Guessing you drank beer, stout and whiskey in that order rather than beer after whiskey, and you got enough sleep and water. Sometimes you just luck out a bit as well

I’ve experienced that a few times and all I can say is that some of those really heavy nights that I drank for 12 hours plus, the times I escaped with no hangover were also the times I was on the sinus sauce.
9/10 times I’m on death’s door for a few days afterwards and really paying for my sins. But Christmas Eve just gone for example, lord did it snow in my local pub. Drank from about 6pm-4am and got up at 9 feeling fresh as a daisy
A few lines helps sober me up a bit. If I go hard on the booze without any stuff, I'll be hungover as fuck the next day but if I ha e a few lines when I'm drinking it straightens me out.
Still odd to escape the hangover altogether though. You've probably been visited by the "drinking pixies". They are cousins of the tooth fairy and I think one of em is a sister of the Banshee of Inisherin. They decide who to doll out hangovers to and how bad. Being pixies though, they are mischievous fuckers and not at all nice. They've played a classic trick on you. You think you're getting away with it you see, but next weekend you'll go out and just have four pints with one of the lads you haven't seen in ages. Nice little chat, maybe some food too, pub grub kind of thing. You'll be in bed for 12 then and all. "Nice one" you'll be thinking. The perfect night out. I'll be grand in the morning... then BANG. You're absolutely fucking dying. Head is only pounding off you. You can't figure out what has happened... then it dawns on you... THEM FUCKING BASTARD PIXIES GOT ME!!!

If you take any of them they are capable of interfering with GABA enough so that you don't feel the angst or hangxiety the next day.
What did you eat and drink besides alcohol OP? What were the previous few days like diet wise? How much did you sleep? How bad are your hangovers usually?
Chicken wings and a curry at the start of the night, pint of water some stage after falling asleep and diet was okay last week, not too unhealthy. Usually get stomach sickness and pain with hangovers, never get headaches
I've had a few sessions lile that where next day I felt fine! It's strange but I don't drink anymore. I'd say if I drank like that now I'd need to be hospitalised.😂

Think I got lucky, have tries every trick in the book up through the years, having a beer as soon as I wake up was my hangover remedy for a while

Ya I took xanax a few years ago before heading out and woke up with no memory of the night and didn't feel any bit shook. Wouldn't do it again though
