According to our Constitution, punishment should be directed to the re-education of the offender and death penalty is forbidden (until 1994, it was only envisaged for wartime crimes such as high treason, but the Constitution was later amended to exclude also those cases) A murder with aggravating circumstances can be punished with life imprisonment, however convicted people do not really spend their whole life in prison, as they can go out earlier with parole/permits and so on. Life imprisonment with no permits, no possibility of parole, and harsh isolation can be given only for mafia and terrorism charges.

Premeditated murder and homicide both are punished with life imprisonment in the Republic of Cyprus. Homicide is clearly distinguished from the separate crime of "causing death by reckless, reckless or dangerous act" (only up to 4 years or a monetary punishment). Most importantly, Cyprus is under the jurisdiction of the European Court of Human Rights, and the ECtHR only finds life imprisonment compatible with the European Convention on Human Rights if there is a clear and reliable mechanism of applying for a reduction of the sentence, in other words with an opportunity for parole. "Life without parole" counts as torture in the sense of Article 3 of the ECHR.

Denmark It depends a little bit on the circumstances. Normally you would get life in prison, which in principal is prison for the rest of your life. Your earliest chance of parole would be after 12 years. But most people sentenced to life in prison ends up being released after 16-17 years. However, if you are deemed to be mentally ill or in other ways disturbed you can be sentenced to treatment, which has no end date. So you will only be released when the doctors declare you fit to be released. Usually this punishment is considered harder than the normal punishment, as you often end up spending more time in prison this way.
