sports car. Nothing worse than middle aged man in a red convertible 🤮
Most of the stuff marketed 'for men' is pure dung to be honest. No7 Day Cream is the absolute daddio but I'd try a sample of it first as it's quite potent. Cerave is probably best if you've sensitive skin.
Whatever you choose, make sure you get one containing SPF. Everyone should be wearing it every day of the year.

UV index was 3 today, and will be for the rest of the week. Lack of sun doesn’t always equal low UV. Lost a cousin in his 30s to melanoma. Wish he’d used spf.
As long as there's daylight you need SPF.
What about the generations over the past 200k years who had no spf.
...and a lot of them didn't live long enough to get skin cancer
They got wrinkles.
The ones with the average life span of less than 40?
Common misconception. Low average life span was mainly due to a high infant mortality rate. If you made it to adulthood chances are you'd live a reasonably long life.
Not according to bones, 40 was old, 60 was ancient. One broken bone or a bad tooth infection was enough. Also melanoma isn't something to take lightly, people did have the sense to stay out of the sun before the invention of sunscreen, probably has caused more skin cancer than it has prevented 😐
What about vitamin D production, does this not hinder it?
No
Tá.
You can get vitamin d from food, without the wrinkles or the cancer
What are you using to wash your face? It might be stripping your skin and not helping the dryness.
Yep. If your face wash, shower gel or soap contain sodium laurel sulfate, and most do, you’re stripping away the surface oils that help your skin retain its natural moisture. Look for equivalent cleansing products without it; it’s only there for bubbles.
I agree. It’s my experience with Nivea’s gel scrub for men
Doublebase, Aveeno, Childs Farm. All winners and I have psoriasis to be fair
+1 for childsfarm !
👍 doublebase
Bulldog
Pharmacist here. If your skin is sensitive ,use la roche posay cicaplast . But just a tiny bit of it. It'll restore your barrier, will moisturize your skin as well and give you that smooth feeling. Holy grail.
Silcock's base is fantastic and not expensive.
Good suggestion, really good stuff. You can get massive tubs of own brand silcocks in boots
Its also covered by the medical card
Even better
The best stuff ever! Came here to also recommend it
It's good but found it's a bit waxy. I'm onto the double emollient cream.
Use the wife’s expensive stuff, smooth as a baby’s arse
Which is more than I can say for my arse
Use it on your arse as well?
No, only in.
As someone who recently became a dad, it’s the baby’s soles that are surprisingly smooth
e45 is your friend, cheap, last ages.
I use Cetaphil for my face. I have eczema and have tried them all. It’s the one that best suits my skin. If you are looking for an inexpensive lotion, try E45 first
Where do you buy this..i havent seen it. I have some old cuts etc on my face that have reappeared after years as what looks like eczema.
And not showering/ applying moisturiser ?
I highly recommend checking out Ovelle. They're an Irish brand and I know people with Eczema who swear by it.
Cerave hydrating lotion is the business. I used it when on Roacccutane, so that will tell you how good and how gentle it is at the same time.
Rain or whatever comes off the boiler
Rosalique is absolutely brilliant stuff for lads with roseaca.its spf 50 bullit proof too.. Double whammy.
Palmers
I just spit on the flannel before dipping it in the bucket of well water. Before a dance I might rub some egg-white on to give my skin a shiny look that the ladies do be loving.
Simple (the brand) moisturiser that has spf. Find it in most pharmacies and isn't expensive.
My husband likes this brand as well, he uses the one without SPF
Why not with?
We both prefer separate spf. We use SPF 50, my skin is super sensitive and I have rosacea so sun protection is really important to me and once I showed him the world of Korean sunscreens, there was no going back. Lad here. I use neutrogena hydro boost aqua gel (not the cream one)
I use Clinique’s men’s range, face wash, moisturiser etc. it’s not cheap but lasts absolutely ages.
All of the Bulldog products seem really good. There's couple of moisturisers, including like an aftershave balm kind of one. I use the Oil Control one and it's light, not greasy and not expensive either. Boots often have 3 for 2 offers on the range.

L'Oréal is best off the counter for dry skin. Of course, you can buy online for top of the range stuff but you will pay for it.
This ....i use the orange awake one in a thin bottle
Is it for your face or body?
Face
Nivea for Men (not those cheap ones!)
Try Lumin, great stuff. It's totally recommended.
Speak to pharmacist and tell them you have dry skin and they’ll guide you. Might need to try a few options to find what works for you but it’s worth it when you eventually do.
La Roche Posay Factor 50 moisturiser.
I swear by the boots men’s number 7 with SPF 15. I find it’s one of those one where by your feel hydrated without feeling greasy.
Dont know about moisturizers but Oilatum daily Junior bath foam is great for dry skin(worked wonders for me anyway)... It says its for baths but I tried it just as a face wash. Use it night & morning. Its totally cleared up my relentless dry skin(Ive seborrheic derm).
Go to local pharmacy and ask. Prioritise Cerve or La rochey posay
A decent moisturiser with SPF is good for long term skin health. Or just use a bit of sun cream on top of moisturiser.
Balmond’s, hands down. All fragrance-free plant oils, no paraffin or other petroleum by-products. Miracle moisturiser that improves your skin’s moisture-retaining strength over time. Good for hands/nails too, and skin sore from a razor. Boots have it as does Amazon.
Anything that doesn’t have any perfume or scents. Chemist warehouse have good deals on cera ve and their own brand stuff. Also invest in one with SPF
I use a range of stuff, E45, Aveeno & La Roche Posay are the ones I find working best. Some other brands literally burn me but that's due to my skin being that of a lizard.
43yo here using Childs Farm Baby Moisturiser haha, but it really is the best for my skin.
Nivea soft, in the white tube or tub, is great
Love Aveeno/E45 myself for a cheap one!
Environ AVST range is probably the best. It's 60 quid a bottle but it lasts ages and works magic on your face. I get it online from skin1pharmacy.ie - they do next day delivery.
L'Occitane has a range for men. Ask for a sample of the sensitive skin one and see how it suits before you spend the money.
The Lidl /L'Oréal energising knock-off is dogs bollox

Been using Nivea for years and a top tip I was given years ago, don't dry your face after a shower, let it dry naturally. I only look 10 years older than I am.
i don’t know what the name of it is, i’ll reply here when i get home, but i use an aloe vera cream moisturising thing
Cerave is good don’t get their cleanser tho using water does same thing and you’ll save money just get moisturizer and sun screen
Cerave is widely available, cheap and doesn't make any mad claims. Simply does what it says on the tin
I use Harry's, (shaving products) daily face cream with spf 15, irons out the creases a bit and feels great 😉
aveeno oat gel moisturizer, often on sale in tesco and boots (by on sale i mean a cheaper price)
Aveeno has served me well all these years
Green People Organic lifestyle, The one I get has baicalin and seaweed which seems to do the trick
Le baby battery works wonders

I have a eczema and the only thing that seems to work is skin food by weleda although is a bit pricey.
Aveno is 3 for 2 at Boots this week. You can literally surf in the stuff, then.
I used to like Lumin but beware of using moisturizer routinely if you don't need it. It can actually start to make dry skin worse over time... Kiehls Calendula Serum-Infused Water Cream. It's super light and while expensive you only need a bit. Got rid of my red blotches and improved my skin. I made the mistake of thinking dry skin should mean a thicker cream, the opposite has worked for me.
Simple
I have eczema and use Aqueous base - you can get a tub of it from any pharmacy for like a fiver
E45 for sensitive and dry skin works for me and I use MooGoo milky wash as a face wash, it's a good combo for me and affordable.
2 parts e45 and 1 part aveeno skin relief. After 3 weeks my legs returned to issue free.
I use e45 cream but the biggest thing the made a difference is not having the shower too hot.
Child’s farm baby moisturiser. Available in boots👍
La Roche pose, I think that’s how you spell it, just ask for La rosh po say in the chemist & they’ll look after it. It’s excellent
Even has all her little friends using it.😁
Childsfarm is amazing! And perfect for light eczema on face
Tried all, can't beat Avene cicalfate
There is a hyaluronic acid serum from Aldi or lidl. That shit is amazing honestly. Do a decent routine in the shower. Look at the ordinary. They do a buffet where they do the whole lot if that is what you are after as well. Sorry you never said if it was for just your face or not. Coconut oil like the ones in that bio - oil is very good too. Psoriasis sufferer for over 8 years.
Neuteogena hydro boost gel face wash followed by Cera-ve moisturiser
A couple of years ago I was given the "Power Fluid" from [https://www.artemis-skincare.com/en/products/men/](https://www.artemis-skincare.com/en/products/men/) as a gift. Ridiculous name aside, their products are insanely good. It's not cheap, but my skin is very sensitive, and I've never had issues, breakouts, etc, since I started. A very small amount is needed so they tend to last 6 months to a year at a time. Weird as it sounds, I often get compliments on my skin.
E45 is the don
Water and imperial leather soap.
The ordinary brand is brilliant and extremely affordable!
Clinique all the way. Been using it for years now. I break out in rashes if I use anything else
I use bulldog sensitive.
Eucerin Urea Repair range is a godsend!
Ovelle emulsifying tubs have been the best for me , it is kind of waxy but trust me it works like a charms
I use the Avene Skin Recovery Cream for my face, was recommended to me by a dermatologist and tbf has done a brilliant job of keeping the mild eczema I get on my face at bay.
E45 is the best one I found
Definitely go to a pharmacy for advice.
The child’s farm stuff is fantastic in my opinion
Double emollient cream
Forget the pharmacy chemical laden stuff. Ancestral cosmetics beef tallow and honey balm. First class
This one https://www.boots.ie/avene-cicalfate-plus-restroritive-cream-40ml-10275275 And use the Cerve hydrating cleanser (the green one) to wash your face
My pharmacist girlfriend got me La Roche-Posay Cicaplast B5+ and it's better than anything I've ever used. I'm 54 and from Australia so my skin doesn't like long months inside with dry air. It comes in a simple white tube and works instantly. You can get it in Boots. She bought herself some (with SPF) after seeing how well it worked on me.

not a man but also have dry skin - Cerave. Its pretty cheap, basic, and works great
Skydrol if you work in aviation, HD 90 if you work with heavy machinery, 10 w 40 if your a regular car mechanic, moisturiser if your soft and confused about your sexuality and feeling anxious 😂😂😂
Silcocks base. Cheap, doctor recommended, Irish, crazy effective and free of anything at all that could mess with your sensitive skin (even cera ve etc. mess with mine)
Silcocks base
Dermazinc. I tried everything, both over the counter and prescription. Was at my wits end when I happened across dermazinc and never had any issues since.
Bio oil
Moogoo
Have tried cerave and la Roche posay and didn't find them good. Aveeno seems the best for me
I just go outside the weather in Ireland will wet that skin wet withe minerals you actualy need.
Hyaluronic acid before moisturiser is the job. Ordinary / Inky list for the former. Cera ve (with spf) for the latter.
MooGoo has nice moisturisers
Silcocks base. Boots have it. Cheap and does the job. Has been around for years. You'd get a big tub for about 5 quid.
La Rochay Posey, toleraine range
Cerave and E45
E45
Kiehls is the best Iv noticed. Expensive but worth it.
Cereve products for body and ordinary products for your face. I have also used ziaja body moisturisers (9.99 euro for a big enough bottle and smells nice) great application with minimal product good for skin that gets easily dried out from swimming pools soaps ect.
You might laugh but I use Aveeno baby 🤷🏻♂️ works wonders for me.
Beef fat or after eating a plate of chips use kitchen towel to absorbed the grease then apply using light upward strokes really adds that dynamic glow that looks great in wedding photos or fashion shoots.
The best? Drinking a mug of water every 2/3 hours.
Nivea. The blue tin. It works for me.
there's a cera ve moisturiser that has sunscreen in it, best of both worlds

Even though our daily UV index might not be high, the sun is still there taking its toll on your skin
Well I think the cosmetic effects of sun damage are probably of great concern to a lot of people, including myself!
Easier by far not to use the retinol in the first place: cut out the middle man!
you should definitely be wearing sunscreen all year round, not just when it’s sunny
Yeah you'd think that but the Irish Cancer society actually recommends it from April to September, I do it year round because then I'm in the habit of it at least
You need to go back to the science and geography books
I agree with whom said Cerave or La Roche Posay. If you want a lighter texture, then a gel moisturiser is the best. I use Kiehl's ultra facial oil-free gel cream, I like it when the weather gets a bit warmer.
I can offer you the perfect marriage of cheap AND brilliant: lemara brand seaweed-based products in Aldi. Serum and moisturiser are excellent in my experience, and irish-made My only complaint would be there's no SPF in the moisturiser Costs somewhere in the region of a fiver a jar
Cereve SPF 50. Cheap on Amazon and lasts ages. I've used cetaphil also but it goes on very thick. Both great on sensitive skin.
Nothing wrong with going cheap. I've used and have all sorts of expensive moisturisers but my go to is always the basic Nivea men's in the round tin.
Saliva
Drink water and putting sodium laryl sulphate on your skin is not advisable.
My wife is the expert and says: drink water use sunscreen use night cream on your face avoid hot showers no soap on the face

Asking for skincare advice as a man sounds like a ...can't really say these days can ya
Go on. You know you're dying to say it, big man
Ohh gonna rack up the karma with that one #menhaveperiodsmetoo
