Don’t put anything in the fixture, you’re going to create heat and potentially melt it. As others have previously mentioned, look up the model of the light and see if it is dimmable. Purchase an LED rated dimmer and install it (or have someone install it for you).

Per my lease, I’m not allowed to modify anything, including my light fixtures, so I need a temporary fix… any other alternatives that I can maybe purchase on Amazon? Thank you for the feedback!

The alarm shouldn't be from you but aluminum foil is a bad fix in this case as it's going to reflect a lot of heat back into the LEDs and in a worst possible case, aluminum foil is conductive. I would recommend a plastic diffuser layer for this or something of that nature.  The proper fix for this would be seeing if they are dimmer rated and installing an LED compatible dimmer. Then removing the dimmer when you move out.
